We were long overdue for a new roof, and were struggling to find a company that would even call us back. The couple that did provided insanely high estimates. GKontos is a game changer! They were friendly, prompt, professional and helpful every step of the way. They provided superior service from day one. They completed our roof quickly and efficiently, leaving no mess behind. It's safe to say our property was cleaner when they left, and we thank them for that. They were very clear with changes that came up day of, but those changes were anticipated. Hands down, the best experience we could have asked for. We have already recommended them to a family member and will continue to do so!

Gkontos did an excellent job and applied top quality material. Their folds who I spoke to along the way behaved very professionally and were always courteous and clear. They worked with the material supplier to arrange for a warranty, and entered the application to secure it. The work crew came on the days that were planned and finished the work when they had committed to. When I asked for additional cleanup where there was some minor discoloration of the driveway, they did a thorough job and left it looking very good. They were relatively expensive, but I believe that the premium job and materials make it worth the cost.

It was quite an experience watching the team of guys on the job - everyone worked in synchrony as in a well cheorographed act, each knowing what he had to do. Everything was thought through and professionally executed - you can quickly tell they are a very experienced team. Tarp surrounded the house to allow the old shingles and debris slide to the ground without touching or harming any existing installations; safety harness for all workers on the roof; provision of a dumpster to hold and remove debris from the site; and sweeping the grounds around the house for nails with a rolling magnet. Quite simply, a most professional job and it was all done in a day! I have no hesitation recommending GKontos - so glad we were given the recommendation to contact them.Service: Roof installation

Well, I’ll start by saying I am not one to leave reviews. But I felt that not leaving this company a review would be a disservice.Gkontos was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. I had several quotes from different companies. Some that were better priced, but I chose Gkontos due to their Rep Greg who came to my house and was a very honest and straight forward person. I had a good feeling from him and so did my wife. We decided that this was the company for us.From the start of the roof installation I was greeted by Zach and he was pretty much on site the entire time that the roofers were doing their thing. He was professional and very understanding. Everyone came on time which is a huge plus to me because I always live by the mantra that if you’re on time you’re late.The roofers were fast, efficient and did an excellent job. My roof looks amazing and I can’t thank all the people at GKontos enough. Even the set up and clean up of everything was done so well that nothing was left behind.Paying attention to detail is such an important thing to me and this company nailed it. We had been dreading getting a new roof, but due to evident leaks and an existing roof more than 22 years old, it was time. I got estimates from three different area companies, one estimate was almost twice as high as the other two estimates and GKontos was the most affordable option. GKontos was also the most thorough in inspection, customer service and installation. They were friendly, available and made the process extremely easy. The workmanship and supplies used qualify us for the GAF Golden Pledge Warranty which essentially guarantees replacement materials, labor, cost to tear off, etc. for 50 years! We could not be more pleased with the finished product. From time of contract signature to installation (which only took one day) the process took less than one month. We highly recommend.

We had a tree fall on our house this June. Called many roofers, John came told us what needed to be done, exactly what our Insurance Adjuster said. The crew showed up and did a fabulous job, not a single nail left behind! Mckenna could not have been nicer to deal with at the office. After a horrible experience with the tree, GKontos made it better. I will recommend this organization to anyone who needs a new roof or repair!

We just had our roof replaced by GKontos. The first thing that we liked was that Greg, the salesperson and estimator, told us that our roof really didn't need replacing yet, which we knew. However, we were concerned about some shingle movement, which he gave some possible reasons for and my husband checked. We ultimately decided to replace the roof now before any problems arose, but there was no pressure from Greg. We called several other local companies to get bids. Two did not return calls and one did not show up when we said we were getting several bids. My husband worked with contractors often in his job and we were comfortable that GKontos's estimate was fair. When they came, they were prompt and immediately started working. They tarped the front and back of the house to prevent damage to the siding and shrubbery as they were removing the old roof. They had a big crew and worked efficiently and completed the job in one day. Zach was on site and provided updates, as needed. We did have to have three roof panels replaced and were informed and shown why. One small suggestion we have is that customers automatically be shown photos of flashing installation around roof incursions like chimneys and skylights. We could get them on request, but got busy and forgot to ask. The roof looks great and we are very pleased. We would not hesitate to recommend GKontos Roofing.Service: Roof installation

They were attentive in giving me an estimate, took care of all of the permits quickly, and did the job in a day.I had a leaking flat roof caused by bad flashing and a whole mess of other shoddy workmanship by whoever did my original roof. The repairs that GKontos did involved replacing the flat roof, and tearing up a portion of my pitched shingle roof to join the two properly. They matched my existing roof shingles perfectly in terms of color and did an outstanding job reshingling and fixing some other flashing problems around my chimneys. We should have gone with these guys in the first place! My fiance and I had a new roof put on our home in November 2021 with a different company. We had the original roofer come back to "fix" issues with the new roof several times. The original roofer made a bad choice about ventilation in the attic space which led to a severe mold issue and costed us thousands to have remediated. That's when we called GKontos to help.The service staff at GKontos are undeniably some of the most professional and kind people I have ever worked with. After explaining what was going on they immediately sent an assessor over so we could get started right away. They came to our home, inspected the roof, and began making plans for proper ventilation of our attic right away. They made time for us in their busy schedule and completed the job about a week after our initial meeting. Their team worked diligently and quickly to help us in our time of need. The president of the company George even came out to make sure everything was going well. He even offered to help us with any legal issues with our previous roofer! Now we have a beautiful new ridge vent and confidence in the roof over our heads again.All we can say is that if you are still looking for a roofer for a new roof, ventilation help or minor repairs and guidance, stop wasting your time calling anyone else and hire these guys. We had our roof replaced about 10-12 years ago. I called back that company to evaluate a leak, determined to be from the skylights. They said it would take two days to replace 3 skylights, would take weeks to months to get the skylights. Had my suspicions, seemed overpriced, figured I would get another estimate. Most skylights are from Velux so I checked for local installers, read reviews, decided to call G. Kontos. Extent of damage was as reported. That's where the similarity ended. Price, for the same stuff, was about $2000 less than the first estimate. This has never been the deciding factor for me. They were much more professional from the start. Shorter turn around time to get the skylights (from the same manufacturer). The work was fantastic. Showed up at 8:30am and were done with all three skylights (2 in back, 1 in front on a roof with a steep pitch), cleaned up and gone, by 2:30pm. Shingles matched. I did not even have to clean up inside the house after they left. Rained/snowed the next day - no leaks. Extremely satisfied. Would highly recommend.Services: Skylight repair, Skylight installation

My husband and I needed to get our fascia board fixed, along with a new roof. We had Brian come out to give us a quote and he was so personal, yet professional, he really gave us a good vibe! Our financial situation has been difficult due to COVID, but Brian and the rest of the GKontos team were extremely patient with us and willing to work with us any way they could! The available financing options they have made it easier for my husband and I to budget out the expenses.
