I contacted Charlie and his company in September of 2023 as I was given his name as a referral from someone that was in the process of getting a dock worked on. Charlie was very responsive and timely in every aspect of the project. When first meeting with Charlie he told me that my dock would be completed around mid May 2024 as he was booked out several months. After signing the contract, Charlie was very communicative while I waited for construction to begin. In Jan of 2024 I received a call from Charlie saying that they would be able to start sooner then expected. Charlie and I met at the site, went over all the plans and shore stabilization started immediately. Everyone that worked on the property in construction of the dock did an amazing job and were extremely professional. My dock was completed in beginning of March, more than 2 months sooner than promised. The workmanship, the quality, the professionalism from everyone in the organization has been superb!!Thank you Charlie and thank you to all your staff and your entire company for making this easy for me. Thank you for building me a fantastic looking and well built dock that my family and I will be able to enjoy for years to come.

We enjoyed working with Marine Construction for our stationary dock. They were very knowledgeable in the process of permitting, building the dock, and passing inspection. Charlie worked with us to customize the dock to our needs and preparing the property. Brent fixed our jetski ports to the dock and provided the finishing touches. It was a complete turnkey operation. Very satisfied!

Marine Construction recently finished replacing our rotted wooden seawall with a corrugated vinyl system. We chose vinyl because today's pressure treated wood doesn't have the longevity as that of yesteryear. Instead of taking the easy approach, Marine Construction completely removed the old wall and anchors. The new wall, which uses interlocking pieces, was installed along with new anchors. Additional rock was brought in for both the earth and water side and topsoil added to the top of the wall. It was then seeded and straw spread. The workmanship was first rate, the men easy to work with, and the end result exceeded our expectations. In addition, who can argue with a 50 year material warranty.

When I met Charlie for the first time I thought he looked much to young to know very much about the work skills and services his company offers. It only takes a very few moments to learn Charlie has the skills to operate Marine Construction Inc and to provide excellent customer service..He has done several projects for me including installing riprapalong my lake property., correcting some serious flooding problems, repairing my boat lift and repairing some leaking pontoons.Everything was performed in a timely manner and all work completed with great workmanship.I am very impressed with this young man and will succeedin every endeavor he undertakes.Tom Dixon

Marine Construction, LLC is an excellent company to work with. They built our seawall, temporary driveway, and did the excavation of our lot to build our new home. Charlie and his crew worked seamlessly with our general contractor. Addie was always quick to respond to my questions, The guys on site were professional and approachable the day we just showed up. We live in NJ and had no worries because Charlie kept us up to date with what was happening on site thru texts, emails, and photos (and a great video upon completion). He did his best to keep our costs down even with the hiccup of the giant gully and need to bring in A LOT of dirt. The wall is beautiful, the site pristine, and we look forward to working with Marine Construction in the future to build our dock!Services: Erosion control construction, Masonry installation

Very professional job on shoreline restoration for us on Hickory Lake. Made an eyesore look great. Dead and soon to be dead and dangerous trees removed. Once the bureaucracy of permits finally achieved the Army of Marine Construction attacked the job and was completed in short order. Tony and Alex did fantastic work on my new covered boat slip and boat lift (Floatair) on Lake Hickory's main channel. I always felt comfortable with their recommendations on boat slip design and safety features. All staff very professional and experienced. Tony was recommended by our realtor and boat dealer when we moved here this year because of the high quality of the company's docks and slips. Although the building queue is rather long it was definitely worth the wait.

Tony Gaines built our boat dock two and a half years ago and did an amazing job. I saw a review from someone who said that Mr. Gaines never got back to him . He also said a neighbor told him that Mr. Gaines took money and didn't do the work. In my experience...we were only asked for money when the pilings were driven into the lake bed. We signed a contract saying we would pay 50% when that was completed, 25% when the roof went on and 25% upon completion. I asked several people who lived on the lake for referrals. I was told hands down that Marine Construction of Hickory, Inc. (not to be confused with Marine Construction/Westwind) was by far the best dock builder on Lake Hickory. We chose Marine Construction based on these referrals and we were not disappointed. Our dock is beautiful. We could not have asked for anything better. Called multiple times. Never get a call back. Multiple calls yielded a mailbox that was full and not accepting new voice mails. I did speak with them on 3 separate occasions and was told they would take a look at my dock in need of repair/replacement. Again..., never got a call back. Talked to a neighbor who suggested I use someone else as MCoH had taken money from another neighbor and no work had begun in a reasonable amount of time. MCoH proved to be a waste of my time. Thankfully, not a waste of money.
