Hobbs Stephens came out last fall to inspect my roof with the insurance adjuster and made the process easy. He worked with my insurance to get things filed, processed and moving along so I could get the installation done in January. The crew was fantastic and did a wonderful job not just with the roof but the clean-up too. Hobbs came back to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I would definitely work with Hobbs and Citadel again should I move and need a new roof!

David and his team were tremendous during the course of our new roof installation. They were courteous, helpful, friendly, and the quality of their work is fantastic. After the new roof was installed, we had a question about a corner of it that settled a little differently than the rest of the house, and David had a team member out to inspect it right away. Even though it was only a minor cosmetic annoyance, they made the repair at no cost to us. They also helped us work with our own insurance team along the way. Five stars, no doubt!

So very happy to have a new roof.Like many people I had put off dealing with roof issues. Luckily, I chose to work with Nick Capps at Citadel roofing. I had found a few shingles I on the ground and a dreaded what that meant. Nick and team came to take a look and indeed the shingles came from my roof. There were additional signs of hail damage from a previous storm.If you have any concerns about your roof don't hesitate to reach out to them and have them assess the situation. The longer you wait the more potential damage that can occur to your house.Nick was very responsive to messages and shared other locations they had worked on so I could see what roof colors would look like. That was huge helping me figure out what color to choose. He was also very patient and answered all the questions that I had.Nick and team worked well with the insurance company, going on the roof when the adjuster visited and applying for supplements after the roof was completed.The team was very diligent when putting on the roof and they made sure to cover the deck, shrubs, etc. They even moved things out of the way that I forgot to move away from the house which I really appreciated.It is so wonderful to have a new roof and it looks great 😍🤩😍.So grateful for the help and hard work by Citadel replacing my roof.If you decide to reach out to them ask for Nick.

I reached out to David at Citadel to see if he could help me out on short notice. We noticed over a recent weekend that a vent boot on my roof was in bad shape and I knew it would leak water and a lot of rain was forecasted for the following Tuesday. I called David and while his roofers were all busy, he knew I was in a predicament and came out and fixed the issue himself. What an awesome experience from the beginning to the finished project ! Nick was very professional and knowledgeable . He brought over samples and went over our options and out of pocket costs. He contacted our insurance company and handled everything needed for our claim . He was in contact everyday with updates . Back in October of 2022 a mean hail storm battered my home’s roof in Durham.About a month later, I began noticing water stains on my top floor’s ceiling. Being a first time homeowner I had no clue what to do but was overwhelmed knowing it would be costly.After venting to a friend about the situation, he recommended I call citadel, which is owned and operated by his friend Nick Capps. As someone who is extremely picky about who I hire. I researched Citadel and found out they are fairly new, which made me a bit uncomfortable, but as they came highly recommended by a trusted friend, I decided to give them a chance. After all the initial inspection was done for free.My inspection was scheduled with Nick Capps himself. He was very punctual to the appointment, and after speaking with him for only a few minutes he came off like he really knew what he was looking for and talking about. The inspection itself only lasted about 30 minutes but reveled more than just hail damage, as I was shown proof of multiple shingles having blown completely loose as a result of heavy winds. After showing me pictures and explaining how compromised the damaged shingles were, Nick recommended the best plan of action would be to replace the entire roof instead of repairing the few shingles causing a leak. Doing so would save me the trouble of going through the process all over again when some of the other compromised areas begin failing.While I liked the idea of a new roof, my gut sank thinking about how to afford it… especially since I had only purchased the home a year prior and spent a lot on other renovations.Thankfully, Nick pointed out that the damage I had is typically covered by homeowners insurance. He was such a knowledgeable guy and the way he looked out for my best interests made me feel like he was all about customer service. Once he explained how the process worked, and how he’d help facilitate from start to finish, I was sold.After filing a claim with my insurance, an adjuster came out to meet with Nick and I. They went up to the roof together and as they walked around I could hear them discussing the damage. It sounded like Nick was making sure the guy from Travelers didn’t miss a thing!About a week later I received a letter from Travelers stating that they were going to cover the cost of replacing my entire roof, and that I’d only be responsible for paying my deductible.From that point Nick and Citadel, handled everything else, all I had to do was pick a shingle color. They even upgraded my 20 year rated shingles with ones rated for 30 years at no extra cost to me! I was shocked and thrilled at the same time! A new roof is a huge deal, and to go from worrying about affordability to only being worried about a shingle color was a pretty incredible feeling!Citadel kept me in the loop on everything that taking place through the replacement process. I knew exactly when materials were being delivered, when their crew would arrive and work. They even let me know about all the possible issues that could arise, and how they would handle them if such issues were to occur.During the replacement, the crew neatly draped tarps from my roof when ripping off old shingles. The mess was well contained, and after they made sure to clean up every speck of debris and nails that landed in the yard. The entire replacement was competed in just a day.I was very impressed and amazed by how fast everything was completed. I couldn’t be happier and honestly feel different about not wanting to work with a new company. I don’t feel as if anyone could have done a better job or tried harder to make me happy!The materials and labor were both warrantied so my mind was at ease, but with that said, I wanted to wait a few months and see how everything held up before giving an honest review.Now that it’s been close to 5 months, I honestly still couldn’t be happier. Meeting Nick Capps was a relief. He spent a fair amount of time on my roof. We then sat down and he went over the details. I asked many questions since I know very little about this process. It was a pleasure working with Nik Rose and Citadel contracting.There was extensive wind and hail damage to my roof. Citadel worked consistently with me in order to get the repairs of the roof done, which required a total roof replacement. Initially my insurance company approved the replacement of a small amount of shingles instead of the total roof replacement. The process of getting that initial estimate changed to a complete replacement was extensive and went on for several months. During that time I was assigned 3 different insurance agents. Nik provided prompt feedback and advice on how to communicate with the insurance company to get the roofing repair approved. He also sent countless emails, called the insurance agents weekly, and submitted the information requested by the insurance company consistently. When it seemed that we were hitting a brick wall Nik escalated the issue to upper management within my insurance company to push back on those initial estimates. The complete roof replacement was finally approved and I am excited about how good the repairs look. Thank you NIk Rose and Citadel contracting!!
