Poor customer service. They receive packages for box owners but never put them in the self serve storage boxes. Forces customers to have to get their boxes during counter hours.They do not put Amazon boxes in POB's (even though mail has POB numbers on them) but make a huge pile in the back.Rude and dull employees

Absolute garbage service. This includes the Wedderburn branch. If I could give a lower rating, I would.Let start with delivery- The local post office won't even deliver to certain addresses in town because it's a dead end and they're too lazy to turn around.Let's go on to the office personnel- Your branch has no problem locking a PO Box ONE day after it's due, yet neglect to unlock it for FIVE days after payment is made. DO YOUR JOB, LIZ!Finally, Packages- I had a package returned because they said "It was never picked up, so they sent it back." Well guess what, I never got a notification that there was a package, you typical Curry County joke. More than likely, you put it in another PO Box by mistake like all of the other persons' mail I always get by your consistent mistakes. It's a letter, put it in the box it's supposed to be in! It's really not that difficult folks.If there was some way I could file a class action lawsuit against the USPS, specifically here in Gold Beach... I would Shane. Your agencies ability to serve, is beyond lost. I literally hate you folks, with a passion.USPS= Worthless FAIL.

I've been waiting 3 months for the PO to tell me where I must put my mailbox. They've lost my first application, then started returning my mail to senders, never told me about the little flag they will put where the mailbox is supposed to go, & never gave me a 'hold mail' form. 10 days after I filled out 2 new forms, _my neighbor_ gives me two letters & says mailman said my 'hold mail' form wasn't filled out right (I didn't tell them when to stop holding because I don't know when they'll tell me to put up my mailbox). I award one star because the workers I've interacted with have been polite, low key, friendly enough; and mail does get to this PO. I assume the incompetence I've experienced is just the new USPS policy, because the Brookings (nearest town) PO behaves the same way or worse. 😬[EDIT: I was told where to locate my mailbox 19 weeks--not quite 5 months--after I first asked.]

Friendly and helpful staff, and never been a line any time I used their services in the dozen times I've been here. They also receive-and-hold packages for you which is very handy when you are camping and can't receive deliveries so easily otherwise. Was able to send international, too, and they knew how to do all that easily.Lots of easy parking, and handicapped parking and easy doors with wide corridors.

Pros: They are friendly!Cons:No one answers the phone. When speaking with the desk clerk they say they're understaffed. The Post Office just had an open hiring event, and I know several people who applied but were rejected because they don't qualify. They apparently think answering the phone is a high impact of duties. If it were a private company there would be consequences. I called from my desk phone until the line timed out, then I would call from my cell phone, then back and forth. I called about 8 times for three minutes as it was- no answer. "Understaffed" Seems like they're understaffing on purpose.A bill we wrote a check for sat in our mailbox for two days without the carrier picking up the letter. We're now charged for two days of interest/late payment. There is a mailbox literally right next to ours that has daily services.Asked the clerk about if I needed a mailbox outside of my new house, or if I need a PO Box. The clerk took down my address, then said she didn't know. Carriers and Postmaster were out, so she couldn't tell me. She asked I came back in 4-5 hours when the Postmaster would be back from lunch. I asked if they (postmaster) would call me back, she said "That won't happen." I realize she was being honest but is this where the customer service level is at here?They should disconnect the phone lines to save some money.Wowsers though. Yikes. This is not okay. My mind was just blown at that.

Our company does a lot of business with the post office here in Gold Beach. There was a time that it was awful to have to go to the counter.I am happy to leave this five star review for the "new" post office Everyone is so friendly, and efficient.It all starts with leadership, Kait has an amazing customer service skills and a can do attitude.Thanks for turning things around.

This post office doesn’t ever answer the phone. The lady that’s behind the counter usually isn’t a good customer service representative. She’s always stressed unless she knows you personally. They do eventually deliver to your box. The good is they make a strong effort to get your packages to you even if they don’t fit in a P.O. Box.

