CHEAP builder grade finishes. House took forever to be completed. Our house was purchased well before others that were finished before ours was. One month weeks went by before any further work was done.Builder's wife was the designer and ordered finishes, cabinets, floors, etc. She always advised me of any additional charges for everything I ordered. However we decided to not go with the carpet that was included and opted for laminate flooring instead. I asked if we had to order the flooring from "their" chosen vendor and she said, yes we did.We found out at closing they charged us $16,000 for a laminate floor. Not once did she inform me of the extra cost.As we had already signed the contract we couldn't take them to Court.I was very unhappy as to how we were treated by Reen homes, but especially by the builder John and his wife Donna.
