A few months ago we had a major water leak that damaged our kitchen requiring a full gut remodel.After an exhaustive search of over seven different contractors and feeling like we couldn't find the right fit our insurance company put us in touch with Josh and Hands On Restoration. Immediately upon meeting Josh and assessing the damage I was put at ease. He walked me through the entire process of remodeling our kitchen while we also lived and (I) worked in the apartment.His crew arrived on time, we’re very respectful, fast, friendly and delivered great quality.As many of us know, contractors are notorious for not being responsive or communicating potential delays. We can say without a doubt that was not the case with Josh. He always reached out the evening before to let us know when the crew would arrive the following day.He also recommended a local countertop manufacturer that was very reasonably priced.We couldn't be happier with the final outcome!

I sustained pretty extensive water damage at my property. I have been working with Josh and can't say enough good things about the experience. The assessment was beyond thorough. He is very responsive. He makes thoughtful recommendations but leaves the final decision to you. His team works with a high degree of professionalism and does quality work. Overall this is the best company on Long Island to get your project done correctly, efficiently, and professionally!Excellent Company to use. I was put in touch with Hands On Restoration from State Farm. They came over and assessed my damage that was done in the basement. Very professional took care of the mess that was left from the clean up crew SurgePro. They went above on and beyond creating my new bathroom, and basement. I gave them the paint color to use and went through other various items. Very knowledgeable about what to do and overall fantastic firm.I rehired them to come do more work in the middle of winter to make a new room and do other various projects. I had a brand new rail put in that was recommended by the boss Josh to go get this excellent stair company. They put it together fast, it looks fantastic. They created an entire that was existing for me that was an outside half porch. They did an excellent professional job on creating my new TV room. Its warm, cozy and added extra space on the house. His workers were extremely professional and kind. They really know what they are doing in terms of woodwork, stairs, painting, and more. Had a flood in my house the week before Thanksgiving. It started in my attic, damaged the ceilings and walls on my second floor, and then damaged my kitchen and hallways on the main floor. Josh and his team jumped in quickly on restoration activities and then transitioned to the necessary renovations to make my house whole again. I was stressed in general because of the upcoming Holidays; the flood - and the damage it caused - exacerbated that stress! Josh, and his team, tuned into my stress right away - they were caring. compassionate, and professional! They responded to my concerns and even anticipated potential problems before they actually became problems. Josh and the entire team were wonderful. We had a flooding/sewage disaster in the basement and Hands On Restoration helped both with the cleaning and complete refinishing of the basement. We were thrilled with not only the results, but the process. Every single person on the team was kind, friendly, and great at what they did. When we had questions about certain job scope items and costs, Josh was always willing to discuss things at length. He never made us feel gaslit or like we were being unreasonable for having additional requests or questions. Hands On Restoration came to our rescue when our plumbing on the second floor failed and flowed through first floor dining room, down to the basement. Josh, John and their team members came out right away to assess the situation and start the restoration process. Communication with them and Nicole in the office was easy- they were always quick with responses, guidance and recommendations. Jorge and all of the team members who entered our house were completely professional, respectful, on time and did incredible quality work rebuilding our walls and ceiling, mitigating our asbestos, laying new flooring and painting. They even came out immediately when we panicked thinking we saw a water spot. We were so happy to be wrong! Truly, our house has never looked better. I hope we never have another flood again of course, but I do know that we would immediately contact Hands On Restoration again if an issue arose. I had 2nd water damage in 2 years where my unit has been declared total loss. So I had to work with multiple contractors over 2 years and one thing I learned was that dealing with GCs are not smooth. So when lemonde recommended hands on restoration , I started working with Josh with tiny bit of skepticism. But from the time we first met and till the project is completed , to my surprise, Josh was very responsive. I just have to text him once and josh will follow up within few hours (max).Few things that stood out about josh1 - All conversation were professional2 - During first walk though, he pointed out all secondary damages3 - Scope of work was pretty clear and all the work were done4 - All my belongings in the unit were covered and the place was left clean everyday5 - If he provides a time, his workers shows up on time !I highly recommend Josh for any reconstruction jobService: Flood restoration

Josh and his team were great! The high level of work done in my home was exemplary and outstanding. I would definitely use them again for any of my home repair needs. Just had Hands on Restoration repair the water damages in my basement due to a broken pipe.An awesome job done by Josh’s Team. From day 1, he guided me thru the insurance process and all the while assuring me of a timely completion. His crew was very professional, crafted and extremely neat . They carted away all the debris and left our basement impeccably clean. The aggravation was well worth , once my basement project was complete. Josh was extremely thorough, reliable, EXPERIENCED, and FAIR in his project completely gutting my bathroom, kitchen, and closets. I interviewed several contractors and could not find a better on for my remodel. He was also flexible with my co-ops strict rules and helped me with the approval process. I don't expect to need any remodeling again after this but I'm sure to contact him if I do!

I contacted Hands On because asbestos was found on a few pipes in my basement. They were responsive to my call and had someone here in a few days to remove it properly. I highly recommend this business. Josh was a true professional when I spoke with him, and he took care of my situation quickly. Sam removed the asbestos and was a pleasure to have working in my home. This is a wonderful company to hire!

I would like to start off by say HANDS ON RESTORATION is the company to go with when doing repairs! The workers are professional, friendly and work efficiently. The site manager Claudio was amazing!! With the debris left behind in my attic from the roof change, he made sure to dust and vacuumed before he left. To some that may seem little but to me that was a WOW factor. Not only that, but the cleanup out side was impeccable! The owner Josh treats his employees with respect and he does not make you feel like a customer more like a friend. From the second I spoke to Matt I knew we were in good hands. Our tenant called us at 10:30pm and informed us of water damage in our rental home. It’s 45 min away from our home, and my husband had just tested positive for Covid so I knew I couldn’t leave my kids to go see the damage. After speaking with Matt I knew I didn’t have to worry about anything. That very night he went out and started pumping out the water, went back the next morning to check on it just to see water still filling up. He then went to get a better pump just to make sure the water wouldn’t come back until a plumber got there. His communication with me was amazing, constantly keeping me updated. I had a leak in my roof with water damage and Alton and Leroy came in from Hands On Restoration and they accessed the situation, made sure the roof was fixed properly, and fixed the damage and painted like it never happened!!!
