I originally gave SLB only 1 star because of delays that meant we waited 6 months for our porch to be finished. In the end the employees were so friendly, professional and hardworking. I decided to amend my review. Communication while we were waiting was poor. I’ve learned that many times things go sideways for a while but in the end the porch is beautiful and God willing, we will enjoy it for many years to come.

SLB enclosed my covered patio. The process was very smooth, from the company dealing with the HOA to completion. Mike completed the project in one day, as promised, in a professional and friendly manner, in July. Today Doug completed the follow up inspection, again in a friendly and professional manner. I'm very pleased with all aspects of this project, including the pricing. I highly recommend SLB, as do the dogs, per the photos.

SLB just finished our screened in back porch. Updating with new pics.Southern Leisure is one of the hidden gems in eastern NC when it comes to outdoor leisure building. They’re a one stop shop for everything outdoor like pergolas, patio covers, screen in rooms and much more. I had a patio cover built by them and already planning to screen in the patio cover. Recently had a pergola installed by Southern Leisure. This is a powder coated heavy aluminum structure. It is both practical and aesthetically attractive, not to mention maintenance free. Prior to this they designed & built our screen porch. From the knowledgeable sales person, Greg to our office contact Michelle and expert installer Michael we are extremely satisfied and highly recommend them.

Southern Leisure was absolutely incredible. I have wanted a 4 seasons room for a long time, and moving to North Carolina I was able to. The staff was nothing short of amazing, easy to contact, very responsive and honest and upfront. I had 0 issues with this company and I will 100% come up with more projects so I can become a repeat customer.Do your homework on whatever company you want, if you choose anyone but Southern Leisure, you’re making a mistake.

We Love It! Adam came out on a Friday to give a quote, we signed the contract on that Monday and given an estimate of completion of 60-90 days, and by Friday of the same week we were called to install. So it took approximately a week for our patio to get screened in. They completed it that day and we had dinner that night w/o getting ate up by bugs. The installers were very courteous too. *The only problem I had is that I had to go back up there to get a copy of my receipt. This is only minor and does not take away from the great quality of product and work we received. Lastly, they worked directly with our HOA so no fuss, no foul.

Southern Leisure Builders,I'm about 8-9 months late for this review but better late then never. Unlike my review, Southern Leisure Builders accomplished my job about 3 months earlier then quoted, which made me and my wife happy. The work was started and finished in one day. Workers arrived on time and kept me aware of the progress. Once finished, the next day an employee came and checked the work. During his visit he asked if I had any questions or concerns with the work, which I didn't. Everyone I have spoken to at Southern Leisure has been very professional and helpful. I will definitely use Southern Leisure Builders for future projects.

My wife and I searched for builders and didn't feel comfortable selecting any that we found until we located Southern Leisure Builders on the internet. From my very first call I was extremely impressed with Kim, the receptionist, who answered the phone professionally and was able to answer all of my questions concerning the company and about how a typical construction job is handled. It was the way she handled that call that immediately made me know that this was the company that I wanted to build our sunroom. I asked Kim to schedule a salesman to come out and meet with us. I wondered if the rest of the employees and contractors would speak so highly of Southern Leisure Builders and without exception, they all were as knowledgeable, professional, and as proud of the work they do, as Kim was. There was no sales pressure at all from Gary, the salesman. He listened to our needs, worked with us on the design, and had plenty of photos of other completed jobs that we could use to help decide exactly what we wanted. Once the work began, I was amazed by the craftsmanship and work ethic of the installer and electrician. I had some questions during the process. Each time I called the Southern Leisure Builders office and reached either Taylor or Kim, they were so professional and made sure that I got my answer from the right person before I hung up. Overall, our experience with Southern Leisure Builders was everything, and more, than we had hoped for when selecting a builder. I could go on but I'll just say that I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a good and honest builder with a great team who delivers top quality work, with total customer satisfaction in mind.

First, I think it’s important to advise that I don’t often leave a review. I guess I just haven’t been impressed enough by a job to feel motivated to do so.That said, I just had a screened in porch installed by Southern Leisure and I cannot say enough about how happy my wife and I are with the job they did. The construction was inspected by NHC a few times during the build and there was never an issue.Every step of the way was without incident, and that’s saying a lot! Paul, Gary, Danny et.al. were professional, neat, focused, dedicated and true craftsman.When they finished the job site was clean. There was one very minor issue that may or may not have been related to the build, but Southern Liesure responded within days of the being notified and quickly resolved the problem.I think there customer service is equal to the quality of their craftsmanship!

We worked with Paul at Southern Leisure Builders to design and build our screen room onto our home. Paul and all of the staff at Southern Leisure Builders were great. They were always timely in answering any of our questions and often called us to give us a status update. Like all good quality contractors in the Jacksonville area, they stay backed up on jobs. It did take 3-4 months from the time we signed a contract to the job being completed. However, once they started work it was done quickly. We love our new screened in porch and couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with to get it done.

Highly recommend! We hired them to screen in our patio April 2021, and 2 years later, it's still looking great! They were very fast and even put in a doggie door, which gets constant use. A month or so ago, a gust of wind busted the hinge to the door and they provided new parts free of charge. Excellent customer service and really nice people. Thank you!

We contracted with this company last year to put a roof on and screen in an existing deck. The rep that came out was very nice and professional. We signed a contract and gave them a deposit. Another worker came out earlier this year to make sure measurements the rep was correct. We already had our township approval. A couple months ago a woman called just to check in, but was unable to give us any idea when they can start. Since then when my husband calls he is told someone will get back to him, but that hasn't happened.

The quality of the work (all performed bny subcontractors) was highy satisfactory. I feel we'll enjoy our screened porch for many years to come. Contact with Southern L B staff and subs was very easy and pleasant. The only issue is ongoing status of project information. They sometimes but not always are slow to get back you. My advice would be to initiate contact when you need to find out scheduling information, etc... . That having been said I would recpommend their quality work and would hire them again.

Was insearch of a Pergola Cover. Spoke with Ms. Michelle and she was very pleasant and pointed me in the alternative direction after hearing my "big idea" for my outdoor living space. I was thinking they installed awnings or sun sails. After learning they don't she gave me different options and recommendations to help me and my ideas. I'll keep them in mind when it's time for window replacement and possible additions. Thank you for your time and assistance.

We couldn’t be more pleased with our new porch enclosure and with every aspect of our time receiving service from this company. Starting from the moment I made the first call of inquiry, the attention and care we received was bar none the best. We had an immediate response to our request and a scheduled appointment that WAS KEPT! (We’ve found this to be rare these days) Then we met Greg Garwood. We were very impressed with him. He was such a gentleman and obviously very knowledgeable about the product and what the company could do to meet our needs. I felt he understood what we wanted and helped us understand the quality of the product we were going to receive, and he did not disappoint. As we waited for an official start date, the company kept in constant touch with us. We never felt forgotten and we never had to hunt anyone down to get an answer. Once the date was set the installation went very smoothly. The builder who arrived never stopped working once he started. He worked carefully and efficiently and really did a beautiful job. When we saw the finished product we understood what Greg had told us about the quality of the work and the product. Extremely impressed does not begin to cover how pleased we were with this installation. We wish all companies and craftsmen would be more like southern leisure builders. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Every time we sit on our new enclosed porch and sip a cool glass of sweet tea, we’ll think of you all and smile. 😉