Whilst on my bike trip along the coast, I picked up a GENERAL DELIVERY package. I had very pleasant and efficient service here. The clerk was also quite helpful as I was trying to decide how to mail out a package to my mom.The main window closes at 5 pm. However, the rest of the post office lobby stays open for the mailboxes 24 hours.

I had a package being shipped through dhl and dhl put my package in someone else’s box. The post office staff were very helpful and understanding and went above and beyond to help me. All I was expecting was for them to sign off that it hadn’t been delivered so that I could get a refund but the staff here actually found it in a completely different box, put there by dhl for some reason. I’m not sure what all these bad reviews are about because the staff here was and has always been very helpful and accommodating.

Absolutely wretched experience.We have an online business and shipped a high volume through USPS for over a decade. We travel a lot and have shipped from dozens and dozens of postal stations.When we wanted to ship an expensive registered package, the clerk (who turned out to be the interim postmaster) asked me "what's in it?" I said, "what do you mean 'what's in it'"? She replied that she had to "know what is in it" to be able to ship my parcel. I looked here squarely in the eye and asked her to show me where that rule is in the Domestic Mail Manual (the bible of postal regulations).The clerk then took on an incredibly nasty attitude, so badly that I took out my iphone and recorded the rest of our interaction. It took the lady 15 minutes to do what takes any other clerk 2 minutes.THEN- as she was sliding my insured package off the counter, she dropped it.Enough said- save yourself the stress and drive yourself across the river less than a mile to Wedderburn post office. It's a small, quaint, old fashioned post office with a cheerful attitude.

The people that work here are SO rude!!! They acted like I was disrupting them. I asked if they could print a label and they said they don’t do that and that it’s a small town. Guess I was under the impression that the US Postal Service was owned by the US not Gold Beach. I had to buy some card stock and make my own label. They also would not let me use their tape so I had to buy that too and a sharpie marker. INSANE!!! I overpaid too. I will be lucky to receive my packages. If you can avoid doing business here, go somewhere else. The employees were the worst!!

You think with a town so small you would really get better customer service. This post office is by the book on everything, there is no leniency at all. In the 2 years we have been here nothing really has changed especially The Long Haired lady! She is nice to some and rude to others! Not the way to do business!

Shipped a media mail package to an eBay customer at my local post office in Northern Kentucky. It was $7.95 to ship a box of DVDs.The Gold Beach Post Office refuses to give my customer her package unless she pays $32 in postage due. There isn’t any postage due!! They are trying to extort money and from what I have read in here it isn’t the first time.I have filed a complaint with the inspector general.What a joke of an establishment.

First off - you should be able to leave a zero star review.Because that's what this experience was.I ordered a pair of boots off of Amazon, they were supposed to deliver Friday the 18th. They never showed up.. I checked the tracking and sure enough it said the package was in Gold Beach. Didn't get delivered Saturday. I messaged Amazon about it on Monday when the package still had not arrived.. but the tracking had updated to show "delivery attempted, mailbox full." It's a pair of boots - obviously never going to fit in a mailbox. They should have been left at my door like the hundreds of other packages are. I explained to Amazon what happened and they contacted USPS themselves to ensure the package be left at my front door - not to try to fit it in a tiny mailbox. USPS confirmed it would be redelivered Tuesday. ..... Never showed. This morning (Wednesday, the 30th) I went in to the Post Office myself. The lady was beyond rude.I had printed out the tracking number and info.. I started with I am trying to find my missing package, it says it was attempted to be delivered but was not...B: Well it wasn't be I'm not the driver, I'm in here. C: I understand it wasn't personally you, I'm just trying to figure out what happened. B: well like I said I wasn't there.. C: ok anyway can you help me find my package? I hand her the tracking info.. B: she was like well how do I know it's your package? Where is your slip... C: The mailman did not leave one.. B: They should have... C: yes I'm aware of this, but they didn't. Do you want to see my ID? B: well yeah I'll have to. C: Ok here it isB: What is your address on the box? (still holding my ID)C: the same as my ID - I repeated it again anyway .. B: Ok I'll see if I can find it.She then comes out with the giant box, and says what happened was it showed up too late on Friday (Ok fair enough..) What about Saturday? No info on why it was not delivered Saturday. What about Monday? The truck was too full to take your extremely large box, this is a bit much to send in regular mail... Why did you scan in you tried to deliver it then? - The machine only gives us so many options ya know - No, no I don't know. Ok why wasn't it delivered on Tuesday?? Because you didn't reschedule the delivery. ..... by now I'm beyond irritated. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD I RESCHEDULE A DELIVERY THAT HASN'T EVEN BEEN ATTEMPTED?!?! You couldn't fit it on your truck one day so you just hold it until I'm magically supposed to know I need to schedule it? I ordered it, that was me scheduling it. She then gets snotty. I ask for a manager..B: Listen miss it's a super simple process, people do it all the time .. C: HOW?! Not everything you order sends you a tracking number, how would we even know to reschedule a delivery? B: Once a delivery is attempted and not successful, a new delivery must be scheduled. C: You just told me you never even attempted to deliver it, that was your only "option" on your machine. B: That's the way it works doll. C: So you're telling me you would have just held my package until the time limit and then sent it back?? - B: yes that's how that works. ..... I'll save you the rest because it was really not pleasant and I may have lost my temper. Never again. Next time I'll just request a refund from whomever I ordered from or a new order sent... via UPS or FEDEX.PS.. I made her name "B" - because she was one.

