We live an hour from town. Our AC units condenser is going out. We called & made an appointment for them to come change it. They drove to our farm. Turned it on & off “several” times and left without changing the part. Sent a bill for over $250 and never even called after the visit.Won’t be using them again or recommending them to others.Service: A/C system maintenance

Our AC seemed to have quit on us shortly before a very hot weekend and no one could get us in. A-1 got someone here the same day. Scott did an EXCELLENT job. Not only did he find and fix the issue, he also helped hook up a thermostat that we’ve been wanting to change out for a very long time. He did great work and was very communicative, explained everything as he was doing it, I can’t recommend him or this company enough. I can't even begin how awesome A-1 is. Christmas weekend, cracked heat exchange, bad main control board. I went from no appointment and then being so busy they couldn't promise they could get to me to my furnace being repaired on Christmas Eve.Amazing service, reasonable price and great humans. These guys were great, they cleaned our pellet stove and chimney even with snow on the roof and then a few days later my blow fuse went out and they came back the next day and replaced that too.The workers are very knowledgeable, polite and nice. They took their shoes off every time before coming into our house and answered all of our questions.We heard about their business through a friend who also highly recommended them.Service: Heating system repair

They installed our AC and heating less than 5 years ago. We’ve been having issues with the AC not being able to keep the house cool. One of the guys came and looked at the AC and couldn’t really figure out what the problem is. He said he was going to talk to the boss and get back to me. He never contacted me so I called. I told the receptionist what was going on and that someone needs to follow up with me. It’s been almost 2 months and still no response.They don’t take care of their customers!Service: A/C system repair

My wife and I have been remodeling our house for over a year now, last fall we decided to bite the bullet and install a new furnace, central air, and ducting in our 100 year old 2 story house. I called 3 local heating and air companies... Dustin was the most courteous, not pushy by no means, very prompt, gave us options, and he was looking out for our best interest. No sugar coating with Dustin, and I appreciated that. The crew came out and got to work shortly after we chose A-1 for their services. They kept their work areas clean, and the finished product showed craftsmanship. When all was finished our final bill was honored from the original quoted price. A-1 is very customer oriented and puts "QUALITY" over "quantity"! I would highly recomend them!

Dustin and his crew are awesome! They came and replaced a heater for me did not try to up sell me on other things. Quote I was given was reasonable and fair for the great work they did. I will definitely be using A-1 again.

Very expensive. Called them to do maintenance check before winter to make sure nothing is wrong with the 2-yr old furnace, charge 70 dollar just the service call and to do the checking 50 dollars. Total Charge 120 dollars for just less than 30 minutes of checking the furnace.

Dustin and his team of heating and cooling experts at A1 are one of the best HVAC companies in Bismarck and central ND. They are personable, great listeners, resourceful, affordable and do exceptional work. Our need was a high efficiency furnace and new duct work installed to replace an old baseboard/boiler heat system in older home in the country. The quote Dustin wrote us was almost 1,000 dollars lower than we received from HVAC installer in our small town. Even with travel expenses, A1 offered us better pricing. If your on the fence at all about working with them I leave you with this. There was not a scrap of metal, plastic or any type of pipe or duct fitting to be found after they completed the job. Dustin even upgraded our thermostat to Wi-Fi capable at no extra cost.
