Novak Home Improvements were profession and fair from start to finish. The quality of the work is as if I had done it myself. From the proposal to the installation and billing, every person rated a 10 in my opinion. I have owned a service business for over 30 years, and employed hundreds of employees, and I know how difficult it can be to have the best people in these positions. I wouldn’t normally respond to a survey, but in this case I had to. I have now used their services twice and would absolutely use them again when needed.

Our home looks amazing. The crew that came out to help was so polite and kept me informed of everything happening. The only gripe I have is with the communication. Please just let your customers know at least an approximate date. We had no idea when work was to be happening.

Novak Home Improvements had done roof work for me at a previous home and the quality of work, professionalism and efficiency then brought them to mind when I needed a new porch roof at my new home. Novak delivered, above and beyond my expectations. The estimate and roofing choice was friendly, low pressure and really focused on the existing aesthetic of my home. They were patient with us during the pandemic as we navigated a refi, and kept their quoted price despite a delay that was out of our hands; and greatly appreciated.Their crew got delayed due to high winds, and they asked my permission to start later due to that, which I appreciated and gave them my permission to stay safe. I wouldn't want to be on my roof on a good day, and definitely not on a windy day.The process took a little longer than I expected, but that's not a negative, it's just a reality due to late February weather conditions. Despite the weather, Novak delivered on their promise, and I know that I'll have a roof that I can trust for years to come.Great install. Fantastic installers. And a clean job site. We are very happy with the work done on our roof and garage. The workers were prompt and did an overall good job w/ clean up. They arrived promptly at 7:30am and finished by 3:30pm. The clean up was good out front, but could've been a bit better in driveway and backyard. I found several nails in our driveway as well as our back yard. We would definately recommend Novak roofing to family/friends.

Novak Home Improvements did a beautiful job on my roof. They used Atlas shingles which are in my opinion after researching shingles the best. They have a great warranty. We are very pleased and the roof looks like a piece of artwork. I never realized a roof could be so beautiful. Novak cleaned up after installation and during installation had covered up all of my shrubbery near the house. We highly recommend Novak .

We had hail damage and wanted a local company who would stand behind their work. We called Novak and they responded quickly and gave us an estimate within a day. Ed and Tina were a pleasure to work with. We were unsure about the best color for the shingles, so Tina gave us some local locations with the colors we were thinking about. We were able to narrow down the colors. Then they even came to the house and brought four different packs of shingles and laid them out on the roof to see the comparison with the brick. If they hadn’t done that, we would have picked the wrong color. The job was done at a very competitive price, and the crew was professional, friendly and easy to work with. Had my initial roof done 25 years ago by Novak, and it was still fine until Hurricane Sandy hit. Novak Home Improvements replaced the roof and did a terrific job. The owner was very professional, the workers were friendly, and worked hard to get my roof done in 2 days. They helped me through the process when deciding on the right color. (I changed my mind 3 times! LOL!) I have a large roof and a garage and I was impressed at the quality and appearance of the finished product.

8/2022 I called this company to give me a roof quote for a project that I wanted to subcontract. They were very responsive and professional. My customer and I haven't made a decision yet on who we should go with but they rank high, mostly because of the simple fact that they responded in a timely manner and provided an estimate within a week. Only 2 of 5 companies have followed through.

This company has been an absolute nightmare to work with. I contracted them over a year ago to remove and install a new roof and gutters. They sold me hopes and dreams regarding their warranties and workmanship but as soon as they were paid in full (before all the work was completed correctly) they simply will not return to complete the job. I even had to have someone else do the gutter installation for me. I have 14 pages of emails containing photos to documents our correspondence regarding the workmanship and clear visible defects in the roof which they have acknowledged but have yet to repair. From the two individuals who put their feet through my BRAND NEW CEILING IN TWO SEPERATE ROOMS to the flat roof in the back of my home that has several waves and wrinkles in it, this has been one of the most disheartening renovation experiences EVER!Services: Gutter repairs, Gutter installation, Roof repair, Roof installation

I had Novak's replace my roof on a rental property I owned. They did a fantastic job. All staff and workers were professional and they got the job done clean and quick! The owner took the time to educate me on different shingle types and which would work best with my roof. I will be using Novak Home Improvement for any future home repairs!

They did my garage roof a few years back and did excellent work. They also just completed some outside painting and did excellent work as well. Prompt response from the Salesman at Novak to come to our house and provide an estimate. He answered all of our questions and was quick to send us an estimate. The team arrived at our house at 7am to work on the roof and stayed until 7pm until the job was done. They put drop cloths around the house and cleaned up after the job was done. We are very happy with our new roof and the job that was done.

