A tree fell on the back of our home two days before Christmas during a windstorm. They were very fast at coming to patch the holes in our metal roof (there was ice, snow and rain) after the tree was removed. Once the actual work began everything was done in a timely manner, and any questions I had were promptly answered. I am a very picky person with cleanliness, and after they wrapped up all the work they cleaned everything up, and then some! Much to my surprise they cleaned all the branches from the front of the roof that were stuck on the snow caps and the front gutters, and also swept up the driveway. The wood stain on our stairs and hallway match our existing wood flooring perfectly.. Everyone was friendly, efficient and cleaned the work areas at the end of each work day. After a car hit my home, I had no clue where to even start. I contacted Mihalkos and immediately, I had an adjuster who was so knowledgeable and helpful walk me through the estimate process and even with insurance procedures that I found confusing. Once the contract was signed, we had our subcontractors at the house working. They were so friendly and non-intrusive. The work was done unbelievably quick and looks beautiful. These guys did an amazing job. Very courteous and professional. Response time is within minutes with a text. The gentlemen that put on our new siding went above and beyond what I expected. They even took the time to repair a broken step on the porch. I cannot say enough good things about this company and their employees. Mihalko's was scheduled through Choice Home Warranty for a roof leak. Technician came out, and immediately asked for the service call fee. I described the problem to him and told him what the warranty company would and would not cover. He said he understood and took some pictures from inside. He never even looked at the outside to where the leak would be entering. The technician told me what he going to submitted to Choice. However, Mihalko's then submitted an estimate differing from what he told me, and mentioned a non-covered item, so Choice Home Warranty denied the entire claim. Mihalko's didn't even contact me after the technician left.Absolutely do not recommend!Service: Roof repair

We had a pipe burst in our upstairs bathroom and come down into our kitchen. We needed new flooring in bathroom and kitchen, new drywall in kitchen ceiling, crown moulding in the kitchen, and new back screen door and door. Everything was done cheap and unprofessional my floor isn't level because they never removed all of old flooring, they mismatched crown moulding and cracked the new drywall ceiling and never fixed it. When installing the back door they broke the frame and drywall and replaced it with cheap piece of wood. When I complained they said the new flooring is able to flex and not break from being unlevel and didn't want to repair any of the mistakes. I assume they have a deal with my insurance company (that's who referred us to them) because they charged state farm like 400 for kitchen floor and dining room floor was denied by insurance company so I asked for an estimate to put the same flooring in there and the estimate was almost 2000.Services: General construction, Install flooring, Paint indoors, Painting, Flooring

If I could give this firm a zero it wouldn't be low enough. 7 1/2 yrs ago they built a deck with railings on our house for a whopping $6500. The contract read treated lumber. They did not use treated lumber for severe weather conditions plus the installation was not done correctly. The floor was installed with alternating short and long planks (instead of planks of the same length) and sloped towards the middle of the deck with water accumulating and causing further damage.Stay as far away as possible from this construction company!Service: Deck construction

Seeing the commercials on TV, I figured this place would have offered excellent service. I called and asked for an estimate, and Aaron came out, looked at my project, and said he'd have to talk to his site foreman and get back to me with a quote in about a week. Three weeks later, he left a message saying he'd drop off a quote later in the week. I called FOUR times over the course of the next 6 weeks. Each time, the person who answered apologized, but Aaron never called back or gave me a quote. Such a shame, because had they done a good job on my smaller project, I would have considered them for a 2-car garage/bedroom/bathroom addition and a kitchen remodel.

On Tuesday Oct. 30 2012 I contacted Mihalko's to get an estimate for damage done by hurricane Sandy. I left a message and someone called me back pretty promptly. They said they would have someone come out that day to take a look and do the estimate.Later that afternoon Wayne and a young lady showed up at our house. I showed them the damage and we discussed a few things. he took a bunch of pictures of the damage and said they would get back to me with an estimate. I asked how long it would take to get the estimate back... he said that they have been pretty busy that day due to others having storm damage and that it would likely be a few days. But since it should be a pretty easy estimate to write up, it shouldn't take long. He asked for my email address so that he could just email me the estimate.Today is now Nov. 8th and I have not heard a single thing back from the company. No email, no estimate not even a phone call.I read the reviews that others said about them and was looking forward to having worked completed by them. I guess the work I needed done was too small for them or something.This is a terrible way to treat potential customers and I will be sure to tell everyone I know about this experience and recommend that they not waste their time. I understand they were busy, but common sense should have told them to at least call me and say "Hey, sorry about the delay but we will have that too you very soon." had they done that, I would have been pleased.

We had a lifetime waterproof warrantyinstalled to prevent water in the basement. We are now getting water in the cellar because the water pit needs repaired. They did this one time and said it was covered under the warranty. They are now stating it is a maintainceissue and refuse to do anything about it. I can't in good conscience recommend this company to anyone !!

Damaged cabinets, installed plumbing incorrectly, sells poor quality brands, used yellow grout around a white tub, etc. If the home owner does not micromanage them they will do cheap quick work.
