This review may seem unreal, but I assure you it is true. My wife and I had been planning our renovation for years. We had some bad experiences with contractors previously so we were very skeptic coming into our renovation. That being said, the team at Rodas construction is extremely professional, honest, timely, and the work is very high quality. We were guided through the process by Steve and when construction began, Enrique and his team were diligent and timely. Also, when our inspector came to review the framing they had stated the framing was some of the best craftsmanship they had ever seen. The inspector brought me outside to show me just how well they had set the plane of the wood. You won't find better craftsmanship, professionalism, and honesty in a construction company. I would use them again and recommend them anytime for any project.

Rodas built a Master Bedroom, with Bathroom and walk in closet addition to our home in North Raleigh. Steve helped us plan the addition to flow with the downstairs of our house. He gave us a fair price to do the job. He kept giving the city documents needed to get Building Permit. Enrique is wonderful to work with on the construction of the unit. He is well liked and respected by all of the Sub Contractors. Between different phases of construction we never waited longer than a couple of days. Rodas does not cut any corners. I had some rotten wood on the back side of my house and Enrique insisted on repairing it properly. They sure did get it right. I heard someone in my new crawl space late one day. I went under there after workman left and he had cleaned it spotless and laid thick plastic on the Crawl Floor. I hated the metal track threshold on the French Doors. I asked them to remove it. They custom built me a new one out of solid oak--Picture attached.Besides my dog barking for 4 months it was a smooth build, and a pleasure working with Rodas. All inspections passed quickly. (I never rate anyone 5stars!)We had a mansard roof on a home built in 1973. It needed replacement, then a heavy tree branch dropped and cracked it. Most companies we tried would not touch this roof style. Rodas didn't hesitate. Chris not only gave a reasonable quote on short notice, he showed up within 24 hours to temporarily rubber tarp the holes. The main sections of roof were finished in 2 days. But I wasn't happy with the front, hand-cut work which took two days more. Chris was there within 24 hours to see, and was very upset with the work. He was back next day and redid the problem angles himself. Perfect job! Perfect!I changed the shingles from dull brown to dark charcoal, not quite black shingles, to make the red brick pop - it worked. All the neighbors stopped by complimenting the job! An appraiser said the new roof completely changed the overall look of the house from run-down, dull drab to a smart, sharp-looking classic home. She estimated the roof added more than 4 times what it cost to the home valuation. We decided to sell and retire down towards the coast. All the brokers commented about the great looking roof and how it had attracted their clients eye in the photos. Rodas did an awesome job. Best "investment" I've ever made! I'd use them again in a heartbeat! Thank you Rodas!

Rodas Constructions renewed my roof 2 years ago, and when I noticed an issue with the work done. Rodas stood behind their workmanship and work diligently to resolve the issue fully and satisfactory.While the work was being scheduled and completed, the office personnel made sure every work was scheduled at my convenience while the field manager kept me informed of everything. They really showed me how much they care about their customers and how much they stand behind the warranty they provide.I will recommend this company because their customer service is second to none.

We called Rodas Construction on a Wednesday and received a call back within 15 minutes. We had the pleasure of meeting with Chris on Thursday and was able to get a rough estimate on site. Chris noticed hail damage and took multiple pictures of proof, he then was able to submit a claim with my insurance company by the following morning. I was not available to meet the adjuster but Chris was able and walked the roof with my agent that same day. The adjuster verified the damage and by Friday Chris was able to schedule the roof replacement for Monday morning. Chris explained the option to take out a construction loan via Rodas with Medallion bank. I was able to complete the loan agreement in minutes and within hours it was approved with a 10.99% interest rate. Monday arrives and so does the Rodas crew at 7 am they worked fast and where friendly and accommodating. Chris called with regular updates thru out the day and really the entire process. We had alot of wood rot and the crew was able to repair it all and be done within 12 hours with the house roof and shed roof. Chris explained all the damage and what was done to fix the damage with detail. The painters showed up on Tuesday to fix some existing soffit damage and paint where it was needed per our contract. On Wednesday our new gutters arrived with leaf guards. The whole process was so very easy and if I had a complaint it is that we did not find Rodas Construction and Chris sooner. The roof was done very fast but after 4 years shingles started to shed in all directions. Not to mention all the random nails sticking out everywhere in my attic. Rodas stands behind their work for only two years so, I was told it would be $400 to look at the issue.I’m not a roofer but, if you spend nearly 13k you would think the work would last longer than 4 years. I won’t be spending any more money with Rodas that’s for sure!!I don’t recommend Rodas.

