We had a worrisome hole in our roof and the company responded very quickly. Jason was out on the Friday after Thanksgiving to give us an estimate. That Saturday they fixed the roof. The whole team was very professional and did a great job. They had to replace the facia board and the metal trim and some shingles. J&J is a local family owned business. They were absolutely fantastic from the time of our inspection and estimate until the completion of our project. I feel like we really got to know David and his son Jason quite well through the experience. They explained everything thoroughly, and went above and beyond to answer all of our dumb little questions. Let’s face it, most of us know nothing about roofing. I felt they were honest, knowledgeable and really cared about making us happy. We did some shopping around, and I can also say that J&J saved us a lot of money. I researched all of the brands of the products they used on our roof, and it is all top-notch, high quality materials. Our project was slightly challenging (see photo) as I share a roof with 3 other neighbors. Trying to line everything up from estimates, timing, contracts, payment etc, seemed like it was going to be stressful with so many people involved, but it wasn’t. It was a total piece of cake! David and Jason would literally drop what they were doing and be over to me within an hour when we were trying to sort out any of the details. They were probably here a half dozen times before a single old shingle was removed. They also tarped our roofs until the project could be completed (we had some minor leaks) and did an excellent job of clean-up after they were done. You wouldn’t have even known a large roofing project had taken place.To wrap this up, I highly recommend J&J Repair and Roofing for your roofing project(s). At the very least, get an estimate and talk to these guys. They aren’t some corporate conglomerate, you will be talking in-person to the very people that are going to do the estimate, measuring, billing, ordering of your project materials etc. They do excellent work, they’ll save you some money, but most importantly, they are just a fun and honest family to work with. We really enjoyed our experience of both the job itself, and getting to know them. You won’t be disappointed! Thanks again guys. We really appreciate it! I was WOWED! Highly recommend this family owned business. They treat you like family giving you the very best: spending time showing photos and satellite pictures and then service within 2 weeks. I was showed how I needed more vents and sealing around sky lights which apparently wasn't done last time roof was repaired by another company. In my estimation they go above and beyond, owners even stopping by job site during the day to answer questions/meet needs. Their team arrived early and worked throughout the day. I (Gary Hooper) was in need of a new roof. There were numerous places on the roof that were in bad need of replacement and repair..soffits, fascia, the shingles were hard and brittle. I checked the yellow pages and found J & J Repairs and Roofing. After talking to the owner, Dave McCracken, we set up an appointment to have it done. He came out inspected it and gave me a fair price. He was friendly, professional, and had a great crew working on the roof. So very grateful that the job is complete and I am happy with the results. We discovered our roof venting was cracked during the spring thaw. We called several other roofing companies only to be told that they hadn’t called their crews up yet, and we could plane put on waiting lists. Some companies told us we’d be at least a month out. We called J and J on a Tuesday, and he gave us several options to consider. We opted to replace all of our attic venting. They were out to our place on Thursday to get us in before the rain expected that weekend. They were so friendly, responsive, and came in less than they quoted on the phone. March 2020 David McCrackin (J&J Repairs and Roofing) removed our skylight. David returned our call quickly, stopped to inspect the problem, gave a couple suggestions and....... the crew was here to fix the problem at the time we were told to expect them. They did a great job repairing roof damage, the shingles blended very well with the old roof and they cleaned up all mess. David provided a copy of his state and city licenses as well as certificate of insurance, without our asking. We are having their recommended company finish the inside cosmetic work as well. After another roofing contractor told us our roof couldn’t be repaired and he would only be interested in doing the entire roof we decided to get a 2nd opinion from J&J...and boy am I glad we did! They came out and gave us a quote and came right back, ON A SATURDAY, and fixed our roof. They were fast, courteous, clean, and the work was top notch! They even found several other bad spots and repaired, yet stuck to the quote. Highly recommend!

