This is a mixed review because we had 2 different experiences with Tidds. Five years ago, they replaced our entire roof (shingles) without a hitch. Five-star work for sure. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. We discovered a leak and called Tidds for repair. After a coupe weeks of bad weather and other delays, they came out to fix the leak. In this case, they had to rip out the old flashing. After they were finished, I had concerns about some of the work—the flashing wasn't uniform or strait in places—and expressed my concerns, which were ultimately dismissed in the rudest of terms (I hadn't paid him yet and he threatened to come rip all of the flashing out and accused me of playing games). Wow. I immediately paid his invoice and told him to take care. Then I hired another roofer to come behind him to fix the areas he wouldn't. I'm not without my faults as well. I can be persnickety about some things, but not to the point of deserving the response Tidds handed me. In hindsight, I would have recommended the old Tides in a heartbeat, but not the new Tidds...

They came over right away and gave us a thorough but most importantly an HONEST assessment of our roof. I would highly recommend Tidds Roofing to anyone looking for a quality company that prides themselves in customer service and getting things right. Our project was not always the smoothest, but Paola and Jeremy made sure that everything along the way was communicated effectively and made right before it was signed off. The initial quote was fair relative to all of the others we received; not the lowest and not the highest. What made the difference was Paola and the attention she paid to our needs and timeline as we closed on a new house.The crew showed up and took two days to complete the architectural shingles across the whole house. They came back to finish up the metal roof a few weeks later and were receptive to change orders that we initiated after seeing the project come together. As a testament to Tidds' customer service (we were not happy with the fit/finish of the initial metal roof install), they came out multiple times to discuss options and ultimately refinished the whole roof to our satisfaction. You absolutely cannot beat the care and time that Tidds will commit to your project. They genuinely want you to be happy and they recognize it is a considerable financial investment. I had a small leak that showed during the latest windstorms. I called Tidds. lt took a couple of days for someone to come, but Drake looked at it, got up on the roof, went into the attic, made an assessment and gave me a quote on the spot. His recommendation was to do some recaulking of the roof vents. The price was about 1/2 that of another quote that I got, and... he did the maintenance right away! Great job!

Tidds Roofing is the BEST roofing company in the greater charlotte area. I had a very time sensitive issue with some leaks in my roof due to solar panels, and not only did they repair and replace my roof in a timely manner, but they helped me find a solar panel company to come repair my solar panels as well as my old company is no longer in Charlotte.I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who needs anything done to their roof. I was referred to Tidds Roofing after we experienced hail and wind damage to our roof.Our insurance company sent an adjuster out to assess the damage, however their repair estimate was unbelievably low and unrealistic.
