We recently had Justin come out and look at our crawlspace because we live near the water and had an on-going issue with mold in our house. We decided to have Coastal Crawlspace encapsulate our crawlspace. Best money we have spent on a project. The men that did the job were very good and got job done quickly. Had them come out, being a local "mom and pop" business, their prices are much lower. Using the same products as other nationwide companies you get the same stuff from them. Took them one day to install everything (1100sqft) and the second day to run electrical to the systems.

Great experience overall! I got several quotes to get the work done in my crawl space. So glad I went with Coastal Crawl Space and Foundation Repair! They are locally owned and operated, not one of these big national chains that puts the pressure on you to make a decision today! This company is TERRIBLE!! I don’t recommend!! Their work is sloppy, not done well at all. I had to hire an electrician from a different company. Because they didn’t install the dehumidifier properly. Causing electrical problems. I hired this company back in Nov of 2023. I showed Justin the problem with the floor sinking down, in the house. I told them water was going under the house as well. Justin goes under the house, tells me there’s rotting wood and they can’t lift the floor. They replaced the wood, which I still never gotten pictures of the finished work. They thought by changing the wood it was going to magically lift the floor up. The floor is sagging so much now that the floor is cracking. I have two small children. Water is going under the house after encapsulation. I told Justin this about the water under the house from the beginning. He never mentioned the importance of a sump pump 🤦🏻‍♀️ he was too busy telling me how he worked for Tarheel for some years. Bragging how he got bought out from the company 🤦🏻‍♀️ like I cared 😩 And that Tarheel don’t need a permit to do work for the house. They get permits so when people can’t pay their loans off, Tarheel can put liens on their house!! I called the owner, Andy several times. Never shows up like he says he’s going to. He sends other employees that have seen the issues but don’t fix the problems. The water goes in the crawlspace and sits in the liner. making my wooden floors bubble and lift. David shows up almost 3 weeks ago, making it a landscaping problem, which is not. And making all these excuses. Almost like they’re expecting the dehumidifier is going to pump GALLONS of water out of the crawl space. I called April dehumidifier company i spoke to a technician. I explained what this company is doing. All he could say is you need to get the water out. And I’m sorry this is happening to you. Now, I have to hire ANOTHER company to fix coastal crawlspace mess!! Which is isnt fair!! I thought I was hiring a company who knew what they were doing, professionals. They don’t communicate, they’re unprofessional, don't bother to do the right thing, they’re not honest people. Legit where I stand they’re scammers!! Do not hire them!! Hire another company save yourselves from this nightmare that I’m living in!! Im not paying a dime!! I’m suing for damages!!

Justin came out & gave us an estimate on crawl space encapsulation. The price was more than I was expecting, but it was well worth it. Eddie came out with his crew & transformed our crawl space from a hot mess to a clean, better insulated, good looking, & DRY crawl space. It took Eddie 2 days & everything was taken care of. Very happy with their service! Got one other estimate before them, & for the price, we got the better value from Coastal crawl space & foundation repair. Yes, it is an expensive investment at first, BUT IT IS WORTH IT!! Lower electric bill, better smellling house, & not worried about wood rotting out. Do it!

Prior to reaching out to Coastal Crawl Space I called every craw space company in the area and studied their methods and pricing and Coastal Crawl Space & Foundation Repair turned out to be the best. They use proper techniques, high quality materials and I haven't felt pushed towards unnecessarily overpriced features, so not only they provide best quality work but their pricing is competitive.Andy and Justin are hones and to the point. I initially assumed that I need expensive subfloor replacement but they assured me that encapsulation and dehumidification must be done first and there's no way around it which I found to be true. They examined the floor 2 months after encapsulation and guess what - turned out no subfloor replacement needed - all wood dried out and in good shape!And I want to give SPECIAL THANKS to SHAWN, the electrician. He helped me to install and troubleshoot my custom remote humidity monitoring equipment in the encapsulated crawl space. Shawn treated my custom setup as his own. He went above and beyond, made many suggestions and multiple visits to adjust things until I was satisfied.I highly recommend Coastal Crawl Space & Foundation and they are absolutely the best in the area!

Crawl space was damp ground, insulation kept falling down, and plastic on the ground had shifted leaving bare ground visible - hated having to go under the house to change water filter yearly. I have severe allergies to both mold and mildew - while we didn't have mold growth yet on the wood under the house it was going to be growing in due time. We did have several cold spots on the floors inside of the house from where the insulation no longer existed. Andy and his guys came in gave me a great quote, answered all my questions including explaining why and quickly remediated all of my issues, adding in a dehumidifier and sump pump for long term hands off management - no more having to remember to open or close vents or crawling under to replace fallen insulation (between moisture and USMC ranges it liked to fall). Cold spots on the floor have disappeared (much to the dogs disappointment) and slight damp ground smell we would occassionally detect has completely disappeared. I can't say enough good things about the crew that did the work; they were quick, efficient, and respectful/courteous - took them about a day and a half to complete - even worked around my schedule when needed. I was left with a pristine crawl space that I have no problem accessing when I need. Looks better than it did when it was new construction.

I'm so glad we called for a free estimate! Justin was very professional and explained what needed to be done in detail. We decided to go ahead and take care of it all at once and are so pleased! Eddie and his crew worked very hard in 90 degree heat, installed steel beams and Jack's to solve our foundation issue, completed the total encapsulation with dehumidifier and sump pump, even installed a light underneath so we could see! They answered any and all questions we had at anytime. Cleaned up all their debri before leaving as well. I cannot say enough about this company. We had to put off the projects due to issues with the closing of our other home and Andy was more than accommodating. I would give Coastal Crawl Space 6 stars if I could! From making my initial appointment to having the installers complete the job, every interaction with them was flawless.I have severe allergies and was becoming more sick over time. After inspecting my crawl space area they found not only black mold and standing water but the insulation was coming apart and falling everywhere!I was told that the mold could be sprayed and a dehumidifier would dry everything out.I was able to get an appointment that worked with my schedule and the installation team was top notch! I contacted Coastal Crawl Space because we had some issues with our subfloor. Robin came out and did a thorough inspection of our crawl space and was able to isolate the problem. Although the remedy was outside of their scope of work, Robin recommended another vendor who could make the repairs. I would definitely recommend Coastal Crawl Space to anyone with foundation or crawl space needs.

They showed up at 11 am the first day and were gone by 2:30. Second day start time 11 am left/thrown off site 1:30. Then they showed up on Friday, unannounced and spoke with my wife not me with whom the contract is with and started to finish job. Finally finished today (following Tuesday) but still not correct. Horrible communication between them and me. Very rude!! Workmanship is horrible!! Definitely not worth 18K!! Not good listening skills. They don't do what they promised and they don't call me at all. Very poor communication skills. Would not recommend this company to anyone. Beware!!
