I had a plumber come yesterday because my toilet was whistling when flushed. Repairman was good. The price was astronomical. He was here maybe an hour. Replaced a plastic thing that flushes on the inside of the tank. And at first the quoted price was $392. I almost swallowed my tongue. I was a gold member so the fee for entering my house was cut from $99 to $50. Then we were given a senior discount and the total came to about $320.00.I had used Narrow Pathways before and they were excellent with reasonable pricing. What happened to them? I’m still shell shocked.

It was a difficult job. A complete remodel of a bathroom which had no upgrades since the house was built in the early 1960s. I appreciated the technicians’ patience, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities. On the first day to begin work, there was a power outage, not just for my house, but for the entire town. It was a hint as to how unpredictable things were going to be. Both my new vanity and tile wall were delivered broken, but they took it in stride and got both replaced efficiently. Excellent work.

Plumber was very polite and professional, however the estimate I received was very shocking. $1979 to remove and install a sink? Then I was harassed with daily text messages asking why I hadn't accepted the estimate yet. I ended up going with a different company who did the install and added a new disposal for less than 300. This experience left me hard pressed to recommend such a service, and was left feeling sorry for the people who have been taken advantage of and actually paid these ridiculous exorbitant price.

They were able to come out the day of our problem with our hot water tank, diagnosed what was wrong and gave us options to repair or replace. Although it would of been cheaper to take advantage of our warranty on parts and only pay for labor it would of taken longer and a full replacement with their 10 year warranty made more sense for a long term solution. They came out the next morning (Saturday) and finished in a little over an hour. Workers where nice, complete and left no mess at all. Thank you.

Edited in response to owner comments: I did call customer service TWICE as indicated below before I posted this review.Do not recommend.Been a customer of Narrow Path Plumbing for ten years or so. Always happy with their service and price. Called last week about the shower handle in my bathroom that was becoming hard to turn on. Tech arrived and looked at it. He went out to his van for around 20 minutes. He came back in with the part and a quote for $393.53 and told me he was taking the service charge of $99 off the bill to give me a discount (I guess without the discount it would have been $492.53). I was shocked, but told him to proceed with the repair. He completed the repair in 20-30 mins (max). He showed me the part. I paid the bill (invoice says 'Replace Moen 1255 cartridge for your one handle faucet'). I paid. He left. Oh, by the way, his name was Jerry.Later that evening I looked the part up on line. I found a picture for the Moen 1255 cartridge. It costs @ $25; therefore if you do the math, the service itself was over $350 for 20-30 mins of active work. Dang I wish I was a plumber!I have called Narrow Path twice now to discuss this excessive charge. I was twice promised a return call from the plumbing manager (I wanted to avoid writing a bad review if possible). I did not receive a return call. I had issues with my plumbing a couple of months ago and I had another plumber come out. He was unprofessional and only temporarily fixed the issue. When our drains got clogged again I called Narrow Path Plumbing and I am so glad that I did! They were very professional. They fixed our issues quickly and they permanently fixed them by installing a clean out and running a snake and camera. We haven't had any issues since they fixed our plumbing. They were also reasonably priced. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and I recommend them to everyone who needs a plumber.

Needed a new hot water heater. I called that evening and they were immediately responsive and made arrangements to install the heater the very next morning.
