Having contracted with Apex 6 years ago to install an array of solar panels on the roof of my house I can attest to the quality and professionalism of the entire team at Apex. Recently I had an issue with the communication aspect of my inverter. Phil at Apex deployed a technician to investigate. Noah arrived and quickly found and corrected the problem. In typical Apex fashion the team at Apex took care of everything with the highest professionalism. highly recommend.

Nine years ago, Apex installed my 13-panel system. Annually, it generates a bit over or under, depending upon snow cover each winter and has never required service on either my Axitec panels or Envision microinverters. After high wind and rains, my "30 year" roof developed a leak at only 18 years. The leak was North Side, not panel side, so it was un-related to the panels. While I worried about coordinating panel removal and reinstall with urgent need to replace roof, Apex accommodated my needs for both removal (by one day prior to roof replacement) and a few days later for reinstall. Timing was perfect and gave roofer ability to adjust for weather which he had to do. The four Apex staff I met, over the two trips, were highly professional, efficient and answered all my questions. While this was an unforeseen expense, it was not attributable to the solar panels and the cost fell within the range typical for this essential service. Fortunately, the system went back into full service without a hitch. Any production loss was negligible in this crucial spring period when we begin net-filling our annual solar bank in order to limit our monthly National Grid electric bill to an $18 meter charge. The team from Apex installed our Level 2 charger for our Electric Vehicle.They were very polite throughout the time they were at our home, and did a very clean installation routing the cable across our basement. They even reassembled the dropped ceiling (without being asked) after they ran the new wire from the basement to the garage.They didn't leave until we had tested the new setup with our vehicle.We were very pleased with their service and professionalism.

They showed up on time and in not so ideal conditions went right to work and completed my install in the exact timeframe they gave me and system was checked and confirmed panel we all on line and cleaned up thoroughly before departing. My solar panels have been installed since 2019. Apex has been a great partner throughout the entire build/install process as well as the service after the install. As with all electronic components exposed to the weather, there have been components which have failed and require replacement. My customer relations manager Phil has been a great partner with procuring the new replacement components from the manufacturer. Phil ensures all applicable warranties are applied and will work closely with you to schedule the right time to have the parts installed. Additionally, they will update the serial numbers of the replaced parts so the system can accurately monitor the electrical production. I have been very satisfied with Apex and am very happy with their customer support.

I had originally worked with Apex Solar on installing a solar panel system at my home in 2018. I was extremely happy at the time and had them install systems at 2 additional homes of my family members. Currently in January 2024, I have had some equipment issues. I reached out to their support team and have been working with Phil Oakes who have been amazing in helping me with the process. Phil is kind, knowledgeable and professional in his communications. He has been able to help me troubleshoot remotely and in doing so also explaining to me how they will help resolve problem. Ultimately it was a faulty inverter which Phil has been able to help me connect with the manufacturer to get a replacement. Thank you Phil. Thank you Apex Solar.

I have used Apex for two solar installations. They are professional, respectful of property and responsive. Both projects were done on time and there were no surprise costs during installation. When a couple of my solar panels did not produce as I expected, I reached out to their tech support staff. Phil in support worked quickly to resolve the problem and went the extra mile to make sure I understood what had happened and followed up with me afterwards. The really take a personal interest in their customer's projects. I would not hesitate to use them again.

The folks at Apex have been extremely helpful right from our first consideration of installing a PV Solar system. A moderate amount of paperwork was involved for a variety of project aspects (including system analysis/needs/system design, NYS permits, financial details), as well as the physical installation of the system.Under the direction of a project manager, our system was designed and built. The actual physical system was installed in a single day. We went online in July 2016 and have had our electric bills significantly reduced since that time. Apex and it's employers were very easy to work with and I have recommended them to friends and neighbors who are considering to install a solar system.

Stan and the team at APEX actually did a major, major roof job for us on commercial property in Lake George. They never quit even when supplies were back ordered, came in and did everything they could anytime they could. They over delivered on the main roof, had great patience and really buttoned up the whole project as promised. I'd certainly say they are a quality company and do quality work and communicate well too. Place was immaculate when they finished too!

