I live in the Seattle area and recently purchased a house in Jacksonville NC. I was in search of a reasonable painter to paint the entire inside of the house in preparation to getting the house rented. After searching Google and getting a few estimates I chose to go with Carters Coastal. Ricky met with my property manager to work out the color scheme. I paid half up front and within a few days all the materials arrived. This was a couple days later than agreed to, but Ricky had a few loose ends to wrap up before starting on my house.Ricky and his team got started and my property manager informed me they were doing a great job. I sopke with Ricky about removal and installation of carpet in the 3 bedrooms and again his pricing was reasonable so I used Carters Coastal for the carpet as well.All in all, with the feedback I got from my property manager and the with photos I was sent, Ricky and his team at Carters Coastal did a grest job with both interior painting and carpet.Living on the opposite side of the United States and not being able to be there to talk with people and check on progress myself, I was a bit uneasy with the whole process. However, I am definitely happy with the work Carters Coastal did and I will definitely trust in them for future maintenance.These are good people.Services: Install flooring, Paint indoors, Drywall painting, Door painting, Interior painting, Drywall repair

We paid this company last year (September 2021) half-down to build a porch on our house. They essentially took the money and ran. Never started the project. They gave us multiple start dates, then excuses why they could not start, until we no longer could wait for them to start the project (April 2022) due to life circumstances and the project not even being started by the time we NEEDED it completed (this is about 7-8 months after paying them too and no start date in sight) so we asked for the money back. They said that would be no problem paying us back… but still have yet to pay us back. They keep telling us they will but excuse after excuse… have yet to give us our money back. We took them to court and won our court case against them and they still have yet to give us our money back! We are very honest, understanding people that have been taken advantage of. Beware of doing business with this company/ giving them money up front. We did not want it to come to this, having to leave a negative review, but at this point we really just don’t want the same thing to happen to anyone else!

I've used this company multiple times for things from small, simple repairs that no one would take the time to come do for my clients (except CCPM) to entire home renovations for investor clients! It also matters a lot to me that I trust everyone at this company beyond their scope of construction work - I recommend them to all of my clients when they need help with something!

We hired RIcky and Dehia (blindly) after Hurricane Florence demolished a house we own. They were super reasonably priced, prompt to respond to our needs and FANTASTIC to work with. They had to essentially rebuild the house from studs and created a BEAUTIFUL "new" house. Despite some unexpected glitches along the way, they remained professional and kept our interests as priority. I highly recommend them!!

After entering into contract with Carters Coastal Property maintenance (CCPM), and in light of their inability to complete work in a timely fashion, as well as quality of work performed by CCPM. I requested a refund of monies paid up front for work that was to be completed in my home. Ricky Carter 😉 (told you I would tag you ) continually pushed start dates back, only to start the project and then continue to make excuses as to why he was unable yo stay on the job till completion. He worked in my home for a total of 5 days (not even full days at that) and was no where near even having completed 50% of the job. When asked to discuss refunding my deposit I was told by Mr. Carter that he had done 50% of the work and no refund would be given. He had actually done more damage to my home then work. We had to remove and repair all self leveling he had applied as well as the subfloor in order to fix our floors properly. I informed CCPM that if we could not reach an agreement that I would be taking them to court. I filed small claims court and paid the fee for the sheriff to serve the owner of CCPM and the only name listed on my contract which is Mrs. Dehia Carter. In court CCPM did not show up. I presented my case with pictures and contracts. The court ruled in my favor in Aug 2022 to have CCPM refund my deposit of almost $7000.00 I received a text from Mr. Carter on Aug 23, 2022 acknowledging the courts ruling. However I have still not received a refund of my deposit from CCPM.HOMEOWNERS BEWARE!Update- still no payment of the judgement has been made! Not one penny nor have they even attempted to make a payment.Update- still no payment as of April 2024Please look these people up and the company they run on the court computers. You’ll see they have been sued and owe lots of people money. This is not an honest company doing honest work!
