I am so pleased with the quality roofing replacement work that Van Martin roofing did for me. From Scott at initial contact taking control of the effort with the insurance company, to Zach and his crew knocking out the project in one day (only 2 nails left behind under some rocks - that has to be a record on quality), and then Carlos who came by to attach my front gutter corner on the porch addition and had a great smile asking if there was anything else he could do to make it great. A fabulous job by all (including those in the office who took my calls and provided excellent customer service). I highly recommend this local company for any roofing services you might need.

Van Martin Roofing has excellent customer service, is responsive, and ensures the customer is satisfied with their work. Mario the estimator was personable, thorough, and educated me on my roof as well as attic. The Project Manager Melissa was also very personable, made sure all our concerns were answered, and that everything was correct after the roofs were finished. The crew worked fast and were friendly. There were some issues with cleanup but again the Project Manager followed up to ensure it was corrected. We had Van Martin come out and give us an estimate on a new skylight. They had to order it, as soon as it , and we were both available it was installed. It looked great, there was a small issue with the inside but at no fault of theirs. And they brought out a carpenter and had it looking awesome in no time. Everyone there was polite, courteous, and answered any and all questions we had. And I want to especially thank Melissa, she went above and beyond for us and she wasn’t happy until we were. I felt like I had known her all my life and we had some great conversations while she was at my house, now that’s service! Though the installation was a bit delayed due to weather conditions, I could not be more pleased with the finished product. Jim, the representative who provided the initial inspection and estimate, was spot on with how the installation would go - and how the new skylight would differ from the old unit. Gene, the lead on installation day, was timely, courteous and professional. Our installation took nearly 7 hours to complete and was done when the weather conditions were near freezing outside. We ultimately ended up working with a different contractor for our project. However, Zach was outstanding to work with during our consultation. He came out the day after calling the office, and when I mentioned to Zach that we had woken up to water on our floor from our leaking skylight, he went out to his truck, grabbed a tarp, and covered our skylight to prevent further damage to our home at no cost. We had two competitive quotes, but decided to go with the contractor who'd done work for us in the past.

The quality of the work was good, but the communication from the workers could have been better. The crews did not reach out prior to returning to finish the sections of the roof they did not finish to verify my or my wife's schedule and/or to just let us know when they were coming. The front office and the sales areas had very good communication though.Edit (07/28/21): After weeks of not hearing anything I quietly got an invoice today for the amount of the parts, which was supposed to have been looked into by the project manager. She was "going to call as soon as she found out" if she could just add it to the original financing. That never happened.Edit (08/14/2021): Adam the general manager reached out and was very apologetic of the communication faults and they are going to be working on in house processes in order to make sure this doesn't happen in the future. I appreciated the time Jim took to assess my gutter situation (I had runoff and overload problems unrelated to clogs) and I ultimately upgraded some of my gutters to mitigate the problem per Jim's advice. He even took the time to give me some DIY advice on other areas which should save me money. The install team came out and installed gutters well; everything appears and works great!