Apex Energy was the company Chevrolet connected me with for the installation of my home EV charger. I had no real choice and in my experience when a company is thrust upon you that the customer service and services are less than stellar. Well that was certainly not the case with Apex. The communication from scheduling through installation was excellent AND the electrician was not just on time but a few minutes early. He took his time and explained everything he was going to be doing to me and then went about his task and before I knew it he was done. He demonstrated the EV charger, let me know what I needed to know and he was on his way. I should have bought a Powerball ticket because that was clearly a lucky day when considered home improvement types of experiences. Thank you Apex all the way through from the office staff, the coordinator, and again the actual electrician. Much appreciated.

My roof asphalt shingles need replacement after just 15 years. I contacted Apex for a quote to remove the panels and then replace after new roof is on. Myself and everyone I talked to figured $4-5k for a reasonable price. The quote they gave me was $21k+. Does anyone besides me feel this is insane? Everyone does. They basically take the money and RUN. They either DON’T want your business or figure they got you by the balls and you have to pay it.Heads up people. The ONLY thing they’re getting from me is this review. If you ever plan on getting a solar system on your roof consider this and LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. Or get your system on posts. Don’t use Apex at all! Thanks for ABSOLUTELY nothing Apex.

I needed technical service on my solar system in Syracuse. I was concerned with Apex being located so far away that it would be difficult to get someone locally. I was pleasantly surprised by the corporate service people, Megan and Phil, being so helpful and responsive. They listened to my needs and constructed the best solution for my situation. I was doubly surprised that they sent Riley, who is actually here locally and spent a good deal of time servicing my system. Riley was very knowledgeable and friendly and took time to listen to my questions providing great technical advice. I would recommend Apex Solar to anyone interested in solar for their home. We had our solar system installed with Apex in 2016. Joe Terreri was attentive from start to finish. The install took just 6 weeks from first meeting to install date. During the past seven years Apex has come out twice to fix things that cropped up, and they did so with great honesty (one issue was their own fault. We would never have known that without them telling us). They made the corrections quickly at their own expense. The second time was due to an inverter fault, which they processed through the warranty quickly and efficiently. We are always perfectly satisfied with their prompt, professional service and highly recommend them to all our friends.

from the get go apex was upfront: just get what you need, no its not an investrment for the greedy, it might take 15 years for a roi....took 6 1/2 years only!. yes srec is good but then stay on the grid. now batteries may come in cheaper when srec rules are out. but the real gain is that in mass we can have the meter go backwards. as long as this rule reigns solar is eminently profitable in the long run.btw half life of pv is 50 years! cant beat that.

Thank you, Apex Solar, for our amazing PV system and battery! My husband and I both work from home, and were regularly dealing with power outages in our area. This upgrade has been a game changer! We had a couple of issues getting things up and running, but Apex was responsive and able to tackle the issue. It’s really hard to imagine not having solar now. I highly recommend Apex!

Installed ChargePoint in our garage. They were able to complete the job without me being home. Took about 3 hours. Called me once to verify everything before starting. Jake is very helpful and responsive. When I arrived home, charger was neatly installed and ready to go! Quote was reasonable and this was one of the most efficient services we have used. Will definitely use them again!

Apex installed my solar panels a few years ago and did a great job. Recently we asked them to hardwire our monitoring system. There were problems doing that and after several unproductive appointments they sent a newer hire out named Riley. Riley had some problems with it too but wouldn't give up and was able to pinpoint the problem fairly quickly. Riley did a wonderful job!!!

We got our solar panels from Apex in 2016, and they have been working very well. We had an issue with the communication from the inverter to the "Solar Edge" monitoring app. Today, Riley and Seth came out and fixed that. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We have a failed inverter that Apex Solar installed after less than a year and have zero generation right now. But Apex Solar won't return our calls or schedule a time for repair/replacement. We've called a dozen times and left a dozen messages but still don't have a scheduled time. Apex Solar will happily take your money but if you need a repair they disappear!Also, they're supposed to give a referral bonus if you recommend them to a friend, we haven't seen a cent from them!

I give this company 3-4 stars for installing a 10kW solar system for me 5 years ago. However, they really don't deserve high marks. I recently discovered that my 3G inverter is not longer able to transmit and receive data as 3G is no longer supported. I asked Apex to quote me on the cost of running a short 10ft Cat5/6 cable to my router. They send me a $500 quote. They have no shame. Anyone can run a cable for a fraction of the above estimate. It will not cost me more than $5 on the cable. It is shameful to take advantage of your customers.
