Where we live our power goes out on a perfectly sunny day and sometimes it's for hours at a time. I called Jim and he was very considerate of our situation, and he quoted us a price which was very fair and scheduled the installation. I want to say, it was a rainy day when his crew showed up and they were still very professional and just had a good positive energy about them considering the weather. We recently had out power go out for 9 hours due to unforeseen reasons and my husband and I are just grateful we made the decision to purchase a generator. No worries of our food going bad, we could run water, (we are on a well), we had heat, and I was able to basically live normally. We would highly recommend Shumake Electric.

Thanks to Shumake Electric for installing a new Generec generator and a job well done. First off, Jim is an outstanding guy. Very nice gentleman upon meeting him for the first time. On the day of installation, his crew of three couldn't of been anymore respectful and courteous. Very well spoken, very clean, and extremely smart and answered any of my questions happily during the install. I found Jim thru my neighbors who held him to high regards. Shumake has a very good reputation and I can see why, and, he has to do the most generator installs of anyone around. Thanks again Jim and team for a job well done. A note on the generator itself. It's amazing the sense of relief and security you get after this thing is installed and live. Ours was installed right before Christmas 2022 when we got that horrible cold snap and winds, and the sense of relaxation it provided knowing if the power were to go out on Christmas, we would be kept warm and business as usual. Amazing investment if you can do this. We bought a Generac whole home generator from the and had them install it. I was not able to be home for it, but my wife was. She has only great things to say about the politeness, and professionalism of the crew that came. I have seen the install now and can say top notch job done. Just had them install a back up natural gas generator, service was excellent from initial evaluation to installation. They have an excellent skilled team that was knowledgeable and experienced. The installation crew was excellent and really seemed to care for the work they were performing. This was one of the only contractors that I have used in the past that cleaned up after the install. Would recommend them to anyone looking to protect their home in the event of a power outage. I can't say enough good things about the team from Shumake Electric! This morning they installed a Generac Generator. When they ran into challenges due to the property, they quickly came up with alternatives and we ended up with an installation even better than what was originally planned. The team was here on time and they were a great group of professionals. They even let the dog meet each and every one of them so she didn't bark the whole time they were here.I was shocked at how short the time was that we were without power. Working from home, my computer battery was still at half power by the time they were done.I highly recommend Shumake Electric. Had to turn off power to install all new wiring thru the roof, to the meter, thru the foundation to disconnect box to new service panel. This project turned into a bigger one, once Jim noticed there were multiple things out of code with my electric service. He was very courteous when he mentioned these other problems, but wanted me to know because of the safety concerns.
