I know Tarheel may have some mixed reviews, but I'm speaking on my personal experience. I drove up and paid my deposit in person, worked out all the details, and signed the contract. In less than 3 weeks, my building was completed. I had my concrete poured prior to ordering the building, but they gave me the exact dimensions needed for the building I was planning to order. The entire process went flawlessly and I had my building weeks ahead of schedule. Thanks to Tarheel and the building contractors for making this a pleasurable experience!

I met with Frank at Tarheel Metal Structures and put together a building that I wanted. A 24'x26'x10', 2 -10x7 panel doors, upgraded 6 panel walk in door , vertical roof and 40 year sheeting. The price as reasonable so I paid my deposits for the building and concrete. They were busy so it took about 8 weeks to start. They poured my concrete and told me it would be about 30 before they came back to build my building. The concrete needed to cure for 28 to 30 days. They came back in about 35 days and in one day, built my building. I am very impressed with the quality of materials and the construction of my building. Tarheel Metal Structures is a great company to do business with. I think some of these reviews are people who just like to complain. ** I am very happy with my building**

After we lost our garage in a fire, we decided to look at a metal structure…so glad we did! Already had the cement pad, so our garage was up in about 3 weeks. The installers were great, & Kim was great to work with. Cost about 1/3 of a wood built. And it’s huge! Built exactly how we wanted it.

I've had the building a few years now. Building holds up fine, no issues other than one roof panel had a hole in it and was put up on installation... Forcing me to go up there and cover it up. Back then it was priced well too. Inflation and materials most likely changed that now.Tartheel itself: not that impressive. Ordered it, think I out deposit down, and then months of silence. I didn't hear from the guy who was going to call me about the concrete, didn't hear anything about the building install... They easily blew their expected install date and I still hadn't heard from them. I think over a month after they said the building would be installed did I finally get in touch with someone who told me they were behind because of rain (wet year for NC/TN) and that it was ordered and getting ready. A month after that it was installed. I think it was supposed to be instslled in June. I finally had it end of August.Installation crew: great crew. Hard worker, moyivated, polite, and friendly. I can't say anything bad about them. They were the best part of this whole deal if you ask me. We need a lot more people like them installing things!

First off I am in no way affiliated with this co.I almost did not use this company because of a couple reviews.( bad reviews)Well I am glad that I did. Customer service was excellent. Jessica was my sales person and she helped me customize my build.(just moved the studs a little) so she was great. I had my buddy do the concrete and I turned in my paperwork for the 24x 24 last Friday and Jessica called me the following Friday telling me they could do my building this weekend!Well it is Sunday at 2 o'clock and they are done and my building looks awesome! The crew was great! Not one dent! Looks better than expected! Thanks tarheelmetalHot rod time!

Just wanted to write and say that every part of my building process has been excellent. I appreciate it even more considering the mess our country is in right now. I done the entire process over the phone without ever meeting someone face to face. The concrete crew were very friendly and did not cut any corners on the prep or pouring. The men that came to erect the building were over the top with making sure every step was done as well as it could be done. The biggest thing that caught my attention was that each one had a chalk line and level. I had zero missed screws! Zero! That was my biggest concern because of previous reviews I read. Alex and his brother were excellent and a pleasure to meet.Thank you again for making this experience very very simple!

I’m giving the company 5 stars even though it started off a little rocky with getting our foundation done, we ended up allowing another company to do it even though Tarheel was going to send a new crew out. The sales lady Jasmine worked with me for over 3 months and was very patient and helpful while I decided on the perfect building for us because it is going to be our future home, we added a huge covered porch and a large carport. We paid the extra so it would be to “code” for our area to be built so we could live in it. The concrete person hired to do our foundation had it out of square but the crew Bob sent figured it all out and saved the day. The crew worked hard everyday from sun up to sun down and was polite and knew exactly what they were doing . Bob always returned my calls and was very helpful as well. My husband and I were very impressed with the quality of this building and are in the process now of finishing the inside to make it our home sweet home.

