We are extremely satisfied with the work completed by W. E. Bilbrey. During a year abroad my son's historic Oakwood home suffered damage due to a leaky roof. He contracted with Bilbrey to replace the roof, repair the damage to interior walls and ceiling, and also to gut and remodel a dated bathroom while he was away. They did an excellent job. As house sitter I was in the home as the work was in progress. They were efficient, considerate, and helpful. My son was very happy with the completed work and plans to hire W.E. My experiences with W.E. Bilbrey General Contractor has been very positive the few times I needed their assistance with projects. 2016 I needed concrete work to be performed for breaking up the old concrete, removing the 5” PVC piping and then laying new concrete due to water problems around the house. When I contacted Mr. Bilbrey and explained my situation he said he will get someone out to take a look at the situation. Within 1 week a representative came out, evaluated the situation and provided me with a cost. The employee was very professional and explained everything that needed to be done from the beginning to the end of the project.We are now looking to remodel our kitchen which will be a complete gut job including laying new flooring. I have reached out again with Mr. Bilbrey for his assistance. He and I spoke about what my wife is looking to have done this Spring (2018). Michelle from his company will be assigned to help us to understand what all will be performed and cost associated with this big project of ours. I am confident when the weather break I will be able to schedule some time with Michelle.On a personal note…...Mr. Bilbrey has always come across as a very honest and honorable person. I have met a few of his employees and that entire organization represent themselves very professionally. I have a very high level of confidence that if there were any issues that he will personally ensure satisfaction.

W.E. Bilbrey did a wonderful job with our tornado repairs. Repairs look great!! They replaced both the house and garage roofs, siding, replaced windows, fixed a hole in the upper part of the house, replaced a door and a garage door. They were able to handle all the repairs we need done and we didn't have to go to any other sources for any of the work. They knew the stress we were dealing with from the tornado and was very helpful about taking a lot of the stress off us. They made sure the repairs were completed before winter set in. Their quality of work was excellent!!!

I have worked with W.E. Bilbrey for a few years now. Before them I have worked with multiple other contractors and can honestly say no other projects have gone as smoothly as they have with W.E. Bilbrey. They have done jobs for me ranging from remodeling bathrooms to remodeling an entire apartment building. The work they have done on each project has been exceptional. The crews and representatives were always on time and easy to get hold of. They leave their work areas clean at the end of each day, not just when the project is over. When quoting the projects I felt listened too and that they did their best to do what I wanted done. Also, at the start of each project they did a good job explaining what to expect and giving me realistic timelines. Bill is easy to work with and has handled all the unexpected issues that come with any project professionally and calmly. Anytime an issue did arise it was addressed honestly, openly, and quickly. They also have been flexible in working with me, allowing me to do certain parts of the projects myself to save on cost. At the end of each project they assured I was happy with what was completed and stood behind their work. Overall, I would recommend them to anybody who is looking to have quality work done.

Looking at Google recommendations, I called WE Bilbrey to do some work on my deck and to replace a window. We got an estimate for this repair from another contractor when we purchased the home. The other contractor never returned calls so we looked elsewhere. We already had a check for the repair. We called to get an estimate from WE Bilbrey. The Lady who came was here all of 10 minutes doing the estimate. She took a copy of my original estimate from the other contractor and I said if they could match or even come close to it, the job was theirs. I even said if they want to eliminate the Window replacement to make the price closer, we could work with that. The lady said I would hear from them within a week. In 2 days, we got a letter in the mail saying they couldn’t do the job. Not thorough with the estimate process at all and it seemed like they never wanted the work anyway. Would Not recommend them at all.

