If you are planning a renovation in this area, Aubrey Faatz Home Crafters should be at the top of your list. Quality of work is apparent in our completed project of a garage conversion to a bedroom and bath. Having owned several custom homes we have learned what quality is and looks like. The most important trait of a business is responsiveness to the customer. Aubrey Faatz has chosen his staff well. Jonathan Yurick - project manager- answered our questions promptly and honestly, never seeming to tire of our queries. On site, Beau would lay out for us what was next before we asked; and Cory - a shout out to you - polite and productive. One final comment: We were impressed with the quality and professionalism of the subcontractors.Would we use them again? Definitely

They built our first home and worked with us every step along the way to make it ours. Excellent quality and attention to detail not seen from larger companies building hundreds of houses at a time. Great owners with a great team to make it all happen!Service: Home building

Dishonest and Rude! When we arrived, all of their vehicles were in our driveway, as well as up and down the street on both sides. My children my husband and I were trying to cross the street where we thought there was a gap between two of their vehicles but there was not a gap. We had to rush around three vehicles and one large trailer to get to the sidewalk which is our only access to the beach. I spoke to the owner later and asked if she would mind moving some of the excess cars that weren't the contractor's cars that had tools and materials needed for their job down the road a block and a half to the public parking. Mandy Faatz told me that she had permission from the police of Ocean Isle Beach to park on the side of the road between two no parking anytime signs. Because of her inability to cooperate I had to call the police to ask them to help us get safe access to the sidewalk across from our house. the policeman told me that he was positive they had never been given permission to park on the side of the street nd the policeman. Mandy Faatz lied directly to me. When the policeman arrived, Mandy rushed over and became slightly hostile while holding her finger up to an older lady's face and telling her that she was out of control. that lady was a renter of our neighboring house. If that lady was out of control i couldn't tell and I'm pretty certain if a woman was out of control in front of a policeman the policeman would let her know that. Finnaly the excess cars that did not have materials for the job were moved to another location. Sadly that other location was all of my neighbors yards and driveways. They were not all here to tell the company that was not okay. 8PM that evening Aubrey and Mandy Faatz got into a truck to back out and leave. A man in the back seat of that same truck flipped us the bird while they were leaving. I had four children under the age of eight on the porch at that time. We were later accused of not owning the house because they looked my name up in public records. That wasn't very smart on their part. My name had changed because I had gotten married. If I had hired someone to work on my house I would really hope they would be courteous to my neighbors. Many contractors have to shuttle in from their personal vehicles when they're working in a very congested vacation area at the beach. With their cars parked on both sides of the road visibility was very difficult when we tried to back out of our driveway. Also, I don't really understand why so many different contractors were at the home at the same time. I'm sure these contractors were just in a crunch due to poor project management. I very much hope our renters this summer don't have the same trouble we have had.

Very disrespectful and unkind. Uncooperative and entitled. Project Manager/owners wife has a power complex that leads to problems.
