The lady answering phones is very unprofessional laughing at you when you call to ask a question. Very rude! Then they charge for estimates that are non-refundable, but also wayyyy over charge even for window replacements. I explained to the owner that he is ripping people off. Home depot will sell me a window, install it, and give it a forever warranty for the price they charge for strictly labor... then he tried to argue with me about it. Had to remeasure the same windows 6 times each as if he was intoxicated. Just an all around bad experience from rock solid and I will never recommend them to do anything for anyone ever... I really need this project done, but I'm not going to intentionally rip myself off to do a home project. What a joke! If 0 stars was an option, it would get none! Even the response I got from the owner was pethetic since I'm not allowed to comment to his response. Drunk by 10am dude? Git real! Nice attempt at a come back but your the only company that charges estimate fees which is sad... and I don't think I should get it done for little to nothing, but as I explained to you, I can buy new windows and have them installed cheaper than u can install one I already own... what sense does that make? Absolutely none! Not sure how your even still in business with prices Luke that and attitudes from not only you yourself but your rude receptionist. Asking where you came up with numbers isn't a funny question. Nor is it probable cause to assuming your customers are on drugs! Very pethetic thing of you to even say considering it is not true! Keep ripping people off. Mayb you'll figure out how to read a tape measure one day... BTW you broke the trim on my window when you tried to measure it. I can assume you won't be replying again or coming out to fix what YOU broke!

My turbine vents on my roof were on their last leg and grinding really bad. I contacted Rock Solid and they had a repair man here within a few days. The price was right and the service was exceptional.I will definitely be using their service in the future for other projects I need/want to complete around my house.THANKS ROCK SOLID!!!

They replaced a whirlybird for me, installed a gfi outlet, cleaned my gutters, replaced an outdoor light, and looked at my doors that I was having trouble with (not all at the same time). They did all of them well and he communicated with me when he wasn’t able to make it even the one time he missed an appointment he acknowledged it the next day and we rescheduled. He also explained anything that needed explaining (like telling/showing me what to do when the gfi didn’t work properly) and didn’t do anything that didn’t need to be done (I was told by someone else I would need to install GFI outlets for all my kitchen outlets but he said only the one was needed). He also looked at my door that was difficult to open and just put some wd-40 on it and explained it would probably need to be replaced soon (so no unnecessary work or charges) and explained (about my other door I had issues with which he had a simple fix for so didn’t charge me for that) how doors kind of expand in the cold. He also rushed over when I had an issue with my garage losing electricity which he somehow fixed and just charged a service fee for. Also involved me in the process of choosing an outdoor light and made sure of what I wanted (even kept it lower price which I asked for). We had to remove part of our carpeting when we had a plumbing issue. When the carpet dried I called Rock Solid Handyman Services. They asked for pictures of the area needing installation. I was given an estimate and the work was completed within a week.After vacuuming, two of the seams looked great. One seam just didn’t seem to lay correctly. I called back and they sent a carpet layer back over the same day and he was able to remedy the issue.I am pleased with the way the carpet looks and the prompt service. We had to have a fair bit of our siding replaced/repainted and reached out to Rock Solid for help. They were very easy to get ahold of, great with ongoing communication, and efficient with the work. I didn’t really shop around, but the pricing seemed fair - certainly well worth it for the low stress and solid results. We had a moisture issue in our attic, we were unsure of the source. Rock Solid took the time to figure out the issue and to show us pictures of what he was doing in the attic every step of the way. He also fixed our damaged sheetrock and did an excellent job of matching existing texture. When the project was done he also came back to add more insulation that might have been trampled during the repairs. We were very impressed. I needed to install my dishwasher that I purchased from home depot.Who was supposed to install the dishwasher but did not! I was in a desperate spot and rock solid understood my frustration. I am so impressed with Rock Solid! I woke up after a snowstorm and saw that some snow and ice had gotten through the bottom and sides of our front door. That same day we were starting to put new hardwood floors in our house, so I knew I needed to act fast and get everything sealed again so that moisture didn't ruin our new flooring. Rock Solid came out the same morning I called and worked diligently to figure out where air and water could come through. They tightened all the hardware, installed shims, and weather stripped the bottom, then recommended a good storm door to help keep the snow away. They took their time and explained everything they were doing to help me understand, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend Rock Solid — they do very conscientious and careful work, they are very reasonably priced, and make sure the job is done right!Service: General repairs

The guys from Rock Solid did phenomenal work for me! Very professional, precise and extremely courteous. I was having issues with a toilet that continued to leak even after replacing multiple wax rings over the years. Found out it was an issue with the subfloor. Rock Solid not only replaced the subfloor, but they did an amazing job putting in new vinyl tile flooring and a new toilet in my bathroom. They did such a great job, I already have them booked to complete another home project for me. I highly recommend them for any handyman needs, large or small. Called to set an appointment on Monday for a project that had to be completed no later than 4pm on Friday. Was put on their schedule for 9am Thursday. I expressed the urgency of the project. I called back Thursday at 10am as I had not heard from anybody. Was told I’d have somebody at the house in the next half hour and to send my email for invoicing. I reach out at 11:30 for an ETA. Claimed the technician was lost. Said they’d send out a new technician that was currently on another project. Then they tell me they can’t get here until Friday. An hour later the first technician who got lost trying to find the place shows up. Said I don’t have the right truck for the job, we’ll be back tomorrow. Office manager tells me they’ll be back at 8:30am Friday to do the job. 9:00am rolls around and nobody is here. I reach out to the manager. Tells me they need me to approve the estimate before they come over. I said well you said they’d be here at 8:30am and they’re not here. Had I not reached out, would you have notified me of anything. The whole time the manager talked to me like I wasn’t understanding of the situation. I missed a significant amount of work at my own job Thursday AND Friday for project that should’ve been completed in a couple hours Thursday morning.