Called up J&J hoping to get my roof repaired after the windy storm in early December. Dave was awesome thru the whole ordeal. This was my first insurance claim, and everything went so smoothly. While tearing apart the roof, the saw some crappy wood underneath and gave me a great deal on doing that for us as well. Overall, i would absolutely recommend to anyone, and will be employing their services for all my future needs.

We called J&J for a leak in our entryway and they were over to look at things the same day. Before we even had an estimate or signed contract they were up on the roof making what repairs they could at that time. We were very impressed. With rain in the forcast they made us feel like a priority and were back the very next day to work on things. We called this company based on their excellent reviews on Google. Our whirlybird went missing after a wind storm. I called the company before 8am and Dave answered the phone! He stated he would have someone out to our home before the end of the work day. He did exactly that! By 3pm we had a new whirlybird and a little education on them (we truly didn’t know much about whirlybirds OR their importance). Would recommend AND will be using again in the future as needed. I cannot describe how great of a company and the workers/owners of J and J are. Not only do they make sure the work done is perfect at a fair price, they completely look after you as a customer. They advocate for you. J and J called the electric company and had them out on-site the same day to fix some sub-par work the electric company had done months earlier. The guys were great. They showed up the day I called them and with in 2 days my roof was fixed. Which was great because a big rain storm came in the night they finished. Th owner has several businesses and was also able to clean out my yard of all the overgrown trees and weeds, he also cleaned out my gutters. My house looks great now!! We were in need of a complete overhaul on the flat roof over an addition on our house. We knew that it was going to be on the pricier side (>$5K for sure) so we called around to a bunch of places. J&J were mid-range on the price, but were willing to do so much more for us! Some places just wanted to rip off the rubber and relay new stuff and call it done. J&J were willing to replace all the structural plywood, replace rotted soffit, replace gutters, replace the patio door to the flat roof, AND lay the new rubber, still at less than what the other companies were charging!Not only were they willing to complete all the additional things within two days, but they were helpful, accommodating, and had a good attitude the whole time!I didn't trust walking out on the old roof, now I would sit out there whenever its nice and sunny and not have any worries about whether it was safe to do so. I would highly recommend J&J Repairs & Roofing to anyone who needs work done on their house. Any kind of roofing repair is expensive, so you might as well have the guys who do the best work! I seriously can not say enough good things about these guys!!

These guys are awesome! I called them yesterday because our turbine vent was completely by our finest ND wind. They were super responsive and kept in contact with me the whole way through. J & J Repairs and Roofing are an amazing company. In the midst of a blizzard on Friday, January 17th I had a whirlybird blow off my roof leaving a 12 inch hole in my roof. With the wind and snow, my attic was going to fill with snow and potentially cause indoor ceiling damage once it started to melt. The weather was cold and wind gusts were hitting 60 mph. David took my call, worked with his sons and got a new whirlybird installed that day! I cannot say enough on the timely communications he provided as promised and the great work done in horrible working conditions. I will be using J & J for any further needs I have and will recommend them to my family and friends. Family business. Large, well-coordinated and trained crew took only 2 days to do the job and stayed safe while doing it. Removed old roof. Took pictures of bad choices and workmanship of previous roofers for me in case I need them. Used high quality materials to install more durable, new roof. Replaced fire hazard of electric vent fan with superior system of passive vents. Cleaned up well afterward. Communicated with me at every stage. Also to give context of the difficulty: my house is tall, surrounded by trees and a garden, the roof is fairly steeply pitched and includes a chimney that had to be worked around. We had some serious issues with our ridge caps on our roof. I called J & J on a Wednesday, they stopped by that night to look at our roof and provide a quote. We were told exactly what was wrong with the roof and why it was happening. Ultimately our roof was not venting properly. We were given a more than fair price to repair the roof and replace and add our roof vents. Once we gave them the go ahead on the project they showed up that same week on Friday and completed the job. The work done was professional and the timing couldn't have been better with the rain we had this weekend. I would highly recommend this company if you need anything done on your roof.
