This was 2nd time working with Rugged Roof. This time it was for additional trim repairs, replace all fascia and gutters, new shutters, painted entire house. Scott and his crew are very responsive, very attentive to detail and want your house to look like they want theirs to when they are done. Quality work with quality products. Was very happy to be able to work with one company who could do the entire job. (Some other companies could not do the whole job, or would not even schedule from a request to come provide a quote.) The house looks great - like new again. Rugged Roof stays in my contact file should I need additional work in the future.Service: Gutter installation

Scott and his team did an awesome job replacing the siding on the entire south side of my house. I got 2 quotes for the job, and Scott was 20% less expensive than another quality company. He proved to be excellent at communicating, kept me informed all the way, and his workers (not subcontracted, all employed by Rugged Roof) were extremely professional. Quality appears to be great, and he even started and finished earlier than promised. Excellent company, will call him again when I need a new roof in a few years.

We initially hired Rugged Roof to evaluate & repair some wood fascia and trim for our home. However after some discussion on how to improve our home, we decided to have them replace the original (1995) siding with a modern composite. They did fantastic work! We chose a pre-painted color that matched our existing trim, and gutters. The Rugged Roof team was professional, prompt, and polite. Our home looks great, is better insulated, and they even repaired some slight water damage around a window exterior—preventing/preempting potentially serious issues that would’ve occurred if left untreated.Scott, the owner was engaged throughout the process, and listened to our concerns and addresses every one promptly. The team—Alex, Matthew, and Wolfgang were great, and did fantastic work. The final bill was very close to the estimate, and the results were superb. Highly recommend them—and when it’s time for a new roof, we know exactly whom to call!

Scott Thompson and his crew replaced damaged siding on our house. Additionally, Rugged Roof painted the entire exterior of the house, installed new gutters, and repaired/replaced the siding surrounding our chimney. Over the past 5 years, the paint on our house began to fade, and siding began to rot/have holes due to weather and insects. The exterior of our home was somewhat of an eyesore, and needed some TLC. Scott Thompson was extremely responsive to our needs, calls, and texts. Throughout the process, he was extremely helpful, and positive. He answered all questions thoroughly, and made the proper recommendations. During our face to face meetings, we discussed what we were looking for, and what our cost would be. There were no unpleasant “Surprises” in regard to the bill when the job was completed. Our home looks FANTASTIC! The quality of the paint, and the amount applied to our home was top notch. Rugged Roof is hands down one of the most honest, hardworking, professional contractor we have had the pleasure to hire. He REALLY cares about the quality of his work, the fairness of pricing and has always been on time and responsive. We had issues with bees, birds, and animals making holes in the cedar boards covering our home which allowed them access to areas they did not belong! Sun and water damage were taking a toll also and we knew we had to do something. We made many calls to siding companies and our calls were not returned or we met with them to never hear from them again! Our lucky day was when we reached out to Scott with Rugged Roof & Home Improvement. When we initially called him he was on vacation and he returned our call promptly! Upon his return we met with him, went over options, and he was so helpful with the dos and don’ts of what would be best for our home. The work was done in a professional and timely matter, the work crew was courteous and friendly, and the end product was fantastic! They went above and beyond what they needed to do and Scott was always available to answer questions and to give great advice. The cost was a bit more than expected but right in line with the quality product we chose. We highly recommend Rugged Roof & Home Improvement.

I have never had to get a roof replaced and was concerned about getting numerous proposals and deciding which was the overall better option. I am cost-conscious but I would not sacrifice quality just for a lower price.Rugged Roof was quick to respond to my call for a proposal and took the time to explain the options for shingles as well as the difference in quality of shingles available. They kept in frequent contact with me from the time I first called them. This was the easiest decision I have made when hiring a contractor.Rugged Roof removed my existing roof, replaced rotted boards, installed the new roof and cleaned everything up completely.....in one day! If you need roofing work done, Rugged Roof is a must.

Rugged Roof installed our roof in 2014. Scott and his crew were prompt, professional and very thorough. We recently had an issue with a leak near our chimney. We called Scott this morning and by mid-afternoon his son, Andy, was on our roof, assessed the problem and repaired the source of the leak...at no cost - even though it likely had nothing to do with their installation. You can’t get much more responsive than that. I highly recommend this company.

Rugged roof did roofing and siding work on our house this past summer after some strong wind damage on our home. Scott (owner) was very professional and responsive during the entire process. The crew did a great job on all areas even performing a few repairs (for free) on ancillary areas that weren't within the scope of the job. In the case I would need any future work on roofing, siding, etc. I would definitely contact them first to come and bid the job.

I had this company replacing siding for me. The owner Scott Thompson gave me an estimate and sent his son w his crew to do the job. They did an excellent job. Came when scheduled and was very happy. I called Scott last month to replace rotten cedar arches on outside windows and a hole made by squirrels. Gave me an estimate and didn't hear from him Finally called and lsaid he would come the following Wednesday. Didn't show up, didn't call. I called him one week later. Didn't answer. I call him so my name wouldn't show on his screen. He answer. Told me that they just finished a big job. I told him that he should have called me to tell me he couldn't come. He said he would send two if his guys on Saturday if I didn't mind. They wanted to make extra money for working in Saturday. I asked him to call me if they couldn't come. It's sat. Afternoon and nobody showed up. I called Scott at 10:30 am and didn't answer my phone. My name showed in his screen. Scott had told me that his son wasn't with him anymore. He opened his own business this winter. I contacted the son and after a week of trying to get in touch he told me he's not taking any more jobs this year. My guess is that people are happy w his work and has too many big jobs that he would radder do.The moral of this experience is Scott Thompson of Rugged Roof and Home had a good reputation because his son was doing an excellent job. Scott is irresponsible, unprofessional, unreliable and disrespectful to women. My guess is he's going out of business in the very near future. I'm not surprised he's being taking to court.
