Bo Bailey with Carolina Foundation Solutions came out to my house to look at a foundation issue that had been noted on a structural engineer’s report from years ago. I had already been told to expect a bill in the thousands to complete the work. To my surprise, after looking at the area in question, Bo said he didn’t think I needed the work. If the home hadn’t moved in over 4 years (as compared to the photos from the original engineer’s report) then it’s not an active foundation issue, and thus nothing to fix. Today, I had a structural engineer look at the area and he agreed that there was no need to make a repair.I really appreciate that Bo was such an honest person and didn’t make me complete work that really didn’t need to be done (especially with a type of project that I would have no way of knowing otherwise). He could have easily signed me up for a lucrative job for his company and instead took the high road and saved me thousands. If I ever need foundation repairs in the future I will definitely know who to hire.

Fist off, I don't normally write reviews unless i feel someone truly deserves it. These guys do. I cannot recommend Carolina Foundation Solutions enough!! If you have ANY foundation or concrete concerns at your home, do yourself a favor and call them for an estimate, especially if you're had another company give you an estimate you thought was high.We had several cracks on the brick and mortar on the exterior of the home, all of which had been there for 20+ years and weren't growing, as well as some uneven and cracking concrete, leaning retaining walls, etc.. Had another company come out ( wont say who, but their name rhymes with try bro). They said the foundation was severely damaged and needed up to 18 helicon piers installed as well as lots of slab re-leveling and crawlspace encapsulation. Total estimate=$45,000.In a panic and wanting a second opinion, I called Carolina Foundation Solutions. Bo came out immediately and after showing all the issues and inspecting all the trouble areas, he told me there he wouldn't recommend any repairs whatsoever. He explained that since the issues had remained for over 20 years and weren't getting any worse, there wasn't any immediate need to fix anything. All he did recommend was having a mason come out and re-point all the cracks and fix the uneven slabs and other issues. He even called someone he recommended and set up a time for them to come out.Bo could of sold us almost anything he would of liked to had he wanted, but he was honest and didn't exploit our fears to make a sale. He was polite, honest and extremely informative, not to mention he saved us almost 50k.It;s hard to know what contractors or service companies to trust these days, and its extremely comforting to know theres still companies like this one, and people like Bo out there that are wanting to truly help you rather than take advantage of you.If you need anything foundation related taken care of, rest easy knowing this is an honest, trustworthy, and capable company to work with. You wont be sold something you don't need. And if you don't need anything, that's exactly what they'll tell you.Thanks again Bo!
