I hired this firm and the owner (Mr. David Burns) to build my ranch-style custom home (about 2,500 sq ft). Construction began in August 2022, and my family moved into our new house in December 2023. I'm writing this review as of April 2, 2024.Our brand-new house has rooms that are not square and level, and some of the walls are not square either. Moreover, I still deal with unfinished works (septic mound, dry kitchen finish, drywall crack repair, final grading) and defects.The defects identified but unfixed so far include- radiant heating pipe leak in the concrete slab- septic trench exposure at the drain field- uneven concrete subfloor causing broken and dipped floors throughout the house.- wavy and warped exterior vinyl sidings- water puddles on the concrete patio, which are directed toward the foundation- leak from radiant heating pressure gaugesFor the past 3 months of our residency, the following were the defects that Mr. Burns and I had to deal with:- cupped, lifting engineered hardwood floor throughout the house due to improper installation and a pipe leak (insurance settlement will cover the floor, trim, and installation costs)- dryer exhaust vented to the garage (the vent has been extended to the outside across the garage)- water dripping from the kitchen exhaust hood and 3 bathroom ventilation fans (fixed by insulating the ducts)I hope my recent experiences with this firm and Mr. David Burns help people looking for a reliable contractor to build their homes.

Dave and the Duramax team built us a brand new 1,300 sqft house with a garage and a walk out basement in just over 6 months! We got the custom home we wanted fast and at a value we could afford. He worked with us to find property to build on, then helped us to find and personalize a spec home to fit what we wanted. David Burns, and his Duramax Developers crew, have done many large (and small) jobs for us including poured concrete walls, boathouse renovation, master bedroom build and, most recently, a two bay garage and workshop. In all cases, he has been professional, able, competent and honest. His integrity is unquestionable and the end products speak for themselves. We would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Dave Burns and Duramax Developers built our home in 2015/2016. Every detail was done in a careful, creative, attentive,manner. Excellent work was done throughout the home. Dave and his team were excellent. We had two separate projects that needed to be done urgently and Dave was super responsive and highly professional. Would definitely recommend for projects of any size.Service: Remodeling
