Do not use roof company. I purchased my home in late 2021 with the disclosure the roof was replaced in 2017 due to fire damage. Permits were actually done in 2018. Just a year living here we had water leaking from ceiling in corner of room. Insurance adjuster and 3 separate roof inspectors all say the water was entering due to improper installation when the roof was replaced. Anyways they had to take Sheetrock off ceiling and come to find out some of the wooden beams that must have been in fire weren’t replaced or properly fixed. The wood is literally crumbling off when touched looks like probably kilz or shellac painted on. I can’t get my roof fixed with insurance because this company has a permit and seller had insurance claims for roof replaced. I called the company to give them the opportunity to come by and roofer stated he didn’t guarantee the work to me so there is no warranty and that his “secretary” would call me in the next day. This is day 4 still no update. I gave them the opportunity.

John Beck is the most honest man in the roofing business. Or any business for that matter. He is a man of integrity. He cares about his customers, their property, minimizing noise, the effect on neighbors, and delivering genuine satisfaction. They are a rare family business.John and his coworkers have done every possible repair for my home in Center City Philadelphia, my photography studio, and our little boutique hotel on eighth Street. Repairing the roof on the boutique hotel was the hardest job they ever did. But they had to do it right so they took off seven layers of roofing down to the original rafters from 1787! A new roof was put down with new historically certified shingles. They always do it right. They get permits. They make a difference. And they find solutions. I think my husband has given them 25 or more jobs in downtown Philadelphia and we are grateful they are here. I recommend him highly. I moved into a house in center city Philadelphia where the previous owners had used Beck family roofing to replace the roof. Within 2 years of replacing the roof there was a notable leak causing significant damage. I called to use their warranty. After chasing them around for months to get them to come honor their warranty I had to hire a different service to fix the issue. They not only cost me hours of effort calling (not to mention the owner yelled at me for requesting an appointment time) but money as the issue only got worse. Scheduled multiple appointments with them to which they never showed AND never called to tell me they would not be showing. They then lied to my property management about me being unresponsive and unavailable for them to survey my rental. I'm preparing my paper trail proving otherwise and forwarding to my management company in hopes that they take their business elsewhere.Stay away from these people. Extremely unprofessional.
