We were very pleased with the complete bathroom renovation done by Gustavo Lojano and his crew.Gustavo is a talented craftsman who takes pride in his work. Because of that, he expects the same from his team. Whether it was the plumber, the electrician, the tilesetter or any of the other specialists he brought to the job, they all did everything well. Gustavo also has an eye for detail and he made several recommendations that improved the final product. His prices are fair and he keeps his word. I intend to recommend him to others who appreciate quality workmanship.

We've worked with Gustavo on two projects and I would absolutely hire him again in the future.The most recent project was fairly large. We hired him as the general contractor to convert our unfinished attic space into two bedrooms and one bathroom. This involved demolishing a portion of the roof, framing a large dormer, and the entire interior, electrical, plumbing, insulation and all finishing. I trusted Gustavo throughout the process and could tell that he put great pride in his work and was always striving for quality. For example, I am not particularly knowledgeable about construction, but one of our neighbors pointed out to us that they noticed he was using high quality lumber when they saw the materials outside our house. We had the architect on site several times throughout the project and he never had any concerns with the work being done. No issues came up during any of our inspections by the town and the building inspector also made comments to us that the work was done well.We got several bids on the project and I also appreciated that Gustavo gave us an itemized proposal including separating material and labor costs for all the work he was planning to do. He was also willing to work with us on creating a reasonable payment schedule for the project.The other project was more medium size. During our home inspection prior to purchasing our house the inspector identified that the construction on the deck in the back was done very poorly by the previous owners. The joists were all rotting, flashing was not installed correctly causing the sill plate of the house to begin rotting. The project involved repairing the poorly done work. The project was a few years back so I can't remember all the details, but there were no hiccups of note that I can recall.

We worked with Gustavo for two renovation projects: a bathroom remodel and an entire basement build out. The bathroom remodel was done quickly and the crew was always on time and clean. The basement build out was a big job: installed beams, added a bathroom, sound proofing, insulation, and custom carpentry. We are absolutely thrilled with how everything came out - Gustavo is always reachable and responsive, his crew is respectful and clean, and everyone is meticulous and great at their specialties. When the major beams holding up my 100 year old house finally collapsed, I had to find a general contractor to fix the problem. I vetted about four other different companies, but only one showed up with a pretty good idea of what was needed to rectify the problems. Well, I picked a winner. That was Gustavo Lejano, Contracting. I chose this company because Mr Gustavo had the necessary package deal to get the job done right. He had knowledge of current industry codes, the diligence to show up on time, and the men that followed in the same qualities. The project was a six week project and I am supper pleased with the end result. The foundation of my house is fixed, stable and sound for years to come. The foundation is also now completely up to current industry codes and the value of the house has increased. It is very satisfying when one finds a nugget and Gustavo Lejano Contracting is a nugget I highly recommend.I want to add the negatives. Mr Gustavo knew that when the house would be lifted the walls throughout the house would crack. Something I did not know. He should have made me aware and offered to repair at a reasonable price. He did not. There is a beam in the kitchen area that expanse in the summer and retracts in the winter. He should have fixed this as it was part of the repairs, but he refused when I brought it to his attention.Although, the work under the house was good for the most part there is definite need for improvement on their business.

Gustavo and his crew did repairs and renovation of my basement bedroom and den. The results are fantastic. I was so impressed that I had him replace all the windows in the house, all the doors in the house, and replace the inadequate, dirty attic insulation with new material that is up to standards. My house is transformed ! You will love the work that Mr. Lojano does. He is detail oriented and does not cut any corners. Everything is solid and done the right way. His prices are competitive. His crew and subcontractors are all polite, neat and tidy, hard-working and skilled. He has a good eye for seeing the small changes that improve the overall appearance of a space.
