Never even got the project off the ground. I had high hopes for building a garage, and they guy who came out to look at my property was all like "I'll go to the city and see what we can do for the addition" since I have a tricky lot to build on. Well after 3 weeks of hearing nothing, and not getting any returned phone calls I finally got a hold of the guy who came out. He told me he can't do what I wanted because of my lot & gave me no other options for building. I commented about the lack of communication and he stated "I don't need your job I have plenty of work." I asked if there was any other options available for building a garage and he said he would check on things. Caught someone on my yard cam trespassing in my back yard later that day and taking pictures of the lot, but of course no one ever called me back. They even took property line paperwork I received from the bank and never returned it.

Our experience with Hopfauf Custom Builders was very good! The work crews were always respectful of our property. They took the time to answer questions as the project progressed. They cleaned up the work area daily. Our project manager, Jake, was easy and pleasant to work with. He responded to our questions and concerns in a kind, timely manner. In 2020 we started the process of adding a sunroom to our home. It was a very stressful experience and it was only 1 room, can’t imagine if it had been a house. As of today 5/23/23 our roof is still leaking and can’t get anyone to respond to us. FYI my maiden name is Hopfauf. I have used Hopfauf custom many times for both large and small projects. They do first class work and clean up the job site every day before leaving. They show up everyday and do what they say. Project took over 3 months to complete, I had to beg the project managers for information, items I specified I wanted at the start didn't get done, was left waiting on multiple occasions to let workers in that never showed up or they walked in when i didn't know anyone was coming. In the end had to set up a meeting and take in pictures of sub par work to owner to get it fixed. In the end the work was done but it took a lot of effort and time. Megan at the front desk was the only good part of the whole project.Service: Remodeling
