I recently had a metal roof installed and I went with Metal Works and Improvements. I shopped around to 2 other roofers in the area who specialized in metal roofing. I redid my whole home with a 26gauge burgundy metal roof, and they also removed my old turbine vents and added a ridge vent. Metal Works was able to do this at a better price and better quality product than either of the competitor quotes I got.Also Metal Works was the only company to go into detail on the proper way to integrate the chimney brick into my new roof for proper water runoff. And they went the extra mile by color matching bathroom vents and the like to the roof color.David was extremely friendly and easy to work with. The job finished ahead of schedule, and on budget. His crew was very friendly, professional, and hard working. I couldn't be any happier with the service I received. Thanks!!!

I could not be any happier with my entire experience, I am SO happy I contacted Metal Works.I first contacted a competitor of Metal Works looking for a quote, and I was so discouraged by the price I almost didn't look any further. But I really wanted a metal roof, so I decided to call around to 3 more companies, and ended up getting quotes from 2 of them. I found that my money went so much further at Metal Works. I got a much better quality roof, at a lower price than other companies offered me.Other companies were offering me a 29 gauge, exposed fastener roof, with no ridge-vent, for 10k-15kMetal Works gave me a 26 gauge, hidden fastener roof, with a ridge vent, for just under 9kWith the price and features and the positive feedback here at Angie's List, this was a no brainer. The job started last Thursday and they finished the next day on Friday evening (ahead of schedule). The roof looks FANTASTIC! The gutters were installed the next day and look really sharp with the metal roof.Metal Works went the extra mile by painting the misc vents (for bathroom/kitchen ventilation) to match the roof. They also took care to properly integrate where the chimney meets the roof to avoid any water damage. This is something that none of the other companies even mentioned to me. Also, unlike other companies who only showed me samples of colors, David was able to give me addresses where I could see roof colors in person on an actual house. This really helped us out a lot because we were struggling between 3 different colors.David has been a pleasure to work with the whole way through, and his crew was very friendly, professional, and hard working. They also did a great job of cleaning up when they finished for the day, and very thoroughly cleaning everything when the job was done.

After interviewing several metal-roofing contractors, I chose Metal Works because David Logue made an excellent presentation and the cost of replacing the roof, guttering, and downspouts was very honest and fair. I found David easy to talk to and he answered all of my (some of them dumb!) questions.Donna, at the office, kept me informed at every point, and her turnaround with contract changes was really fast. All my phone calls and emails were answered promptly.The work crews were polite, focussed, cheerful, and they all had a great "get it done" attitude. They were quick about their work and very tidy. My house looks great!I recommend Metal Works unconditionally.

Found them thru a simple GOOGLE search, looking for "Decra" roofing. This is the best contractor we have worked with EVER!!! (30yrs and 11 homes) After 4 bids Lake Norman/Charlotte roofing contractors, we were tired of the appointments and waiting for the "sticker shock" bids for regular asphalt shingles. After emailing my insurance company's birds eye view to Metal Works, I had a quote within a day. His business manager - Donna followed up immediately with color samples of the material via FEDEX. Unbelievable service! From initial contact to cleanup - everyone was very professional, courteous and prompt. And I mean EVERYONE! Very can-do attitude. They had a long commute (3 hours) and were there promptly every day. No surprises...precise workmanship and beautiful stone coated metal roof (Decra), along with the owner's sense of humor made for a great customer experience. Top notch company!
