We found this company after being stiffed by the initial contractor the insurance company sent after a fire. Paul was great to work with. Very polite and thorough in his explanations. Julie, the office worker, was also polite but had a tendency to drag her feet on things.They billed the insurance the full amount allowable but let me tell you, if they could cut a corner they did. And, if they could use cheap materials they did!Their workmanship is subpar. Well, I shouldn't say their workmanship per se. They do sub contract out but the subcontractors work reflects on this company. Something they must not think about.They don't prime drywall before it is painted. The one room they didn't have to replace some drywall in, the paint is already starting to crack and I can see the old color underneath.They had to rebuild basement steps. Every single step has cracked. None of the boards were flush thus causing gaps for stuff to fall straight through into the closet below. And! We found a razor blade stuck in the steps. Thankfully it was found when we went to apply an underlay from the closet and not by one of our feet.The company offers a 1 year warranty. What they don't tell you about the warranty is it is 1 year after said sub contractor is done. For instance, Mr Rooter done the plumbing. It has now been a year. However, we didn't regain possession of the house until July-ish. So, we lost 6 months of said warranty. And, don't expect their subcontractor to complete a job that does need fixed. We had some drywall issues. The very nice gentleman came in and fixed the spot but left them unpainted. Uuummm...doesn't that go hand in hand??Overall, the employees I encountered were nice and easy to work with. However, their business practices and workmanship leave something to be desired.

JN Construction was a real pleasure to work with for my roof replacement. They were very timely on preparing a quote for me. Once the contract was agreed upon and signed, they acted promptly on the purchase of the material and the installation of the new roof. The completion of the roof occurred within the time frame given to me and the work was expertly performed. I am completely satisfied with their work and I will continue to look to them for future projects.

Insurance called them to estimate a bathroom that had gotten some water damage from a leaking toilet bad idea. They call CPS and tell them there's syringes everywhere (there wasn't a single syringes in my house) and that my wife and I are addicts so we had to get a blood test to prove we werent using, then when we didn't call them for obvious reasons we didn't use them. They called the insurance and told them that the house was condemned its not we fixed the bathroom ourselves so use JN Construction at your own risk Mike Hudson was the estimater that came out and screwed our family over.

JN Construction handled a complex project to repair roof damage caused by overload from snow. This required an enhancement of the framing elements supporting our roof and replacement of the roof. In a project like ours, there is a danger of damaging the walls and ceiling inside the house. We were pleasantly surprised by the outcome. The quality of the improvements was impressive, and it was completed without damage to the ceiling, walls, or yard. Communication was good and the work crews were courteous. The project was completed in a reasonable time and slightly under budget. This firm’s ability to plan and execute a complex project involving several different work teams sets them apart.

JN Construction has gone above and beyond on two different jobs I had for them. The first was to fix damage due to my roof leaking, and the second was a major ceiling reconstruction in my dining room/living room. They promised to have the major reconstruction done in time for me to host Christmas and I'm please to say it was done in time for me to decorate and it looked fabulous!! Thanks Ray and Paul and the whole team that worked on it!! My family that came for Christmas loved it too!!

My boss and his wife used JN to remodel their 2 bathrooms. They did a wonderful job. Very nicely put together. It did take longer then expected to complete but the staff was courteous and friendly. The guy they use for the tile work was amazing! I would recommend and use them again.Service: Remodeling

I used Jason Neal 12 years ago to replace all flooring in my 100 year old home. I was amazed at his ability to improvise in such an old structure. His craftsmanship and dedication to his craft is excellent.Last year I had an addition added to my home and a remodel of my kitchen. JN Construction was not available to start the project immediately; I was inpatient so I went with another contractor - BIG MISTAKE! I fired the other contractor halfway through the project and brought in JN Construction. I already knew his skill level and workmanship was excellent. I was so impressed with his crew. Above being exceptional carpenters, they are professional, courteous, organized, and truly concerned about the project. I appreciated their communication and consulting with me on a daily basis about the project. My lesson learned is you sometimes have to wait (be patient) for the best that is out there. I have other projects in line to be done and will never go with another contractor again!

I had J&N out to look at a minor roof leak that has been plaguing my home for 2 years. Within 20 minutes Jason found what I had been overlooking. He also took the time to walk through other areas of concern and helped make a plan for repairs to items that are approaching failure.I would recommend Jason and his crew. Choosing J & N Construction was a bad choice to take care of the water damage in our house. Our damage happened on 10/31/19 from the upstairs toilet leaking which ruined the floors upstairs and downstairs and the ceiling fell down in the first floor bathroom/hallway. Part of our house had to be packed and put in a POD in our driveway. All in all, in was about a $40,000 claim through our insurance company. J & N was recommended to us. We noticed problems with this company as we went along with this reconstruction process as follows: workers only working approximately 2 days a week, drops of fresh caulking on our new flooring, a worker ripping/sawing floor boards with a rotary saw over the new flooring without covering it, failure to complete ceiling work and replace bathroom tub/vanity as approved by our insurance adjuster's specifications, tracking in soot from a fire claim from a different location, multiple leaks in the vanities and shower AFTER they were replaced, and dishwasher. The leaks were not detected by the construction company but by us, the owner, as we noticed water on the floor and carpet the next day. When I received the final bill from J & N the last week of February, we communicated with Jason, the owner, and project manager that once the leaks were fixed in our new shower/vanity, we would make the final payment of $3,024.09. After three attempts, it was resolved and the leaks stopped.We took the final payment to Jason at his office and handed it to him in person on March 2. He took the check signed it, and deposited it the same day. Unknown to us and not communicated, on February 27 (before final payment was made), Jason put a lien on our property. After receiving full payment on March 2, he did NOT remove this lien. We had already communicated to Jason that we were putting our house on the market. We were ready to close our house on March 27 and found out on March 23rd at 5:00 p.m. that this lien was put on our property. When I called him about this lien and asked why he put it on without telling us he said "you had the potential of not paying." Don't we all? It was clearly communicated to the construction company that we were holding the last payment until the leaks were stopped and the entire job was complete. This process was very stressful just from the nature of having our home torn up along with all the problems we encountered with J & N. I am writing this review to make potential customers aware of the experience we had with Jason Neal and J & N Construction Company.

We needed a quick fix of the fascia on our home around the holidays after some of the large wind storms in the area blew ours off the front of our home, making for a huge eye sore! The JN family was quick to respond, and actually came out for the quote on Christmas Eve, then had the spot fixed the following week. Very thankful for their service and responsiveness! Our home looks wonderful again! Would definitely recommend in the area and will keep in mind for future needs.

We had a catastophic water break in our cold water line in our upstairs bathroom while we were away grocery shopping in another city. We came home to a torrent of water flowing down the steps out into our garage, down through the ceilings in our hallway, downstairs bathroom, entryway, utility/laundry room, down our steps all the way down three floors to our basement! They responded immediately (within the hour) and were there cleaning up and setting up drying equipment and fans .After three days or so of drying out they also handled the refurbishing and rebuilding. We did have great insurance and all ended well. The crew was freindly and hard workers and left no mess behind as they cleaned up daily. I would HIGHLY recommend ProClean/JN Construction if you find yourself with water damage like we did.Services: Install flooring, Fan installation, Paint indoors, Refurbishment, Repair water fixtures, Remodeling, Drywall installation, Repair flooring, Drywall repair

JN Construction replaced our roof, skylights and gutters that were damaged in a storm in May of 2020. The project took longer than we expected and because of that there were some water damage on the ceilings. They responded quickly and did all they could to try to fix the problem. They were always professional and did what they said that they were going to do. The roof, skylights and gutters seemed to be properly installed.
