My husband stopped getting our peroxide there for our water because they have been rude every time he goes in to do it. Treating your customers with bad attitude and making them feel that shopping at your store is bothersome is a great way to upset the locals and drive your business down. We usthe other ACE where they appreciate the business!

The store is so neat and organized. The staff is very friendly ( they even gave our dogs biscuits) and helpful.

The people are great, but the store is not what it used to be. Selection is a lot less. I don t go half as much as I used to. That was two years ago before it became Hatchet Hardware. The are still reorganizing so it's a bit scattered right now (8/23/20) but stay tuned from the looks of things I have great expectations. As of 12/1/20 the store is much better stocked and staff helpful and very nice. Review is going up a star.UPDATE: As of 7/17/21 Store is much better stocked and organized. Staff is always friendly and helpful, my only disappointment is finding Sheetmetal and wood screws still slot heads as I am always looking for Phelps. Nice Job Hatchet, the stars go up!Update: as of 1/11/24 - Just when I think I learned my way around the store they change things. However things change because of new stock so it is always fun relearning my way. Some staff has changed from the start some the same, what has not changed is the service. I do like being able to get some seasonal stuff in the off season, something that never happens in big box stores. Always nice always helpful even when they don't know what I'm talking about,as what's in my head does not always work in the real world. Great people beautiful store.

Found everything I needed they are pricey but when you live in fort plain and don't wanna drive far it's to be expected staff was very helpful and nice as well.

Pretty friendly staff. Pretty good selection of stuff but not much in the way of shower faucets.They should have most things you would need in a small town hardware store.

Service is pretty stellar, range of products is awesome for a small town. 4 stars instead of 5 only because of how expensive everything seems to be there. Can usually find cheaper elsewhere....but maybe elsewhere is amazon.

Updated from 4 to 5 stars after 7 months (see my initial 4-star review below) They have further expanded their inventory, filling the shelves with a pretty impressive selection. The help has settled in and smiles comfortably when you walk in. This is a small town and relationships make a difference.Initial review - Store is well-stocked and prices are competitive. This will save me the lengthy drive to Herkimer and Amsterdam. I'll reserve my fifth star until the new help has time to get to know their regular customers. They're still a little awkward and aloof.

They have people who are willing to help at all times lead you right to what youre looking for, share their ideas on projects and if you become a rewards member you receive free coupons of 5.00 some times more off your purchases. Also have military discount. One of my favorite places to shop.

My husband always drag's me into all these hardware stores with endless tools but to my surprise he found one that I actually love going to. I always find the coolest gifts for family and friends and the cute little candle corner is just my thing.

A little bit smaller than the last location but still friendly people to do business with. Not a very large selection of Christmas lights or decorations. They are happy to order what you need though

I have shopped many times at Hatchet in Palatine Bridge. My one star feedback has nothing to do the the remodel of the store or whether they have stocked shelves. As a business owner, I feel it necessary to provide feedback on my recent experience with the management staff. In the short time I was in the store the manager on duty seemed aloof and irritated with the other team members. Perhaps this was an isolated instance for the manager. I hope so because this experience made me feel bad for the customer service staff and I personally felt unsettled. On the fence as to whether to shop here again...

I drive for Clinton's ditch delivered a load of wood pellets today and the young man who unloaded the truck did a great job and had great attitude the owner of this company should be proud to have a employee like this working for him.

Needs to be renovated. Not up to date. Parking lots a little ruff. Location needs to fill there empty stores. It's good location for the town. The stores that are there have most things you would be looking for. Just out of date. The workers there are friendly and helpful.

There was an item we needed. The price was listed on a sign in the wall,but the clerk told us that we can't get it there. There is a terrible smell in the building that gives me a headache Everytime I go in there. The people who work there are extremely nice and helpful!!! The prices are a bit high and sales you see on TV commercials, don't seem to apply to this store...

I was just sold driveway sealer that was over a year old and ruined my driveway. After a call to Ace Hardware of Palatine Bridge, NY, I was informed that the sealer was stored at their location in a shed over the winter. (We are located in the northeast, with below zero temperatures.)One of the co-owners was both rude and condescending when I requested repair reimbursement. She stated that she is not responsible for the fact that she sold a product which they compromised, and that damaged my driveway as a result of their negligence. I will agree that this is not "responsible" business practice.It is important to mention that the working staff at Ace Hardware in Palatine Bridge, NY are pleasant and helpful.I am still seeking a resolution.

Check out is very slow and too many products do not have their prices marked. I realize they are in transition with a recent relocation but this needs to be a priority as customers shouldn't feel they are rolling the dice when making a purchase.
