Purelight installed a solar system on our home this past year. At first things were great; nice sales team, prompt communication and installation, the works. The problem arises in the winter months. When the sale was pitched to us the rep said they would provide enough panels to match our historic energy consumption and the 1:1 metering credits would carry us through the winter months. He even went so far as to say that he designed the system with 12 panels but we could get away with 11 to lower the loan cost. We said no thanks, give us 12 - we don't want to have a deficit and wind up paying both our loan and a power bill, which is the whole point of doing this upgrade. "Replace your power bill for 0 down."Be warned! Purelight is more concerned with matching your power bill and lying to you about the amount of production they are guaranteeing. Our production guarantee, in retrospect, is for 70% of the kWh we consumed the year prior. So, we've had both the loan to pay and a bill from Pac Power for 6 months out of our first year with Purelight's solar system. The real shame is that we would have happily paid a higher amount up front to have a system that works as advertised! Unfortunately, Purelight comes out of the gate intent on lying to their customers to make a sale.Finally, when I reached out to them to explain my frustration and see about getting the system expanded to meet our actual demand they said they would have someone call me back. Perhaps unsurprisingly, no one did. I called to explain the situation two more times and received the same response: someone will call you back. It has been a month since my last call to Purelight and I have still received no response.To summarize, Purelight is concerned above all with making the sale and completing the installation regardless of the customer's actual real world needs. Once this process is complete, they are suddenly uninterested in working with the customer again. Buyer beware, and double check the math that the sales rep is giving you concerning your power demand.

I’m SUPER impressed with Purelight Power. They were fast and efficient, but mostly the PEOPLE went far and beyond my expectations. They re-roofed our home in 2 days! The crew was awesome, very kind men who were professional, fast and friendly. Cleaned up extremely well when completed. The solar panels went up quickly, even though it was snowing! Another very professional and friendly crew. Electrical went fast with no mess left behind.From sales to the final post installation meeting, Purelight Power employees were professional, friendly and always there when I had a question. I can’t give a higher recommendation!

We did not go with Purelight Power but our experience with the estimate situation was bad. Their sales people were friendly, but we had some bad experiences. Their sales people were constantly knocking on our doors even after we told them repeatedly we're not ready for solar. Once they provided an estimate, it was double what other providers gave. They told us other estimates were "too good to be true" and that we should question the trustworthiness of these other companies, despite the fact that the other companies have been around in Bend longer than they have and Purelight's estimate was the one that stuck out from the norm. The worst part is they're telling people that they'll replace people's roofs and that roof replacement counts toward the 30% federal clean energy tax credit. This is not true! From the IRS website "Is a roof eligible for the residential energy efficient property tax credit? In general, traditional roofing materials and structural components do not qualify for the credit. However, some solar roofing tiles and solar roofing shingles serve as solar electric collectors while also performing the function of traditional roofing, serving both the functions of solar electric generation and structural support and such items may qualify for the credit." Purelight's shingles are not solar roofing shingles so they don't qualify. If anyone is ever audited based on Purelight's advice, they're going to have a rough time. I would not recommend working with them.

I am beyond disappointed with my solar estimate. I explicitly stated up front that I would ONLY accept a line by line itemized proposal, which they LIED and said that they would provide, but did the exact opposite. They have trained the extremely high commission sales guys to focus instead on the tax credit, zero upfront cost and LOW initial payments. Then they balloon those payments extremely high to where the end cost for the consumer (in my case, $100,000). All while the sales guy smiles thinking about that big, fat sales commission. I have reported Purelight to every agency in an effort to expose the SCAM.

Dave, Brooks and the pure light team were awesome and easy to work with. It was an extremely quick turnaround from meeting with Brooks to getting our Solar installed. After diligent homework and three estimates we went with Purelight due to personal attention, equipment reviews, warranties, price, and straight forward information. Great company! Purelight Power made going solar super easy from the initial knock on the door for the quick assessment to pulling the trigger and saying let’s do this! The process was painless - everything that is needed is emailed. The timeline from committing to permitting to installation and finally to turning the solar on is relatively quick (permits are permits). Purelight had great communication with me throughout the process and when I did have a question they were easy to get a hold of to get an answer. I would recommend anyone thinking about going solar to contact Purelight Power!

Late writing this review yet simple put Purelight was exceptional to work with. Every phase from start to finish went as they explained. Brett G started me off and stayed n contact through process. I heard or read about problems with PAC Power hooking up my yet my system was up and running under 10 days of installation. PAC Power employee was great and even taught me how to read my meter. Don't do it it's a scam! It is very hard to get rebates. If you live on social security and don't have any taxable income you can't get a rebate from tax rebate.

No other company could possibly make transitioning to solar power any easier that PureLight Power. We barely had to do anything except sit back and watch it all come together. Awesome communication and partnership with PureLight and the customer. Area Manager Derek Jensen is a ROCK STAR! I'm serious... friendly, knowledgeable, available and personable. Derek was with us every step of the way. Office Team Jenn and Ashley are super friendly, polite and thoughtful with all the planning and coordination. The installers were careful and considerate of our home and cleanup. Had 24 panels installed in only five hours! Lastly, Cory Reece topped off the project with a great introduction to the apps, maintenance and overall customer experience. We LOVE our new solar panels and the clean energy we're producing. From Derek coming out and answering our hour’s worth of questions to all of the post installation, every step of the process has been great. The poor installers had to work in the rain and didn’t complain at all. All of the inspections checked out with no issues, and we are producing our own power with no money out of pocket. Could not be more pleased.