Waited 3months for an item, that was back ordered & delayed. Finally get notified my package would arrive 7/22. 7/23 find it arrived at gb post office and treated as dead mail...."was disposed of ". I put in change of address 7/2/21....for 7/17/21. Bills, cards, all sent to new address, but this package !!!Dead mail...what does that mean ???That was my property, and they, "disposed of it" ???? This whole postal system stinks.

It is hard for me to understand some of these reviews. We moved here to Gold Beach, and the personnel have been very kind and helpful. I understand they are understaffed so they are quite busy. But if you take the time to greet them, and treat them with kindness, then they are very kind and respectful. This is a small town. Take your time and be patient.

Mail and packages are often delivered to wrong address. It's ridiculous. I am constantly receiving mail that has been scribbled on by neighbors due to it being delivered to them. I am constantly chasing down mail and packages because the "informed app" says it has been delivered, but I didn't get it. PO Box is no better, as there have been several cases of stolen mail, and other horror stories.

Probably the worst USPS I've ever been to. Staff is rude and often short. Packages come up missing or never make it to destination. Short staffed lines are often long. Making customer service already harder then it needs to be.

I find it frustrating that they blame their long wait on staffing issues when they are visibly not hiring for help in the post office. (Checked online) pay an extra body please you're people need it.

Things dont get delivered until about 8PM, and packages are constantly delayed because they just sit there. They also refuse to deliver to my house because its "to hard to back out", even though fed-ex has no problems.

I don't know why this post office can't do thier job right. I have 3 packages that are out for delivery since last Thursday 1/12/23 and now it's 1/17/23 and still haven't received them.. one unhappy customer..

Very rude frontline gal. Basically grunted at me for requesting a PO Box. Upon providing all my documents, snarled at the facts that I had them and she couldn't deny my application. So unwelcoming. Please put friendly employees on the frontlines and the unfriendly in the back sorting.

The most pathetic excuse for a post office I’ve ever known of in my life. I literally paid to have a package intercepted and held here and they refused to release it to me saying that they are not a mail recepticle. No doubt that they are 100% scam artists. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Their federally paid for customer service is obscene. They never answer their phones, nor do they allow you to leave a voice mail.When you go up to the counter they act like you are intruding on them. Rude!Way overpaid (with benefits) for such horrific customer service.Maybe it is time to shut them down?

The employees are absolutely ridiculous and rude. The mail doesn’t get to my house until after 4 or 5 and sometimes things are sitting at the post office waiting to be delivered for days!

I haven't met one rude person yet! Sometimes we must self examine and ask ourselves, 'did I have an attitude that day's. I come in often and I am met with smiles and curtious treatment.
