For customer service & timely-ness I would give them 5 stars. They are easy to work with & very friendly. The reason for our low rating is their pricing - now I understand everything is more expensive these days. But when they put in a thermostat less then 2 years ago & it already broke… it’s ridiculous that only the thermostat is covered under warranty. The guy was in our house & changed the part in less then 5 minutes. But it cost $191 for those 5 minutes. Ridiculous. They charge $100 an hour of which his first hour was just drive time & then he got an additional $40 for gas. The pricing is a little extreme, if he spent an hour plus actually working I would understand, but if a part they put in is under warranty, there should be a different pricing system. We definitely learned our lesson, & next time will just go through whirlpool & do it ourselves. Especially after we found out the exact same thermostat online was cheaper to buy then to use their services.

We had a leak in the bottom of our water tank that was rusted out. Leaked on to the utility room floor and under the wall to a carpeted bedroom. Accepted the estimated price for replacement and was well worth the price and was there just minutes after I made the call to stop the leak before it got worse.Thank you.

(Oct. 2023) Furnace couldn’t keep house warm. They discovered loose manometer tube and shined up the flame sensor. Been running for 3 days now like a champ. I thought the hourly rate (w/experienced service guy) and quickly fixed heater vs. buying new furnace was reasonable. Still very pleased.(April 2021) Needed a quick "tap into existing HVAC ducting to heat separate room" project completed. They were very responsive and were able to complete the job within a week of the request. Reasonably priced. They sent a tech out to trouble our home a/c tl shortly after I put in a service request. After getting a quote for a new unit, since they couldn't repair the coil and unit was aged, they were quickly able to get in to install and get us back to comfort.

I called Fire and Ice to come check my boiler after I noticed it had begun leaking. A member of the team came out to look at it and said they would get back to me. After a second time coming out to look at it, I had to chase them down to get a quote or find out anything about what was wrong and needed repairs.About two weeks later they came out to do the repair, which after multiple follow ups, I was able to get an estimate for. As happens, more things popped up during service and additional repairs needed to be made.However, once the repair person left, I noticed I had no hot water. They had not turned my water back on when they were finished so I had to figure it out on my own. That wouldn't have been a big deal (thanks to YouTube) independent of anything else, however, my boiler stopped working all together. It had been leaking- though still functional. After over $1,300 in repairs, my boiler would not provide heat.I attempted to reach out to the service provider to ask if there were other valves, etc. shut, but did not hear back. I ended up calling someone else to come look at it, over the weekend, because it got to freezing temperatures outside and I could not wait. The Fire and Ice representative had not only left off the water line, but had shut off all water intakes to the boiler and not bled the boiler after repairs. This caused my boiler not be able to intake or circulate water for heat. The outtake was overheating and could not work.I am not a boiler, or heating, expert. I do not know how to fix these things and count on professionals--who charge $100 per hour-- to do so and to make sure their work actually works. I was very let down.As an additional let down, the day the repair was done, I told the service person I was concerned because in chasing them down, I didn't get recommendations and knew my boiler is old. He told me he would probably have just replaced it---but nobody gave me that recommendation until AFTER the service. I asked for a quote on what that would cost. I am still waiting on that, but won't be chasing them, will go to someone else.If you use Fire and Ice, make sure to ask a lot of questions, be prepared to have to chase down answers, absolutely make sure you personally test every feature needed on your unit before they leave, and DOUBLE CHECK your invoice as they charged me almost $600 for a $300 part (luckily I caught that before I paid the invoice).Services: Heating system repair, Heating system maintenance

Called for a quote and they showed up right on time. I accepted their quote and called them that morning wondering when they could start installing supplies and returns in my basement I am finishing. I left a message and they returned my call a few hours later and started the work that day. The job was completed the next day.