Building cost us $8100. Since the day it was built garage door was hung crooked and left a gap so when it rains the water runs into the garage. The roof also has a big gap when they put the building up. Rain and dirt coming through and landing on my classic cars. I paid more for the vertical roof. They came back twice and did not fix the problems. I had to hire a contractor to come in and fix the problems and now they want me to go after their contractor for reimbursement. Don’t buy through Tarheel. They don’t stand behind their buildings or their contractors!

These guys are the best. Came in beginning of last fall (2016) and worked the ground, poured the concrete and the crew worked until 11 pm to give me the slick finish that I asked for. The curing of the concrete took the most time. The 28 x 48 garage was built in one day. Workers were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. I've had no problems with my garage and am extremely happy. As a matter of fact, a friend of mine looked at my garage and had the same thing built at his home. Very satisfied.

I really don't know where to start. But I will start with the sales lady I dealt with was very extremely nice Haley. And I dealt with Jennifer as well super nice people. The contractors I don't have much to say about them. Far as the concrete and building contractors. Just be aware they will try to hustle you out of your money. And the owner of Tarheel Jeff lets it slide because he says it's hard to find contractors. Just so you know the materials that they bring to the job is your materials so any materials that are left over you are entitled to. Please don't let these contractors take your materials. Because they're making money off your materials doing side jobs and undercutting Tarheel. Yeah I know it's all business. Just be aware don't give away any money until the job is complete. Therefore I have requested the owner to call me still nothing ! I would highly recommend doing your research and buying your building somewhere else.

I am writing this review only because of all the bad reviews that I have read. I must say that tarheel has the best prices that I could find. I hope that they don't let me down.I recently ordered a 30 x 40 x 10 building from tarheel metal structures back on 6-5-17. I have sent my deposit in and have been talking with Erick and so far I have been pleased with all of my interactions with this company.I will keep posting to this review as the project goes along. I have spoken with Erick twice since I put my deposit down, the last time being today. I was told to call back in two more weeks and check to see where I stood on the schedule.I was told 6-8 weeks on delivery from the get go so I have to say that from what I am begin told everything is right on schedule.I will post more on this review in a few weeks. Hopefully with a good report and pictures.Okay, it's been a couple of weeks since I last updated my review. I spoke with Tarheel last Thursday (7-13-17) and the lady that I spoke with was very nice and helpful.We went over my contract and made sure that the colors of my buiding was correct on the contract and we talked about final payment requirements and I was told to expect a phone call from the installer within two weeks.I was told that my buiding would be up before the end of the two weeks. If everything holds true I should have a building by the 28th of July, keeping my fingers crossed.July 31st will be 8 weeks since signing my contract with Tarheel.I will update review at the end of next week and hopefully I will be able to share some pictures.Well, just another update here on July 31st. Here it is 8 weeks out and still no building. I've been told that the only thing they are waiting for is an installer to contact me. I am starting to have my doubts if i will ever get a building. May have to kiss that deposit goodbye and take that as a lesson learned.This past Friday I had an installer contact me, said he would be out at 6:30 on Saturday morning. He and his crew got there right at 6:30am after a 3 hour drive, they went straight to work and finished up and was leaving at 1:30pm. They did a great job, building looks great and I am pleased with with the outcome.I will say this about Tarheel, if you want a great building and you have time to wait I would highy recomend them, just don't expect to have it in a week or so. I waited right at 8.5 weeks from signing my contract until the building was erected.If you can get Jennifer as a sales person you will be in great hands. She was more than helpful to me and wasn't even my sales person.Don't let some of the negative reviews sway your opinon of Tarheel, I almost didn't use them because of the bad reviews. Seems like no one likes to write good reviews.