I don't know who these people are that left some of these reviews but my family has been using Novak Home Improvements for years. They have always been professional and courteous. I most recently had them do my roof, gutters, downspouts, and siding. These guys are great to deal with. They have specialized crews. They did my roof first. One of their roofing crews came out and did my home in one day and had it done before I got home from work. They had a specialized siding crew come out a few days later and installed an insulated vinyl siding (my home is turn of the century and does not have much, if any, insulation). By the way, wow...the insulated siding has drastically helped in both the winter as well as the summer. They wrapped all of the wood around my windows and doors that required painting every few years. Everything was sealed (no more bees making nests). They installed new shutters as well. Then they installed seamless gutters and downspouts. No more leaking seams. No more gutter spikes to loosen up. The job turned out absolutely phenomenal. Every one of their employees that I have dealt with were very cordial. The job was completed very quickly. The cost was as quoted. I would recommend and have recommended this company to anyone who is looking for high quality work at a fair price. Thank you Novak Home Improvements.

Let me start by saying that this is the first time I've ever reviewed a company online. I am very easy to work with and takes a ton to get me frustrated to the point that I am with this company. I hired Novak to repair my house after hail damage when one of their representatives came to our door after the big hail storm in the Reading area in 2014. At first they were very good and started strong; however, as the project continued and after they had most of their money it has become evident that they no longer give a crap about their customers and finishing the job. At least 3 times now I have taken off of work to meet a Novak guy at my house first thing in the morning only to have them show up at least an hour late...which seemed like no big deal to them with the answer each time being "I was in traffic". Everyone knows that there is traffic from Bethlehem to Reading in the morning...maybe you should leave a little earlier. On multiple occasions they came without everything they needed to finish the job and it is obvious that the communication it terrible from one guy who comes out to the next. When you email them at their general company email address...if the girl who normally receives those emails is out on vacation or not available for any reason...those emails just sit there and are ignored....they don't get forwarded to anyone else and no one checks them. While they did my siding...they absolutely butchered a tree by breaking off branches (not cutting...just breaking) without checking with us. I could go on but that is enough. So if you are looking for a company who will start off fast... I guess they are fine but if you want a company who will do what they say at the end, finish up the job and actually give a crap about their customers time...do yourself a favor and look for another company.

I called this company to repair a crease in my ceiling because I heard so many good things about them! They came out to look and told me no because they couldn’t guarantee that the ceiling wouldn’t crack again. I said ok I trust you on that. Can you also give me an estimate on redoing my kitchen cabinets and new countertops and backsplash. He took measurements and said just have home depot measure as well and I’ll come do the work. The next day he calls and says I met with our office managers and we can’t do your job!! Why? We don’t feel we can do the best job! I thought you did kitchens? I wonder if they turned the job down because they just didn’t like how we looked?? I certainly would NOT recommend this company that states in their ad and from other customers they do kitchens but then tells us they don’t feel comfortable!! What!!

They are Working in my development replacing every roof. Probably a huge job for them. and it is currently 7:30 on a Saturday and they are ripping the roof off next door. I am not sure if they are aware that on weekends people sleep in. My development allows home improvements between 10am and 10pm. You would think on a huge job they would figure that out before waking up at least 10 plus households on a saturday morning. They also broke the light on the outside of the unit and dropped a shingle through a screen, while throwing the old shingles off

I, too, was approached regarding the hail storm and was lucky enough to have the majority of my roof and siding replaced and paid for by my homeowners insurance. I received a quote in May of 2015 and approved the work. It took weeks for them to show up for the roof work onLY after continuous follow up by me as to when they would start the work. In July, I received a final invoice and completion of work notice BUT the work was not done. They never came back to do the siding, shutters and gutters. They didn't show up until the end of august to finish the job and with no notice they were even coming. Also there was some work that the insurance company would not pay for but the township required. I had received a notice from my current homeowners insurance that I needed to provide them with proof the roof was replaced or I would be dropped at the end of the contract year (which I was because they wouldnt provide me with the documentation I kept requesting).From the time the work was completed up until November I called continuously requesting an itemized invoice of the work and what was owed and paid so I could supply that to my insurance company. After never receiving the paperwork I finally gave up. I tried numerous times to pay what I owed but did not have a final invoice of that. Now, it's the end of march and they have the nerve to contact me that they will be coming to my house to pick up a check. They were paid almost completely in full (over $4500) at the beginning of the job except for my $500 deductible. I was not able to return their call about coming for payment so they called me the very next day threatening me. I'm floored at this behavior since I tried for months to make final payment and that THEY let this go for so long. When I finally called them back I asked why this has taken so long I was told they just have so many files and they are just now getting back to me. Seriously? SO once again I asked for an itemized bill and they have basically refused. Today I receive a letter in the mail stating the amount of the job and what was paid...that's their idea of itemization. On the letter it says I have basically a week to pay in full or they are going to the magistrate to put a lien against my property. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The way they do business is a disgrace! Their behavior in this matter just makes me think they are in financial trouble. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Novak initially installed my synthetic slate incorrectly. After a year's time and contacting the better business bureau the roof was replaced. This issue has been resolved.
