Will update after trip, but owners are so nice and communicate everything well.Let me say, there are not enough stars to give to convey how much I loved Bella Vista. The cabin is much roomier than I expected. The views are so beautifully unreal. It's so quiet, peaceful, and the perfect place to get away from the noise of the city.The bed swing is great, swaying away listening to the birds and soaking in the fresh air. The windows look more like high definition photographs, the views are that beautiful. The stars at night are so bright. I miss seeing so many stars living in the DFW metromess with all its light pollution.The road going in was a bit rough the last 2 miles, but it was also raining hard and we wanted to be sure of where we were going. The written directions got us right to the cabin with no problems. I now understand why a higher clearance vehicle is needed - there's some big rocks in places. A few places the water crosses the road, but even with flash flooding around Mccurtain County, it was only about 2-3 inches deep. There's beautiful wildflowers along the sides of the roads and birds everywhere. Only on the last day did we see any other animals - two wild pigs.I seriously could live here all year long. It's quiet, peaceful, beautiful, and the cabin itself is cozy and nice.I want to come back again soon. Thank you for providing such a great escape!

Our recent stay back in February at the Summit House, part of Bear Creek Vacation Rentals, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, was nothing short of spectacular. The cabin was not just a place to stay, but a destination in and of itself.The moment I stepped into the Summit House, I was immediately taken by its cleanliness. Every corner was spotless and clearly well-maintained. The cleanliness lent itself to a sense of serenity that extended throughout the cabin, making it feel like a home away from home.But what truly sets Summit House apart is its breathtaking views. With floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap around the property, the cabin provides an immersive, panoramic experience of the stunning surrounding landscape. Every morning, I was greeted with a picture-perfect tableau of the sun rising over Broken Bow, transforming the sky into an array of vibrant colors. At dusk, the tranquil setting sun against the backdrop of rolling hills was a sight to behold.In all, my stay at Summit House was an unforgettable experience. The cabin provided an exquisite blend of comfort, cleanliness, and unfiltered access to natural beauty. I wholeheartedly recommend Bear Creek Vacation Rentals to anyone seeking an escape into nature, without compromising on the luxuries of modern living. I can’t wait to return.

Our stay in Phoenix Rising was so spectacular. The 360 degree view of the valley's and lake were out of this world. The stars were so bright and clear at night. My wife and I could not have asked for a better place to stay for a few days off the grid for relaxation and a time to rejouvenate . We were off the grid, but still within 20-40 minutes of all outdoor activities. We were able to go zip limning, kayaking and horse back riding. The cabin it self is first class and very clean. The interior is immaculate with a great flow for decor. WE had absolutely no complaints about our stay. Thank you to the host for building this gem for all to enjoy and thank you for opening up your cabin to us.

Stayed at Phoenix Rising. The stay was amazing. The view from all levels was spectacular. Very remote cabin, but definitely well built. There is plenty of places around to hike, or just relax and enjoy the view. Will be returning here again.

We drove in after a nice rain and the streams were fun to drive through! There is a definite need to be in a truck or higher vehicle! We had to back down to let someone pass by us. The drive an adventure, full of fun and well worth it at the top of the mountain!The cabin was ready for us and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed and in working condition! The games were fun at night and kept us busy until we went to sleep!Being off grid did not phase us at all and they have invested in making that look easy! The water pressure was amazing, the water was hot and we never had an issue with power or a comfortable temperature! The bed was comfortable…The outside is where we spent most of our time! That view is a million dollar view. It is healing to start your day above the clouds and end them with a glassy lake below. The sound of the stream running helped to calm all the noise from the hustle of life. We will all miss this view! We will miss the stars!We took the hike all the way down to the lake! Coming up really got our hearts pumping but it was 1000% worth the trek! Whoever maintains that “trail/road” has done a great job.The management team was attentive and checked in with us! They greeted us and wished us safe travels!I can honestly say I don't think I could stay in any other location in BB now that we have experienced BearCreek/BellaVista! Thank You for sharing your spot on this earth with all of us! 1000% satisfied

