I'm giving them a one star because it's not possible to give them a Zero, which is what they are. Needed to have my house winterized last November, and Fred the Plumber from Hell arrived with a very arrogant and misogynistic attitude. He did not want me to speak to him or even show him where the basement was. "I'm going to follow the pipes" he told me. After 1 hour he told me he was done. I was shocked and asked him if he blew out the pipes as the previous plumber used to take 4-5 hours winterizing the house. He seemed to be annoyed by me speaking to him and said: "that is not necessary. All that needs to be done is to drain the pipes." I asked whether he used antifreeze; again, he said: "that's not necessary except for the toilets." He then wrote up a list of items he "would like to do next Spring during the re-opening". (He spoke to me as though he was the owner of the house, and I was a small child.) He seemed more intent on adding sales items than to take care of the task at hand. Upon re-opening the house on 5/11/23, he found a "leak" and blamed it on the copper piping, telling me I would need to replace all the copper piping. He told me he'll "come back sometime next week to fix the leak". I'm still waiting... I spoke to the company secretary, Elise, several times and asked to speak to the owner, Justin Mattice. She responded that "it's not company policy for Justin to call up customers". (???) To date, no one has called to apologize or even acknowledge that there was a problem. Meanwhile I have over $10,000 in damages to 4 broken pipes, the furnace which was hit by the spraying water, a retention tank which gushed water and the water softener and carbon filter froze and cracked at the base. He also had removed the shutoff valve for no apparent reason which caused all kinds of chaos during the leaks. It is just now, about 6 weeks later, that I am finally able to do other things besides mopping up the mess that was left in my house. Use them at your own peril, and only if you enjoy dealing with broken pipes, leaking water systems and arrogant plumbers.

Mattice Mechanical handled a sewer line break for my girlfriend and myself at our new home. Upon moving in we realized our main sewer line was broken. We used a different company prior to Mattice and the problem was not fixed after 7 trips out to our home. We called Mattice Mechanical for a second opinion. They came in, found the problem within an hour and did all they could to help us out. Once the problem was discovered, they formulated a plan and executed it to perfection. They were extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable and affordable. I can’t say enough about this company. They were amazing and I will be a lifelong customer. I highly recommend Mattice Mechanical to anyone in need of HVAC, plumbing or heating issues. Great work by this company and thank you for all you do!!

I had my kitchen remodeled and a bathroom added to the 1st floor. Contractor subcontracted the plumbing to Mattice and the new toilet leaked because the tank was not fastened tight enough and ruined the new floor. A new sink was installed in the kitchen and there is little water pressure as compared to old one. The drain from the upstairs toilet leaked so he spent an hour and about $20 for parts replacing the pipe and charged me $750. Poor workmanship and price gouged because he said he had to come off another job to do it.

Was taken advantage of in an emergency situation for one of my tenants. Long story short, was price gouged by at least double, according to my regular plumber that was unable to get to the situation soon enough. Replaced 5’ of drain pipe, after cutting hole in ceiling, $1000! Have since learned this is a regular practice of theirs, despite the “few” good ratings they’ve gotten.
