I would never work with Servpro of West Chester again. I rarely if ever write reviews, but I wish I had known what I was getting into. We were pitched a plan at our lowest point of just having our basement, half bath, and hall destroyed. We didn’t feel super comfortable with what was pitched but asked questions and just wanted to start drying things out. They didn’t want to demo anything or take anything out (including our carpet that was in inches of water) which is why we were hesitant because we had water pouring from our ceiling and soaked our floor. Instead of communicating with us the change in plans as the weekend progressed, we were left in the dark and never told the mat under the carpet wasn’t coming out now though that was part of the original plan. Our key was supposed to be in a black box at our home that did not occur. Plastic was not covering our floors as the equipment was hauled in and out as well as dirty boots stepped all over our carpet. For 3 days, fans blew and nothing was communicated to us on next steps. The project manager was AWFUL. My adjuster was not perfect, but I wasn’t communicated with either from the team though they apparently stopped at my house over the weekend. There was a lot of back tracking when questioned on what was actually getting done once the mold window closed. Needless to say, more things got ruined by not being moved off the floor and ended up growing mold. Our invoice never came to us. It went to our insurance company which was fine, but our adjuster issued us the check since they were not a preferred vendor; however, the invoice never came to me until today, months after the work and it not being paid. I only got the checks last week. There were no notes in our file that said our issues though we well documented it with the crew when they left. When I questioned this bill in comparison to the actual remediation work completed by a separate Servpro, I didn’t get an answer on why it matched the cost of what we expected to be done when the other company did full demo/haul away/ etc. they also took out the carpet and mat. The mat was soaking wet when the new team took it out too. Instead of being cordial or letting me have time with the detailed invoice that I had to request and received today, I was told I had 30 days to pay it or a lien would be issued on my property so get an invoice that day and now a lien threat is made so needless to say all trust in this company was lost. Their bill was padded and claiming 39 fans which the space is 400 sq feet. All in all horrible experience and a lot of upfront lies with a bill for I still don’t know what outside of fans and someone spending 5 minutes to check on it. Horrible experience, rude project managers who quite frankly do not do well talking to customers.Services: Flood restoration, Water removal, Mold mitigation

Terrible service. Did not keep appointments. When I called for the fourth time, woman who answered phone was rude. The actual person responsible for coming out, Kenny insisted he called several times when he DID NOT. Could have just said they were not able to respond. Instead wasted my time for days with nonsense.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! If you are in the need for a REPUTABLE restoration company move on from this company. They DO NOT carry the proper Business Insurance to cover their employees in your home!We hired them for a very sad, difficult situation, a bio-hazard clean up, which was handled so poorly. Not only was the cleanup handled improperly there was also a valuable piece of jewelry missing. The company did not take responsibility for the actions of their employees nor did they have the proper insurance to handle the theft. I have been waiting since October 2022 for the owner, Kevin Jones, to return my numerous calls to discuss the situation…still no call back.Please, do not use this company. Your home and valuables are at risk.

I talked with Nikole, who was extremely professional and compassionate, walking me through the process and giving me a direct phone number to call to reach her. I discovered mold in my basement. I was concerned for my families safety. Kevin Jones came to my property and discussed my options with me and began the work the same week. The entire crew that was here was wonderful. Both Jason and Tristan were knowledgeable and careful of my property. They discussed the best course of action with my lost possessions and even played with my dog. I spoke with Lisa in the office and she was so kind and knew how to help me with paperwork and insurance. SERVPRO of West Chester recently provided a major cleaning service to remove pet odor and do a deep clean of a house to prepare it for sale. The odor had been overpowering, but after the cleaning it was all but gone after a few days. And the rest of the house (which hadn't been cleaned for far too long) looked great! Danielle was my main point of contact. She provided first-rate service from our initial phone call through giving me a realistic estimate. During the actual work, she provided multiple updates and photos of before and after. I live in Virginia, so her extra-special care was appreciated and kept me fully involved! We had a major issue with a pipe on a second floor hot water heater that burst. Water was running at full force for over four hours before the leak was identified. The Servpro Team of West Chester were there in what seemed like minutes upon the call to them and immediately started and worked non-stop into the evening. Jason and the crew Cleaned up and then set-up all the equipment on both floors to remediate all the water damage that was done and stayed in place until everything was dry, checked and tested for dryness.Danielle and her team were super and very professional and explained the process from start to finish. Also I was most impressed when the owner came out on the second day and went over the entire situation reviewing the damage with us.Danielle was very sympathetic to our loss and in a compassionate way calmed some shattered nerves with something as devastating as this. Iwe had our our entire house of furniture in storage for almost 5 yrs. This included many sentimental antiques. When the furniture was removed every piece was covered with mold. SERVPRO responded very quickly to my problem. They treated our belongings with care. They also were very understanding of our emotional response to the situation. Felix & Joe worked extremely hard for two 8+ hour days . Then Felix and another co worker spent the third day finishing up. Maria was was the point person. She also was very understanding. The work was done very efficiently. All the workers were very respectful. The whole experience was as positive as it could be.

We were doing some upgrades to our upstairs bathroom when an unforeseen leak from the bathtub came down through the kitchen ceiling. I called ServPro in West Chester and they scheduled an appointment to remediate the water damage in the kitchen. The two technicians, Tristan & Mike, came out and installed the dehumidifier and air fans to insure there would not be hidden moisture in the ceiling that might turn to mold. They were courteous and professional. The next day Dan came to our house to verify that the equipment was performing properly. It was. A couple days later Mike returned to verify the drying process and remove the equipment. My 50 gallon hot water heater emptied it's contents all over my guest room, dining room, kitchen, foyer, and bathroom while I was away. I couldn't believe the mess I faced when I opened my door. I called Servpro. They responded in a very timely manner. The wet carpet, padding, soaked laminate flooring, along with contents were removed. Fans and dehumidifiers were used to dry out my home before and more damage occurred. I was impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the staff. Using Servpro for their 24/7 services is like going to the ER. It’s a lifeline when you need it, but you have no idea what the financial impact will be after services are rendered. Costs were NOT transparent to the customer making it nearly impossible to make informed decisions that can have big future repercussions.The final invoice was 200% more than the verbal "ballpark estimate" provided on the first visit. As a result nearly all of my coverage limit was spent just for cleanup leaving little for renovation to put my basement back “as though it never happened.”I had a good experience with Servpro while my basement cleanup was ongoing. They did a good job. But I wouldn't give my endorsement until Servpro starts providing more transparent pricing information to customers up front to help them make fully informed decisions.I'd suggest looking at other water cleanup companies.Service: Water damage-related cleanup & repair
