I contracted Washburn Builders to build a shop onto my existing home, and I’m very pleased with the result. Work was done in a professional and timely manner, material and labor shortages notwithstanding. All of the subcontractors used were competent and personable. Between David Washburn and the subcontractors I was kept well informed of progress (or weather and material delays), and never felt ‘out of the loop.’ David very patiently answered questions and explained the next step of the process - when material would be delivered or the next crew would arrive. David, and the contractors, were very good in asking my opinion of details – and often (tactfully) suggesting better alternates than my plans – “If the window were a little higher, then you could…” or “That’s a pretty color, but if it were darker it would match the…” and the like. Nice to have the knowledge of someone who’s already been there and done that! Washburn Builders built our new garage and did an amazing job. The quality was beyond what we expected. David and his whole team were great to work with, and very professional. There were several trades involved in the overall construction and David made sure the work was coordinated so that there were no delays and kept the work flowing so that it was completed in the timeframe he initially gave to us.
