A great experience yesterday with XH&A. Our gas heater would not spark and kept on blowing fuses. Cody came within the time window we had been given that same day. A very knowledgeable young man who explained everything he was doing and had the problem diagnosed within an hour. My wife appreciated him wearing protective booties inside the house and I enjoyed talking with him and watching a master at work. It was such a positive experience we signed up for the year maintenance plan. Thanks again, you kept us from bringing the grill inside! Lol

I was not as impressed with the yearly electrical check as I have been with other services from Five Star. I was quoted an astronomical amount for a couple jobs I knew I needed and they included a diagnostic service fee?!? If I am telling you I need a new bathroom fan and I just need you to install it, I don’t need a diagnosis. Anyway, hoping that was just a fluke but I will most likely not be using Five Star for my electrical needs. Ben was very professional and thorough in the trouble shooting process to discover the real issue we were having. He was able to assess almost immediately what the issue was based on the system readings and what he saw at the evaporator coil, and we appreciate the extra time he took to create a temporary fix to test and verify he was correct. The temp fix also gave us time until the new system can be installed. Ben was also very knowledgeable and provided several options for us with no pressure sales tactics; he just wanted us to be happy and go with the solution we were most comfortable with. We appreciate that. Great company and we highly recommend them!

Steve was friendly, professional and explained what he found as he checked over our plumbing system. He provided photos of what he found and made recommendations. His report to me was troubling since I had previously had the house inspected when we bought it and there had been another plumber in for a problem with the water softener and a leak and neither of them had alerted us of any of the problems that Steve had found. We are, however, installing a carbon monoxide detector and planning on replacing the gas water heater with an electric one. Changes that our home budget had not been planning for. Doing lawn work the electric to the ac was accidently cut. I called for help and Charlie who answered my call was very kind and reassuring that the company could help me and take care of my issue. She gave me an appt. window of the next 4 hours that someone would be there. Within 15min of the first hour of the window Jeff called and said he was on his way. I really appreciated the extra effort to get to my issue quickly. He knew I was upset and was able to arrive quickly and fix the problem. He gave me information and a great pricing quote on a newer system as mine is old, if I choose to replace. Great customer service! I will definately reccomend and use this company in the future.

Sales: I had several estimates and their's was the best offer. 10year parts and labor. Most others were 1 year labor. You do need to have them do the yearly maintenance on your system for labor part of warranty but that is ok. Manufacturer only covers 1 year labor. (Make sure you register unit. In ohio manufacturer can limit to five years parts warranty otherwise). I was also able to get upgrade from a second tier outdoor unit brand to Carrier Brand. Saved over $3000.Installation: They arrived during time slot and called to let me know they were on the way. Installation went well for most part. A couple of bad sensors (condensate high level sensor) but that is the part manufacturer's issue not installation company. Only issue I had with installation was they over charged the system with refrigerant. This caused the system to shut off prematurely. Installed Friday. I called Saurday. They came out on a Sunday and corrected.So far the system is running well. I replaced a 30 year+ system so it definitely seems to be running more efficiently. Very satisfied with company and equipment.Services: Install AC, Thermostat installation

10/10 when your AC goes out during the hottest weeks of the year it's a NIGHTMARE. Within 10 minutes of arrival he knew what the issue was and had it fixed 5 minutes after that. Had a really terrible day only to come home to our AC system not turning on. I called hoping they could get someone out by mid-week only to be surprised that someone could come the same day. The technician Josh was here within 30 min. He was professional, relatable, and explained everything he was doing and even gave my wife and I advice on what we should keep in mind with our system as it’s an older one. would like to thank five star and a special thanks to a/c technician Kevin Vest for an above and beyond experience! i recently purchased a new HVAC system from five star and complete installation was done in 1 day. everything i was promised was done and done properly. then the other day i noticed the outside unit no longer would come on, after checking obvious things i noticed that the wiring to the unit had been chewed thru by my 95 lb German Shepard puppy. i called five star and explained and within 1 hour Kevin was there and repaired my unit and dog proofed it. this they did under there no hassle warranty. needless to say i am a very happy customer and would recommend five star to all, these guys know what there doing!!!thank you guysR.D.