Team did a great job with a repair of our outdoor chimney that was badly damaged due to water leaking behind our stone facade. They worked efficiently and were very attentive to our needs. Co-owner, Enrique, came out several times to talk us through the project scope and check on progress. And he responded quickly to questions and addressed issues attentively to make sure we were 100% happy.

My experience with Rodas Construction exceeded expectations from start to finish. Renovation work is tough and you never know what quality is behind the walls. My project had needed change orders, I found they understood my needs, budget, and timeframe to get me the product desired. FWIW, I am a licensed engineer and have been in construction for over 30 years. I plan to hire them again for future needs.

Huge shoutout to the entire Rodas team! We recently moved up to Cary from SoFla. We bought a house that needed lots of TLC. It also needed to have the deck replaced plus we wanted to add a screened porch. A trusted friend in the industry recommended I give Cole Faulkner from Rodas a call. What a great & knowledgeable guy. He worked along with my wife to design the perfect porch & deck. We started the process & met the owners (Enrique & Steve) - also great people! The entire construction process was fantastic! I recently worked with Steve and Enrique at Rodas construction to have additional support added to level the 2nd floor of my home. This was a huge project and extremely stressful for a new homeowner. I shopped around with several different contractors before settling on Rodas, and Rodas was the right choice!They went above and beyond during the planning stages of this project: this was a complicated undertaking with HVAC, plumbing, and structural considerations. I truly felt as though they advocated for me when planning with the engineers to make sure that I had the best and most cost-effective solution. The team did outstanding work, making sure the job was done quickly, cleanly, and with as minimal disruptions in my day-to-day (this was major work while I lived and worked from home).Enrique and Steve truly made me feel like I was being looked after by family. For any future construction or renovation projects, I'll be sure to reach out to Rodas Construction first.

This is a difficult review for reasons you’ll see in the attached images and has been edited. We’re generally grateful to have the work done which is why we stomached the effort dealing with disgruntled salesman, effort on our part reviewing and pointing out construction issues, and long time around the whole project.That said, the radio silence in addressing noticeable and concerning roofing issue and additional out of pocket cost to fix is pretty concerning.Original:Chris, Javi, and Steve of Rodas Construction have worked their hardest to make our dream of a screened porch a realty over the past 6 months while still being affordable! We look forward to meals outside with mesh screens to keep bugs out and a pleasant, relaxing breeze. Hands down, best investment we could make and certainly one we’re enjoying!

Enrique and his crews did an outstanding job during our renovation of our screened in porch into a 4 season room for our house. They obtained all the necessary permits, took down the previous decking materials, ordered and put in windows, exterior door, outside siding to match our existing siding, added HVAC and electrical to this room, put in new hard wood floors and stained them to match other floors in our house, and also painted new room inside and out. Erique and all of his crews were all the best that you would want to work with you on any project. They were all very helpful, timely, neat. I hired Rodas Construction this summer to do a shingle tear-off with a new Grey metal roof in Wake County. The completed product was great, but I had a large amount of issues along the way. Because many roofing companies do not have a metal crew, my crew came out of Wilmington (Note: roofing companies sub-contract out their work, so the crew who did the installation are not Rodas Construction employees):The Good:The finished product was great. The crew out of Wilmington was professional, timely, hard working, etc... They cleaned up the grounds every day, took care to make sure I was satisfied, and always asked if I had any questions. My father was present during the installation (he owned a roofing company in FL for 35 years), and they took no issues with him reviewing their install. The completed product was great:The Bad:Original deposit (30%) was provided in June 15th to Rodas. I heard nothing in between the first and second deposit provided in August 7th (next 30%). The time is not uncommon as I got speciality metal, but I was left in the dark for 6 weeks without knowing a project schedule, etc...During the sales pitch, I was promised a new exhaust boot with a 50 year warranty! I found out during construction those boots cannot be installed on metal (shingle only) which the Salesman had no clue of.Material was delivered and Construction started September 5th. I paid extra for Stainless steel screws (standard on a metal roof is Zinc Screws), and peel and stick weathershield (thick sticky tar paper) to be placed on the Entire roof. Most roofers install it on valleys and ridges only. Rodas ordered the cheaper tar paper and Zinc screws and tried to slide it past me. I caught them, and made them order the correct material.The salesman never did a formal dimensional takeoff of my roof. 4 days into construction, we were 3 panels short to complete the job (see picture). This was 7 days before the hurricane, and was told by the salesman the roof is dried in, and we'll try to come back before the storm. The owner got involved, and expedited the material to complete the following week.My roof is a striated dark grey metal (striated has waves in the metal). Flat black metal was ordered. A different crew came back the day before the hurricane and installed the flat black metal (on a grey roof) to dry the roof in before the hurricane so my house wouldn't flood during the storm.2 weeks passed, and I did not hear a word from Rodas. I called the salesman with no response. They sent 1 member of the crew to my house from Wilmington without telling me on Saturday morning. I was not notified, I was out of the state, AND the correct material was never delivered. There was no metal to even install. At this point I've had black metal on my roof for 3 weeks.2 more weeks passed: The salesman ordered more metal (flat grey), and was wrong again. 2 more weeks passed and I had the incorrect grey panels sitting in my front yard. Finally, I called the owner and got him involved. I offered to call the supply house and order the correct material personally. He came to my house, got the crew set up, the correct panels ordered, and completed the job. Overall, the roof took 7-1/2 weeks for a job that should have taken 3-4 days total. Tread with caution.. My experience was terrible.

