He took care of all issues, and yes we did have an issue with the container delivery but great customer service is about what you do when there is an issue.I highly recommend.

From the day that Connor and Joshua knocked on our door until the completion of the supplemental insurance claim, everything went smoother than we ever would have expected. The process was thoroughly explained to us and we received guidance on how to handle any situation throughout the whole process. We did not expect a project of this size to go so smoothly from start to finish. We have already discussed this project with our friends and we give your company the highest recommendation. One of the most surprising parts of the transaction was the communication we received from your company about the supplemental insurance claim that needed to be handled. We had already approved payment from the finance company for the entire project and you had your money, but when we had questions, we still received a quick response. We appreciate everything your entire team did throughout this process. We feel we must also inform you that the subcontractor (La Bendicion Construction) you used could not have been better. They were polite and professional the entire time and we were very impressed with their efforts to complete the job in 1 day and they had to finish in the rain. They did an excellent clean up job and we have not had a single nail in our vehicle tires since they left. Kudos to your whole team including Connor Miller, Joshua Burgos, James Price, Harry Von Schmidt and Thomas Lizardo. Thanks to all the staff that we did not deal with directly but we know did an excellent job behind the scenes. Thanks again for everything!

I deeply regret ever conducting business with SmartRoof. The installation was just fine, but from my experience, they have major communication issues. They charge a premium price by offering a “premium service,” and I’m okay with this thought process. I’ve done many other projects with similarly-modeled businesses and they’ve all delivered on that promise of quality service. Not SmartRoof. Again, the installation was fine, but I wouldn’t expect them to go any bit out of their way to help you, even if they promise to do something “above and beyond” when you sign the contract. Their own website promises to “leave headaches behind” by dealing with contractors who “follow through on their promises.” Their words, not mine. Having done several roofing projects in prior homes, my experience says that you can get the same basic work that SmartRoof offers for a much more reasonable price. There isn’t anything “premium” about this company.Like many reviews before me have mentioned, their office is extremely difficult to get a hold of. I left voice messages, sent emails to multiple inboxes (including accounts receivable), and have yet to receive a response to any form of communication. The ONLY time I ever got a call from them was when I showed up on a report as having withheld a small portion of my final payment. After being promised follow-up communication in that instance, I have yet to receive the promised follow-up. The project manager whom I never met (Michael) apparently says he left me a message in response to one of those calls, yet nothing shows up on my phone records and they can’t provide proof on their end other than “his word.” Their accounting department (Michelle), which is the ONLY department I actually spoke to after the job was done, is very good at calling when money is due. She’s also very good at interrupting her customers and raising her voice to speak above them. She’s also a fantastic gatekeeper for the General Manager as I requested to speak with them on multiple instances but was always refused or diverted to someone like Michael, who never actually called me back.At the end of the day, I got tired of trying to have them follow through on what was initially promised, only to have them restart the berating process during the next billing cycle (again, their AR department is VERY good at calling when there’s a small amount withheld). After realizing nothing was ever going to progress, I finally gave them the amount I was withholding and summed it up to an error in judgment on my part. It was never about the money, it was about receiving the service that was originally promised to me, and what is still being promised on the home page of their website. They promised to submit a water damage claim to my insurance company and send pictures to show the water damage, yet they never did. To date, my insurance company has never received the pictures that were taken by the sales rep (Jesse), and they have never heard there were any water issues (different than the standard ‘wind damage’ claim that was assessed). Just the standard insurance claim and the standard delivery of work. My advice - get it cheaper elsewhere.

They said my roof would be done in one day! I believed them but still questioned it. I discovered that when you know what you’re doing, you do what you say! My roof was done in one day and looks beautiful! So glad that SmartRoof was the one to do my roof. Everyone along the way were very knowledgeable. Peter Marion was the Technician who came to my house to repair a few loose shingles. In addition Peter did a full look over of my roof and gutters and made a few adjustments to improve the water flow off my roof. I feel Peter did an outstanding job on my roof and went above and beyond what the service call was about. All the SmartRoof guys were great. They inspected my roof for damage after a heavy hail storm. The roof needed to be replaced. They spoke to my insurance company to get the claim approved. And they coordinated everything from there.They were very professional. All the area around my house was respectfully protected during the work, which was important to us. Our site supervisor was Theodore. He was outstanding. He even came back one more time the next morning after the job was complete, simply to inspect everything and make sure we were satisfied with everything. Excellent work on his part.The entire job was done efficiently. The dumpster was delivered one day. The roof was replaced over the next two days. The work was inspected. We were very happy with the entire smartroof process from start to finish. Our project consisted of new roof, siding, gutters with guards and downspouts. Tom advocated on our behalf with our insurance company to thoroughly show and document all the damages to our home. The designer was professional and accessible. He was able to walk us through the entire project, all the material options and produce a plethora of renderings for us to choose from. The SmartRoof company team stayed in touch with me all the way from the initial contact till the end of the project. Company representatives worked with me from the moment they documented and filed initial claim with my home insurance. They met with me to present available roofing options and guided me through the entire process helping me select best materials etc. Once the project date was scheduled their project crew arrived early, protected surrounding area and immediately started working on my house roof. They worked diligently and accurately. After work they cleaned up the area completely before they left. All was handled in a very professional manner and was supervised by their team leader and the project manager who kept me updated on progress throughout the day. The next day the manager did a final inspection of work and double checked the area with the magnet sweeper for any nails that might have been missed during initial cleanup. He also documented the final work to submit it later to my home insurance company for payment. Overall it was a very good experience and stress free. SmartRoof team members know their job and are good at whatever they are assigned to do. They are responsive and make sure that customer is happy. There were no surprises and the final bill was exactly as it was estimated on the first day. I highly recommend their services if you are in need of a roof work or possibly looking for a green energy solution.

The company helped me with the insurance company and did a good job installing my roof . However, they were difficult to get a hold of on open issues and the final punch list of items, which has left a bad taste in my mouth. They promised they would get a vendor to quote me a price to refinish around my skylight, but never did. I signed off on the project, because the skylight refinishing was supposed to be a change order, but then they just went into demanding the money mode and never sent the person out for the quote.This is an update to the original post above. They did the fix for free, although it took a little while, so I upgraded them to a 4. They are a quality company who meets the original objectives, but are very busy and sometimes hard to get a hold of to get things completed, although they make it right in the end!Services: Skylight installation, Roof installation

Probably one of the worst contractors I've seen. They basically chase insurance claims and use cheap unskilled labor to do the work with no supervision. My roof was done 2.5 times. The first time they neglected to do the edge drip and flashing and the second time they neglected to the flashing. The 2nd roof had to be >50% patched due to improperly installed shingles and flashing. On top of it all the gutter guards were destroyed, and a pipe boot was missing a pipe on top causing an open hole to my roof. As of a week ago I found a leak in my roof around an exhaust cap. It seems to never end and for this they charged $45k mainly to insurance....seems like fraud to me.