THE GOOD:[  ] The cabin stayed warm with only the main gas heater running[  ] The second bedroom bed (the queen) was comfortable[  ] The view,  from the porch, when not raining, was spectacular[  ] House was comfortableThe BAD:[  ] Light above the kitchen sink was burnt out[  ] No stovetop light- light above stove burnt out[  ] Back door doesn't lock[  ] Low water pressure in the kitchen due to the nozzle being clogged[  ] Hot water in the kitchen takes 5 minutes to warm[  ] No bowls for cooking, very few amenities in the kitchen.[  ] Fridge makes a loud noise when running[  ] Table is wobbly (top not connected to barrels)[  ] Wifi only worked for about 3 hours on one day[  ] Windows were dirty[  ] Table on the porch was broken[  ] It rained three of the four days (no one's fault there,  but) no covered porches,  so we couldn't sit outside and watch the rain‐ (even if just the top deck was partially covered,  we could have enjoyed the outdoors)[  ] No place to keep wood dry ‐ had to bring our own,  but because of the rain couldn't use it. (small wood storage on the side of the house would solve that)[  ] Outlet by the futon didn't work[  ] One of the lights in the second bedroom flicker so much we couldn't leave it on.[  ] Shower head was clogged to the point only half the nozzles worked.[  ] The toilet was dirty,  I had to clean it.[  ] Outlets hanging out of  the wall[  ] The wifi password posted in the cabin and on the email was wrong (should start with a capital letter)[  ] The biggest issue:The Generator ran constantly- even when the only thing pulling electricity was the fridge and kitchen lights.  So we had to listen to the noise for three straight days. It would kick on,  run 15 minutes,  turn off for 5, and repeat, From Wednesday through Friday morning...(when we reported the issue we were told the batteries had been bad on the solar unit for a while and needed replacing.) The maintenance did adjust the generator and disconnected the solar Friday,  which helped.For the price we paid upkeep and having a working solar system and kitchen with items to cook with would have been preferable.Spending a little on upkeep would make this place a 5-star experience,  but in its current condition...2.5 starsThe view was spectacular.

We had an amazing time at the summit house!!! I cannot recommend waking up for sunrise enough. It was breathtaking! We are already trying to plan our next trip back!! Great house, communication, and amenities as well.

I love these cabins! I have had the chance to stay in a few of them but my personal favorite is the Phoenix Rising. The views from this cabin are absolutely breathtaking with the 360 porch overlooking the lake and mountains. It's best to look out when its foggy in the morning, everything looks so ethereal, I love it! The owners are very nice as well. They did a great job at communicating clear instructions for our stay leading up to our vacation dates and provided the same for our check out date. We will definitely continue to come here for future vacations!

Summit House - this review is a long time coming... My wife and friends of ours have been going to this incredible place for several years. The seclusion, the accommodations, the views... Absolutely top notch. If you are looking for a truly wild, quiet and totally off the grid experience, look no further. The owners are literally some of the best people on the planet. Quick to respond and always going above and beyond to make our stay is special. Please don't pass this truly unique and special place up. You will have an amazingly calm and beautiful time away! If I could give 10 stars I would!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Cliff house. Very secluded, beautiful view. Beautiful snow to top it off. Never had any problems with our heat, power or water during our stay during the storm of the century. Definitely plan on comimg back !

Beautiful and unique views! There is nothing like it. My favorite cabin is The Summit House! The views of the stars are unbeatable. The owners are always very accommodating and go out of their way to make sure every guest has a 5-star experience. I highly recommend staying in any one of these four properties!

Beautiful house quaint, cozy and totally off the grid! Beautifully finished out on the inside and out with a hanging chair/bed outside that overlooks the hills and lake. I love the sound of the rain on the metal roof. There is no TV in the house, just you and nature.

Words can not describe the pure beauty of this place!! From the 20 min off-road drive up to the house itself; everything is spectacular! The view from the living room and swinging bed on the porch is amazing. So deep with outdoor richness and so incredibly peaceful. The cabin is new and has features of a 1M home in Dallas. Debbie and Andy are very easy to work with. We are excited about our next trip to the larger unit without guest. Can’t wait to show them this slice of heaven!

My friends stayed here a few months ago and I went up to visit them. The only good thing about it was the view. Wifi did not work, place was falling apart, generator ran 24/7, no cover on back deck, and terrible water preasure. Find another place to stay.

Staying at Phoenix Rising, it has a really good view and really good ratings, but there were downfalls. When we got here, the AC was completely off in 90⁰ weather, and the upstairs AC has a leak and was completely out of Freon making the upstairs unable to sleep or do anything without majorly sweating. Keep in mind it was 2 other people and a dog with me. We had to have someone come work on it during the weekend, even though two different groups before us had problems too. The owners tried to make it up and avoid being charged $250, and when none of their options we could do, due to other plans, they haven't reached out with a different idea even though they've said they would come up with one. There was also a wasp nest (not sure if it's still there) right outside the door on the top floor. Besides those downfalls, it's been a really good stay, and even saw deer right outside the house.

Great place to watch the perseids meteor shower. Fantastic view day and night. The stars amazing. Highly recommend. Great location and worth the drive from the road. This location is quiet and secluded meaning it is great for hiking.

Off grid. Amazing views. Drive isn't too bad. Need an SUV or a truck with some ground clearance. No TV or wifi (don't need it). Kids got to experience an old school vacation and they loved it!