April 2017To whom it may concern:We wanted an updated look to replace the avocado-gold bathroom we had been living with for over 20 years. Before choosing W.E. Bilbrey General Contractor as our contractor, we had looked at various stores and had not seen anything we liked. W.E. Bilbrey General Contractor offered us a great choice of cabinets, flooring and tile to put together a look we wanted. They gave us the flexibility to choose all the materials and colors for our bathroom. When we visited the wholesale tile and flooring companies that W.E. Bilbrey General Contractor works with, we found wall tile, trim and flooring that were distinctive and blended beautifully together. W.E. Bilbrey General Contractor reworked the estimate for the bathroom design several times, making changes to the design to reduce the cost until the total cost of the project was in the range we were willing to spend. W.E. Bilbrey General Contractor involved us in all the small decisions, like where to hang towel bars, so the new bathroom would be convenient for us. Then they turned our ideas into a beautiful room with quality work in all the details. When the original bathtub arrived with a scratch, they ordered another one so we would have a flawless bathtub in our remodeled bathroom. When our over-commode cabinet came in with rough wood on the bottom edge, the carpenter designed a molded edge to cover the rough wood that blends with the rest of the design. We love our remodeled bathroom.In summary, the W.E. Bilbrey General Contractor staff and workmen were all easy to work with and very capable, they kept us informed about the schedule for the job and they left the job site clean every night. This review is not on any work that they have done but on their customer service as they basically will not get back with me.I called W.E. Bilbrey over 2 months ago about getting some work done at my house. They came out within about a week (I believe it was Michelle). She took a look at everything and when she was leaving she told me it would be 7-10 days and they would mail a quote to me (not sure why they wouldn't use email to speed up the process).So it has now been about 10 weeks and I still have no quote. I called about a month ago and they said they were basically backed up with quotes so it was taking longer. Okay, things happen so I decided to give them more time. Two days ago I called back to try to find something out. Whoever answered the phone said they would try to figure out what was going on with the quote and put me on hold. She then came back and told me that whoever does the estimates was not in and that either her or the person that does the estimates would call me back. Again, two days later and I have still heard nothing.If they did not have time to do the work then they should have just told me that in the first place. I am now on a time crunch to get the work done and it doesn't seem that I am going to be able to get any contractors to come out in time. I understand that things happen and it might take longer with this kind of work but being told a week and it being about 10 weeks and I still do not have a quote is unacceptable. And now I basically feel like I am being blown off. Their pictures look like they do great work but my experience with their customer service has not been a good one. I would not recommend contacting them for work, at least not right now because apparently they do not have time to do any at this moment.Edit:I appreciate the response from the owner but I have to say that I am taking the proposed price quote as you guys do not want to do the work and as a big middle finger for writing a negative review.You want to quote me $39,000 to finish about 300 sq. ft. in my basement. That is absolutely absurd. And what is more absurd, $7000 to finish a less than 8ft by 8ft bathroom that is halfway finished when I have already purchased all supplies and equipment and have already paid for all electrical and plumbing work to be done. So $46,000 total... I can buy a house in my neighborhood for that much. If anyone actually pays these kind of prices then they are insane.I'm also not sure if it is common practice to shove your quotes full of 30 pages of positive testimonials from previous customers. Maybe it is but I am going to go with mine got extra treatment because of the negative review. Again, it looks like you guys do great work (and you better if people are paying the kind of prices you quoted me) but my experience has been extremely lacking. I am happy that other customers are satisfied with your work but I sure will never be calling again and I have made sure to tell anyone that I know that owns a home about my experience as well.

This review is for my mother in law as she is not keen with the internet.I am basing this review on the fact these people seem to judge the customers and not listen to what is wanted. We wanted the bathroom, back porch, hallway, and laundry room reconfigured/ remodeled, with us doing the demo as much as we can and helping with anything else. However, the young lady only focused on only the bathroom and acted like we could only afford the bathroom. We understand we have to get a loan to do all the work and that is not a problem, but we have to start somewhere in this house and that was what we decided. We was planning on doing the kitchen next come the spring. Also, it took 2 weeks just to get an estimate, sadly we ended up with a letter that basically stated they didn't have time for us. I suppose a simple phone call would take too much time. So much for that recommendation from our friends.

I had someone come out to my house in October for basement remodel and was told it would be 3 weeks for an estimate. I have called several times to check on the estimate and the woman who answered the phone said they were waiting on subs for pricing. I think you need new subs or better communication with customers that you will not be able to write an estimate for their job or simply don't want the work. Frustrating.
