Will Kenny (Inc), his employees, and his hand-picked sub-contractors took on the very difficult task of converting 2/3rds of a 30 foot cement (basement) workshop into a beautiful and cozy bedroom with 2 closets. The work required: installing studs, drywall, door and window framing, trim, electrical wiring (for ceiling lights and outlets), insulation, and a drop ceiling. , replacing a window with an access/egress window, and (in adjacent living area) a beautiful 'bay' window. All of his workers and sub-contractors were well-skilled, efficient, respectful, and cleaned up well after every day's work.Since Will Kenny was the one who supervised this job, we have to say he had incredible insight. He kept expenses reasonable but balanced that by going out of his way to make this project look right. Two incidences:- The rest of the level of this home had simple but beautiful Maple trim. We asked that this wood be used for the new bedroom. He was apologetic in telling us the price of Maple had skyrocketed. We were disappointed but appreciated his keeping this project's financing reasonable. Two weeks before trim was to be installed, Will -- who had obviously been watching the costs of trim -- surprised us by saying: "I got you your Maple trim!" He explained that the price had gone down significantly and would only cost a bit more than the standard trim! We were ecstatic and appreciative.- Doors - Will had noted that all the rest of the doors in this part of our home were "five panel" doors. He suggested that though they were rare, he would try to find them for us. At first we thought this was not of concern to us, but once the "five panel doors" were installed, we realized how well they fit in with the best of our home.We conclude that this project turned out to be as good as it could possibly be!Mike and Barb

We had an extremely disappointing experience with this contractor. Their lack of punctuality for the project was beyond frustrating. Not only were they consistently late for the proposed timeline, but their efficiency was also shockingly poor. It seemed like every task took them much longer than necessary.To top it off, they increased the price of the project without any valid explanation or prior notice. It felt like a complete bait-and-switch tactic. This kind of unprofessional behavior is unacceptable, and I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of hiring this contractor for any project. It was a regrettable and frustrating experience from start to finish.

Will Kenny did a fantastic job remodeling our kitchen and powder room as well as painting 19 interior doors which were stained wood. He made many excellent suggestions as we were planning the project and he is very detail oriented and personally did a fantastic job installing the tile wall in the powder room and backsplash. All aspects of the remodel were coordinated with the subcontractors and completed in a very professional and timely manner. Will Kenny Construction was recommended by the realtor who was listing my client’s home for sale. During the walk-through of the home, Will was professional and respectful. He made appropriate recommendations, keeping overall cost in mind. The project included stripping wallpaper, interior and exterior painting, roof work, patching walls, cleaning carpets, etc... everything to give the home a fresh look. While it took a bit longer than expected to receive the estimate, once received, it was clear he took the time necessary to provide a clear and detailed estimate. In fact, it was the most detailed estimate I have received from a contractor. While the estimate was a little higher than others received, we felt comfortable hiring Will because of the detail he provided. We didn't regret it, because everything went according to our timeline and the house looked great! Will communicated with us throughout the project, answered our inquiries in a timely fashion, and when the final invoice was received, it was in line with what we expected (no surprises). Once was for a huge project replacing a large skylight (which we learned had been leaking for years) with a clerestory, then re-roofing the entire roof. Another time was a long list of repairs of varying types/sizes. My new kitchen is more than I expected. From start to finish Kenny handled all details. Everything was handled in a orderly fashion and although it took a few days longer than estimated it was not due to any fall downs on Will's end. More electrical work was needed to take care of all the renovations and to upgrade the electrical problems that were present from the original construction. Walls were removed, appliances relocated and plumbing moved. A pot filler was installed and gas lines were run to convert from electric to gas stove. Cabinets were custom made, red oak hardwood floors installed and finished in place. I am totally satisfied with the end result and highly recommend Mr. Kenny. Will has a terrific group that works for him and they make every effort to meet all your demands. He is great to work with and his years of experience affords him the ability to make great suggestions.

Will Kenny is an extremely conscientious and experienced contractor who is also very easy to work with. He has helped us with numerous improvements to our 4-bedroom home over the years, including a new kitchen/sunroom, raising the floor of our family room, handling, door replacement, wall repair and painting for much of the rest of our home, and completely redoing our basement when we had an unexpected mold problem from unsuspected cracked seals around the windows which had allowed water to seep into the drywall. His subcontractors have done excellent work in accordance with his plans, and his apprentices have been uniformly hardworking and conscientious. Will has also tried to save us money, by making recommendations that met our need in creative ways that we hadn’t thought of. At times, he has also offered ideas which improved on our original vision, which, though they cost a bit more than we had originally planned, significantly increased the beauty of the finished space. The kitchen he built for us is the heart of our home, and when we recently put our home on the market to sell, our agent remarked, “Your kitchen will sell your home.” He was correct. In all the buyer feedback we got, the kitchen was uniformly praised. We are so grateful for all that he has done for us over the years in making our home so much more comfortable, beautiful, and suited to our family’s needs, and would heartily recommended him.
