If you are looking for a professional company to get work done, this is the one. It’s so awful dealing with contractors that you have to chase down for every step of the process. Mr Handyman of Fort Mill is the exact opposite. From the first phone call, they were polite, thorough, and set expectations for how things would progress. Every expectation set was met and the contractor sent to complete my job was friendly, knowledgeable, and did quality work. After he left, they followed up to make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. Couldn’t ask for anything more! Highly recommended!! We will definitely be using them again.

Dave was awesome, did an amazing job and was prompt and reliable. He also worked hard to find the exact shade of stain, checking with multiple stores. Would definitely use again for other projects!

I had 2 big holes in my ceiling. Trying to find someone to do the drywall repair was so difficult. Received 4 quotes over 7 weeks (and set up appointments for each of them to come and fix them). No one followed through.Finally, I reached out to Mr Handman. Within 24 hours, Shawn C came out and had both holes fixed. He came out the next day to prime and paint. Great great guy - he did top notch work and was super friendly. He even accommodated my 2 year old son’s nap time by not using power tools. Cannot say great enough things about my experience right Shawn and Mr. Handyman.10/10 experience. 100% would use again (actually have them quoting another job for me already)

We had a bad smell coming from our stove exhaust fan/vent. We bought the house from a previous owner. We bought new exhaust filters but that didn’t work. Anthony from Mr Handyman quickly determined that the smell wasn’t coming from the vent but the entire exhaust unit above the stove. He disassembled the entire unit to clean it and discovers just how coated it was in old grease and grim and suggested it would be in our long term best interests tobuy a new unit rather than attempt a partial fix of cleaning it which would never have done it justice. He could have spent countless hours cleaning and reinstalling it but knew that wasn’t a permanent fix. We have now ordered a new unit and scheduled him to install it when it arrives. He was pleasant, funny, a diligent worker and we so appreciate his honesty and integrity. We have found the Mr. Handyman organization a pleasure to work with and highly recommend them. They are a nationwide organization with local owners and repair personnel serving the local community. And you’d be damn lucky to draw Anthony for your job task.

Had some loose siding I needed fixed along with some other minor issues. While my technician Shawn Cowan arrived outside the designated time frame as another job he was on ran a bit longer than expected, he was in constant communication.Things happen, and he did all anyone could do in that situation. Upon his arrival Shawn immediately assessed all the issues I had with care and efficiency and quickly got to work. You can really tell he cares about what he’s doing. I had a set amount of money I did not want to exceed and he did an excellent job letting me know where we were price wise throughout. He went above and beyond by offering DIY solutions for anything that would’ve taken me over my stated price range. Overall great experience and you would be very lucky to have Shawn assigned for any home improvements you may need. 10/10 would recommend. Mr. Handyman would be wise to hire more people like him.

The company provides various of services related to home repair, maintenance and other types of things. They are very fast and flexible. I appreciate it.My only concern is that there’s a lack of transparency in pricing. I received a reasonable quote (350-400) from the office (the job was to fix some molding on the 2nd floor of the exterior house). But the staff asked for a higher price. When I told him this is not aligned with the quote I received, he called the office back and agreed that I can pay $400 (higher end). In the end, I paid for $520 ish including material but he never showed me the receipt but told me I had to pay extra as they got the material for me. The material was not worth $120 for sure.Last but not least, since it involved a higher ladder, I had to pay $70 for an additional person just to hold the ladder.Overall I think the company is organized and doing a good job but I also sensed that they are trying to maximize their opportunity to make money from the customers.

They responded within a day of my text request for a quote. Matt came out at the specified time and walked through my house as I explained what I needed done. He made a few suggestions (which saved him time and me money), and got right to work. Everything was completed to my satisfaction. I felt it was a little pricey, but one repair needed to be done at the top of a very tall ladder so I wanted to be sure they had all the insurance needed. I would definitely use them again. Mr. Handyman was the most expensive contractor who quoted me on sorting out an exterior wood rot problem. Despite that, their professionalism and expertise won me over.I couldn’t have made a better decision.The team came out and replaced some siding (amongst other things) for me. The boards didn’t match well. Long story short, I simply mentioned that I wasn’t thrilled with the choice in materials but I went ahead and paid them for the work as I had authorized the materials they used. They had done a great job otherwise.Dave, the main individual I dealt with, reached out to me the following day to let me know that he spoke with the owners and would be back out to my house, for free, to tear down what had been installed and replace it with siding that matched. He was under no obligation to do this. He even went to five different suppliers to find the right boards.I’ve never even heard of a company behaving with such integrity and going so out of their way to make a customer happy. I will always recommend working with these guys. Thank you, Dave - and everyone at Mr. Handyman. I still can hardly believe y’all did this for me.