Waited until Sunday to want a certified check then threatened to take materials back. How to you get a certified check on Sunday with no warning. Came at 12 in the morning until 2:30 am working on the door; waki g up neighbors. Left ALL of the leftovers and trash in my yard. I call the main office to complain. Chris said he'd call me back,,,never bothered. Guy in charge of building called said it would be Saturday before they could come.This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Would not recommend this company to anyone,,,ever! They should be ashamed of there work and lack of professionalism.

I recently purchase a 24 x 30 building with a 12' lean. I could not be more pleased. They were a complete package deal. Concrete pad and building.Crews were courteous and polite and kept me well informed. My contact in the office remained in contact with me throughout the entire process.Before making my decision I personally drove to the plant for a visit and tour to see the product before making my decision between two companies. Obviously Tarheel was my choice. I am very happy and would recommend Tarheel Metal Structures for you next building project.

Dealing with this company was a 8,500.00 mistake. I ordered a building and six months later nothing. Charlotte, tells me she is waiting on New Mart, a “sister” company, New Mart sends me to Charlotte as the one who schedules the jobs. It turns out this company has all kind of problems, lack of help, machines issues and many other they cited. When finally I get a delivery and erection date, Charlotte is busy arguing with me over the phone about “what she told me” was she would get back to me on the delivery date.

Poor workmanship. Customer service is terrible. No one will ever call you back. (they tell you they will but they never do). Once this company gets your money, there is no customer service after the sale. I don't know how this company stays in business. I've tried on numerous occasions to get someone out to repair my concrete (cracked in several places within weeks of getting it poured). As of 9/9/15, I still haven't heard from anyone. Jeff (concrete guy) with this wonderful company said he would have someone call me next weekend. That was the first part of July and I still haven't heard from anyone. This has been going on for two years. Now, one of my roll up doors is broken and I can't get anyone to call me back about getting it fixed. Had to have the other roll up door replaced several months ago after it broke too. Do your research before you purchase a metal building but whatever you do don't use this company.

So far they have one star from me. They have my small deposit and sent the 'paperwork' for signatures and I have a few questions. I have called and left four messages over the last week and sent an email to our salesperson- Jessica- and have not received a return call or email. May just have to kiss the deposit goodbye and find a better company!

Very poor customer service and wouldn't stand behind the price they quoted us on our building when we told them repeatedly what we wanted and even showed them a picture of the exact building we wanted on their website. Talked to me like I was a child and very disrespectful. Have had other friends that used them and they are having all kinds of issues with their building leaking and not being sealed like its supposed to be, he paid over 11,000 and they refuse to fix their mess ups. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

Left a ton of trash even with a trash can outside. They asked for a certified check last minute. We're supposed to come at 12 did not show up until 4. Took all of the extra metal pieces that were supposed to be left for us to use. Huge dents in the metal on the front of the building!!!! Do not use them.

Got building built and paid extra so it is permitted and to code. Building won't pass inspection and they never finished the hardware for my roll up door. Hopefully they will fix it and I can come back and update this review.

First they make you sign this ridiculous contract that releases them of any liability and wrong doing, letting them keep your down payment, and completely gives them the upper hand, they use sub contractors, that I'm sure you cannot get ahold of once they leave your property, I was first dealing with Jennifer and after I gave the deposit and needed more information could no longer get her, to return my calls so after a week or so someone answered the phone it was Haley , not Jennifer, even then it took a few more calls to get everything squared away, I paid for a concrete pad and a 24X48X14 building on a quick glance the building looks good, but three weeks later the concrete pad is splitting four ways there are no Corner T's in the corners, the corners are held together with little L brackets, and 3/4" sheet metal screws, the roll up door is mounted with the same 3/4 screws , they didn't put any screws on the bottom of the building, you can push the walls out, I will let the pictures speak for them selves, as far as the people who did the work they did work hard.

Building is unfinished, very poor work!! can't install gutters, without hiring someoneto cut off 2" of metal roof. Behind the building is cut uneven, in front has severalpieces for boxing in where gutters go. on sides of where the two colors meet.Nothing to finish out or cap off water from leaking inside.
