Perry roofing is a local contractor in my area. They have done several roofs for me and my family. They are trustworthy, reliable and competent. Most recently, they replaced a metal roof for me on a rental home in the historic area. I requested in keeping with the style and age of the home, a black metal rolled and crimped roof. All materials were on hand when they started and they were able to finish in about five working days. The site area was cleaned when completed. We used Perry Roofing at my mom's house as she needed her roofs replaced after a hail storm in early April. He came and gave estimate and last Friday his crew showed up and started tearing off old roofs and replaced with new roofs. They were very professional and when they left around 4 all debris had been picked up and hauled away. You would not have known they were there at all. I found out that Perry installed our roof (a few years before we bought our house) so I really wanted their opinion after the hail storm because they would know whether the condition had changed and if they recommended making repairs. I was honestly nervous to call after looking at the reviews, in which they called Mr. Perry a "red neck," said he never called back, and that he charged for something and conducted the repairs before getting the ok to do the work. So honestly, I didn't expect much and doubted I would hear from him. I could not have been more wrong. Not only did he call me back the same day I called him, but he had already stopped by to look at our roof (THE SAME DAY I CALLED!). He needed a different ladder to go up to the higher part of the roof and to look at something from inside and he came by again the very next day. He has always been polite, friendly, responsive, honest and completely up front with us. Also, I had 2 other roofers (one storm chaser from out of town and the other local) look at our roof for 2nd opinions/estimates in case our insurance company required them and they were complimentary about how our roof was installed. They said he did a great job. So, don't let these online reviews affect whether you call him because he has been awesome to deal with and the most responsive person we've had out. I also heard from someone in the construction industry that he is very well respected and that he does excellent work. He stays booked out for months at a time but that is because he does amazing work. I had Perry Roofing to do some repairs to my roof last year. After a hard rain I still noticed a small leak spot in the ceiling so I called them back. Perry came back the very next day with his crew to address and fix the problem. I just recently had a small leak in another room. This not related to the first leak. I called Perry. Left a message asking him if he could stop by to repair it. The next morning he was here. He asked me what was the problem. I told him. He checked the roof out and repaired the spot where the leak was coming from plus another spot that he noticed while on the the roof. When I asked him for the bill he said "Im not going to charge you anything for that." I was surprise because some repaimen would charge just to come out. Thank you Perry.
