He was very timely in responding with a quote and within 2 weeks I had my new roof installed. They completed the project in one day and it looks very nice and professionally done. It was a pleasure working with them and I'm considering them for future work.Realized later on that I didn't have a signed copy of the final paperwork. They have been promising to send it for months and I haven't received it. My homeowners insurance is threatening to cancel my policy because I don't have proof of the work completed.Service: Roof installation

STAY AWAY! Will take your money and you’ll never hear from him. If I could leave NEGATIVE stars I would. Tim the owner took our money 6 months ago for siding and a new roof. He then halfass did the roof and caused rain to pour into our house and cause many many damages and expenses. That is still not totallly fixed. Promised to fix and pay for it all including the repairs due to their mistakes. Never did. Then ghosted us while still having our money to this very day for the siding half the job. And the siding project he started but is still sitting not even half finished for 6 months. He has blocked my number and has not responded to my calls or messages. Save yourself the time and court filing fees as we now have to take him to court

He wanted to visit me in AL. He then paid one way ticket to come. He conned me into paying one way ticket back and said he would pay me back. Never did. Scam on something less than $200 then he’d scam anyone. Run! Said he wanted a new name business called Perigon, or similar name. I guess it’s because he’s been charged with thief under H&F construction and want to run from being a con artist. Don’t waste your time or money with this so-called construction man.

From the very first phone call Tim was here immediately to give an estimate for a new roof. He offered suggestions and explained his work. The estimate was far lower than I expected and was delighted that he was able to do my entire roof replacement within a week of the estimate. He even threw in a free gutter cleaning ! I never felt pressure to upgrade or do add-ons He made me feel like I was more important than his bottom line . He maintained excellent communication with me and always answered my questions promptly. His crew was also courteous and helpful. I also had a new shower door installed and it looks great. It's a scam, the place is gone, Timothy James Hoffman (I.E. TJ Hoffman, Tim Hoffman, Timothy j Hoffman born 11/3/1972) is a scam artist to the finest. He is currently on bail and owes myself 3500 dollars. You can pull him up on PA docket to see all the scams he has done up to this date. He indiscriminately picks both individuals and small businesses, and steals their money.

I contacted H&F for an estimate for a roof replacement. Tim was very responsive. He did a great job explaining options and was wonderful with his follow up communication.His crew was hard working, professional, and very polite. Their work was very high quality. They did an incredible job protecting my wife flower beds and shrubbery. I was very pleased with how well they cleaned up after the job was finished.I had replaced this roof twice myself during the past 35 years, so it was tough handing the job off to someone else. We sadly have been trying for nearly 10 months to wait for the completion of a roofing project. We mad prompt payment and foolishly paid even more money upon request. We have been going back and forth for months with promises of them returning- with no actual work done. I really had hope that Tim was a man of his word but now I am disappointed and left paying thousands of dollars for work that has not been completed. Do yourself a favor go with any other company. Tim and his crew were incredible. They did the whole roof in one day. I was expecting to have to clean up after they were done but they took care of everything. They even cleaned my gutters while they were here. I will definitely use them again. They’re also going to give me a quote replacement windows for me in the spring. This is by far the worst contractor I ever encountered! Took money and ran !! Didn't complete project! Excuses all the time! Won't return phone calls! Didn't pick up debris they torn down! Complete mess! Crackec wood on new porch already! Highly don't recommend!! No Dee no constant contact at all, the only reason you called back is because I told you we wanted money back!! Your crew person/ or 2 people show up for 3 hours and leave. Show up here and there, never tell us when someone might show up, I had to call all the time to find out progress!! No way to run a business!! I am not the first person to say this I dug deeper and got some really upsetting reviews! We actually had to drive to your umm business to find out when someone was coming to finish a half constucted porch!! SO NO THERE WAS NO CONSTANT CONTACT!! If there was it was the customer calling you and maybe just maybe 2,3,4 days later someone might call us back. But usually not!! Never answer the phone, Tim never did!! Laughable!! Don't whitewash this!! And the only reason the project manager was here on Monday was because we once again had to call the company because the project was not done properly! He had no intention of working Monday! And we are continually asking for the contract Tim promised us the day he got hired and still NO CONTRACT!!

I'm delighted to write a review for H&F Family Contracting. A veritable army of excellent gentlemen appeared to do substantial replacement and repair work on my ancient leaking roof. They were courteous, clean--and they worked very hard. Maintaining an old farmhouse--built 1880--is something of a labor of love. But it helps greatly to have truly responsive, reasonably priced, local professionals ready to do it. I would certainly recommend them to my neighbors. Indeed, I already have.