It has been a true pleasure to work with Chris!! He has been utterly professional, prompt and thorough as well as being very polite and respectful. The roof replacement was scheduled and done within a weeks time. The clean up after was wonderful and the roof looks great! But the most impressive part of the whole process was Chris and how he has handled this whole thing including working with our insurance company. @raleigh m, I had the same issue with Rodas a few years back. Just so you know it’s because they installed your shingles with a nail gun. That’s why it only held up for a few years. I have the same roof and the people I used to fix Rodas work said it should be hand nailed in some areas with these roofs. Rodas tried to get me with the $400 to come look too. This company is fast but careless poor quality work.

I recently purchased a home and had Rodas do a roof inspection before the close. Chris was extremely professional and took his time to help explain to me how the replacement and financing process works. He also was able to show evidence the roof had previously been power washed, and ultimately we were able to negotiate a lower purchasing price on the home given the damage to the roof.Sure enough, a couple weeks after moving in there was a big storm which led to water leaking at multiple flashings. When I reached back out to Chris and told him about the leak and that I wanted to proceed with the replacement, he helped work us into the schedule asap and we had a new roof in just over a week. Chris is an upstanding guy who was there to help me anytime I had a question throught the process. It was a stressful time given the leaks, and I really appreciate the help he provided. He's a huge reason I went with Rodas over the other companies I spoke with about replacement.The roof looks great and they were able to complete it in one day. They were ontop of everything. They provided good, quick work and illustrated they are committed to getting it right - they even plan to come back out and adjust a few sections to ensure I am satisfied with the final product.After the roof install, Moses came out two days later to install gutters and downspouts and is a true craftsman, definitely get the 6 inch gutters.The project as a whole went great as communication, quality and timeliness were all ideal. Rodas just completed a roof and chimney repair at my home. Chimney/Roof were leaking rain water into our attic and Cole Faulkner responded to my initial request for an estimate of repair. Cole is a total professional who cares deeply about the quality of work and a perfectionist on top of that. Chris from Rodas Roofing/Construction was a life saver. We had just moved into our home and area 4 months before a wind storm came through around Father's Day. A pine had fallen on our home and caused extensive damage. I was able to get in contact with Chris through a neighbor who had know him. My home owners insurance was less than helpful when I had questions or needed response. Chris was their saving grace. He was responsive, helpful, and didn't leave me feeling unsupported. I had Rodas replaced my entire house roof in Cary. Unfortunately the workers knocked a big hole in my gazebo roof. I requested the comopany to repare or replace teh gazebo before I could pay the cost for roof installation. However, the company manager urge me to pay him in full amount before they repair my gazebo, or they will have a lawyer to sue me. Not a customer friendly company at all!Just gotten a threat from the company manager Steve " are you familiar with a lien? I will put a construction lien lien on your residence and foreclose on your residence if you do not pay me in full by tomorrow 3/20/2019. we are looking to repair anything that was our responsibility but you cann't hold my money for roof."How scary it is !

Initially Contacted Christopher Holland with Rodas Construction for emergency repairs after storm damage to ridge vent on a section of our roof and ultimately selected Rodas Construction to replace entire roof. The job was completed in one day with excellent workmanship, thorough clean up and no hassle follow up to replace damaged/lost gutter guards. Upgraded materials offered that enhanced the appearance of the finished product and warranty options seem reasonably priced while (on paper) also providing confidence that the company as well as the manufacturer will stand behind their product for repairs due to materials or workmanship if needed. Christopher was easy to work with and offered clear explanations of materials and the end-to-end process. Also was very helpful with tips and suggestions regarding color options.
