I want to thank Rich with Center Mutual Insurance Co. We had some severe hail damages on our house and it was such a relief to deal with Rich Hovland. He was genuine, sincerely caring and does his best to help people after a disaster. I recommend Center Mutual Insurance Co.

Center mutual is hands down the worst insurance company I have dealt with in 40 years. Everyone in the office is rude, eragant, and most of all ignorant. They have no communication skills, absolutely 0 customer service and most importantly they are fraudulent and charge for non existent policy’s. If anyone reads this please get insured somewhere else.if I could leave negative star reviews I sure would.

Very impressed. Rich came out in a timely manner and was very knowledgeable. He gave us an estimate for the damages which we agreed on. Then he got in touch with us about more eligible items insurance would cover. Very helpful and hard working. Hopefully we don’t need to use our insurance again but if we do I am confident Rich will treat us right.

After years of paying in and never being in an accident, my vehicle was back into an uninsured motorists. I also have protection for this yet they denied my claim. All i need was a wheel alignment and some paint work. Cheap worthless non caring company. Do not go throught them.

We made one phone call to Center Mutual to report our property loss due to a fire and Rich Hovland was onsite the next day to document the damage and start the claim process. After any type of loss like this there is a lot of anxiety, but he was professional and answered our initial questions. He also was up front about the questions he could not answer without more research. He has followed up on everything and we truly feel we have a partner helping us with the claim.

Summer has just begun and here in SW North Dakota it's been in the 90's. My Central Air went out and from the day I called it in to the day it was closed was only 4 days, and that was counting the weekend! This is my first time working with Rich Hovland. We called for a hail claim on our roof, screens and garage door in Rapid City, SD. Adjuster was there the next day, a Friday morning. The contractor recommended was there in the afternoon. We had the full check on Monday from Rugby, ND. The contractor finished the job the same week. Absolutely wonderful, but I am not surprised, they have honored the claims for us through the years without any hassle whatsoever. Five stars are not enough.

We lost equipment due to a fire during a blizzard. We spoke to our agent that afternoon and they referred the adjuster to us and he called that same day. Due to the weather, he was unable to reach our location for a few days but came immediately when the roads were cleared. WONDERFUL people and company to work with after such an awful ordeal. The appraisal went quickly and smoothly and there wasn't a lengthy delay in receiving the check for payment. Highly recommend and great to work with!

We had a terrible windstorm in North Dakota with wind speeds of over 80 miles per hour, which caused a great deal of damage. Since this was the first time I needed to file a claim with Center Mutual, I did not know what to expect. I was very happy to see the fast response from both my Agent, Diane Huber, and Adjuster, Rich Hovland. I was very impressed that Rich came out to my place so soon, along with his professionalism and fair settlement. He displayed great concern for our problem and handled this claim in record time. I have over 20 years experience with Center Mutual Insurance- every year they send me a bill and I end them a check! That relationship changed a month ago when we were hit by a micro burst that damaged every building on our land. Talking to neighbors who had had insurance claims in the past I was dreading the claim process. Add to that the COVID crisis that required me to be gone for a month during the initial review phase I was nervous! Upon return home I found the adjuster, Rich Hovland, had not only been very thorough he had been very fair! I had several questions about some damage and he gave me thoughtful, well reasoned answers to my questions and even though he cold not pay for that damage his reasoning was sound.I hope to not ever have a claim again but I am sure that Center Mutual will handle is quickly, fairly and with respect for my concerns!

Wow! Unfortunately, I've experienced more than one accident in my lifetime so I've worked with many insurance companies over the years and I am totally impressed with Dave Aadnes, Center Mutual Insurance Co in Rugby, ND. Recently, someone backed into me and damaged my car. I made one call and everything was in place in just a few hours. They were awesome, approved getting my car repaired, never questioned my report, asked me if I needed a rental (I was shocked) while my car was being repaired! They arranged that the rental will pick me up when I drop my car off to be fixed even. I am so impressed. Everyone told me, good luck in working with the insurance company when someone backed into me as it's a no-fault state. I was so worried this would be awful and it has been extremely professional, responsive and pretty easy. Thank you Center Mutual and Dave Aadnes, you are appreciated!

I'm a repair company I travel the country a big part of my job is working with insurance adjusters. Darin was extremely unprofessional started raising his voice at my partner and yelling. All because he did not want to pay to have the car properly repaired and go with another company that clearly missed a ton of damage because it was estimated outside. I don't want to deal with this company let alone pay them to cover my vehicles. Definitely a lot better options to insure your second largest investment.

I’ve been dealing with Bob Jaegars voicemail for over a year now. When you call- don’t bother getting a live person- you’ll get his voicemail and he never returns the call. He owes me a new roof on my home. I replaced all the windows, siding and the entire inside- the roof was never an exclusion and we got a horrible hail storm that did sufficient damage last year. I have leaking in my NEW MASTER BATHROOM and $1000’s of damage from the roof leaking into it when it rains. BOB told me he would look into the adjusters claim and as to why he said he wouldn’t cover it. Still no word. I will be hiring a private adjuster and suing them for time, money, inside damages, roof gutters, safet, facia, shutters, fence, electrical lights the wind tore off, and master bathroom Sheetrock, vanity, and linen holder. My dad has been in the roofing and siding industry since 98’ and he’s known as “the king of commercial”. This company has owned this house under their plan since the 70’s- my roof has never been replaced and there was no exclusions. Super disappointed with my time spent on this. The private adjuster takes 10% of the claim and he will add it to their bill. Don’t go with centermutual- they’re crooks.

I have both auto and farm insurance through them. I switched to them after an issue with American Family Insurance and discovering that Center Mutual was more affordable. Since getting them around 4 years ago I have only had 1 claim, deer collision on a vehicle, and they took very good care of me. My farm insurance has been another story. I keep having trouble with the billing. I never get a bill from them when my premium is due, but I always get a statement from them saying if I don't pay my premium in a few days they will cancel my farm policy. This is very frustrating considering I never get a bill in the first place! When I call Rugby to pay the bill I'm usually treated poorly and they always insist that the issue is with the mail. It sure seems odd that I always get a final notice statement but never a bill! They're lucky that my local agent is a good friend and a nice guy, other wise I would have switched again by now!

Avoid this company the plague!!!! I've never been treated so poorly by a company that I pay for services!!! My truck got hailed out by a tornado. Got an estimate for $8,900. The adjuster, Dave, said that it was a ridiculous estimate and he had to see for himself the damage. He came to my work to inspect my truck (I think he was dodging my husband, besides the point) he came with a worksheet to do my estimate from another company in a different town. He did not use Center mutuals papers which I thought he should. Then I waited 18 business days to recieve my check. Which was 2,900. I could take it where I wanted to he said but have to pay the difference. He treated me like I was a criminal. Taking money right out of his wallet. I took it to the supervisor Bob in rugby. He then again told me they will only pay for PDR. What a frickin headache. My truck is half done because I didn't have enough money to fix it. Save yourself, walk away!! Farmers here we come!!

Had a water pipe burst over labor day weekend. Called company on Tuesday when they opened. Adjuster came that afternoon and claim paid in one day! Rich was great!
