Update 2024: We have had several contractors on our roof servicing our HVAC and they've always super super complimented our roof an how amazing it looks! I still always recommend Frank and Loonstyn to everyone, and am just super thankful they helped us. Even someone I recommended now raves about them! Every time we think about them we just feel relieved that we hired them to help us, and they made the process really nice and easy.Loonstyn and Frank are amazing, definitely don't hesitate to reach out to them! Frank is very kind and patient, and willing to go the extra mile to help his customers. The team of contractors/workers always came on time, were mindful of our house/neighbors, and did a great job repairing and replacing our roof.We hired them to help us fix a roof leak that we've had since buying our house. Frank came out to assess our leak, and he gave us two options: small fix which was sealing the roof with a paint mixture, and then replacing the entire roof. We went with the smaller option first since we've had so many issues and have paid other contractors a lot of money to fix our leak. Ultimately, it didn't work since our issue seemed to mostly be condensation building up under 4-6 layers of old roofing material and we had the entire roof ripped off and replaced by Loonstyn. Loonstyn worked well with an HVAC team to have our air conditioner removed from the roof while they redid it. Loonstyn was on time every day they said they would be, and Frank even came by and had his team correct a few mistakes after we paid. I can tell they really care about their customers, because the mistakes were not detrimental but still important to Frank to fix.I have no doubt that Frank will help us out in the future if anything happens to our roof.Services: Roof inspection, Roof repair

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. This team does great work and the communication is top notch. Through the estimate and scheduling my roofing job, I never waited more than a few hours for a response from Frank, such a great guy. I had quite a few problems with my roof, including issues with the drain and flashing around the perimeter. Frank gave me a fair price and detailed the work that needed to be performed to get everything 110%. This is a company that takes pride in their work and I appreciate businesses that operate this way. Worth every penny in my opinion. Highly recommend to anyone with roofing needs, thank you again!

I called Loonstyn (Frank) on a Saturday after we had an aggressive rain storm the night prior and our ceiling started leaking. Frank came out the next day and took pictures and thoroughly explained where the problem areas were. The quote was thorough and extremely fair. The team was out within the week and applied a modifier rubber roof in about half a day. Leak is fixed, roof looks great, and could not recommend them enough.

Frank and his team did a great job with replacing my roof and fixing some issues from another contractor. He's very responsive, quick turn around from providing and estimate to starting work, and no surprise charges. I would highly recommend as Frank and his team handled a complete tear off down to the rafters and rebuilt the roof and installed new gutters as well. My house is over 100 years old and gave his team some surprises during the tear off that they were able to handle with ease. We had loonstyn come out after the recent snowfall led to a leak in the ceiling of our south Philly homes second floor.Everyone we interacted with were polite and prompt in their follow ups. Frank came out to assess the situation and gave us multiple options to remediate the issue. Loonstyn Roofing really sets the standard for contractors. Loonstyn had Impeccable communication from start to finish. A neighboring house fire caused our roof to leak recently. I called and left a message on a Saturday, got a callback first thing Monday morning and got an emailed estimate and the work completed all within the week. Great experience and incredible work. Constantly professional and was able to work to get out and complete the project quickly.They did a phenomenal job working with tight spaces for a 3 story row home.Work to resolve a number of different issues we were having including, pooling water on the roof, sealing a crack on the side of the home and sealing windows. They cut and added a vent for bathroom fan.Great work, accurate quote and great clean up after they left which very few people do.

Everyone here is very professional and responsive. Stacy was very diligent when our initial correspondence had some phone tag- she kept trying to connect, and within one day, we had something by scheduled. I bid this new white rubber roof job out to several companies and by far Loonstyn was the most detailed, professional and flexible. It was a really good experience. One of my bathroom skylights sustained irreparable damage due to a very strong wind/rainstorm in early April 2023. I was researching roofers for another issue I was having, and happened to find Loonstyn Roofing, a few months prior. A roofing remedy now being rather much more urgent, I opted to go with Loonstyn, have my flat rear roof re-membraned also, since that was over 20 yrs old; and get both of my skylights replaced, as they were rather “antique”, (the damaged one about 95 years old). Frank at Loonstyn was responsive, timely and clear with communication at every step, and the price was reasonable. There was no waiting around to get on their schedule. The roofing crew got the job done quickly, was respectful of my property, and removed all traces of debris. They even vacuumed old leaves off my 2 skylight screens, which I was not expecting. (I’ve not always had such thorough customer service from a roofer and many times when they are needed again, you can’t find them…). I count myself as a satisfied customer, and hope to have a continued positive roof-maintenance relationship with Loonstyn Roofing going forward. You know the saying—“No roof, no house”--- it’s true; & such a relief when you don’t have to hunt around for a reliable Philly-area roofer anymore, because roofing issues so often are not convenient to deal with. Now I can enjoy hearing the rain on my skylights again! A friend recommended Loonstyn Roofing to me after having a good experience. Making an appointment for an estimate was easy, and the quote I received was the most economical; I appreciated that they were able to find a solution that didn't jump right to replacing the entire roof. Frank answered all of my questions quickly by email. The work was done in a few hours and comes with a warranty (so long as you keep up with their recommended maintenance schedule, and they'll reach out to remind you of when that's due--one less thing to remember!). Overall my experience was much smoother than it has been with other contractors in the city.

Loonstyn replaced our roof a few years ago. The price was reasonable (middle of the pack), but the service is exceptional. Not only did they schedule, come, and finish on-time, but as we’ve had issues with our neighbor’s roof, they’ve come out two times over the last year to investigate, patch, and document what was needed (under the warranty, despite part of the issue being out of their control). Before moving in to our current home we had it checked over by an inspector who found that there was dipping in the roof which had been leading to some pooling. With there being a thunderstorm or two per week right now, having it checked and sorted pretty quickly was the order of the day.Thankfully, Loonsytn Roofing were there to answer the call! I am not a fan of phones but even arranging for somebody to come out was an enjoyable time and a couple days later Frank arrived to survey the situation. After a perusal of the rooftop he presented a couple options that were possible - a quick patch job or a complete resurfacing - and a quote was in my inbox by the end of the day.As luck would have it, the day of the job was a break in the rainstorms but to make extra sure that nothing was going to catch us out he'd arranged for two crews to come that morning. They arrived a few minutes early as well and had the whole roof ripped up, relaid, leveled and resurfaced, all within 4 hours.It's no surprise that with the typhoon that swept over the city last night, when an old neighbor found a substantial leak, we passed on the name Loonsytn Roofing to them!

I would recommend Loonstyn Roofing to anyone in the area looking for a new roof. They did our our row home in South Philly on the 1500 block of Wharton Street. I priced three (3) contractors. Frank was the only one to show up early (and on the correct day) to give me the quote. He was fully available by phone and email for my questions about the quote. The pricing, responsiveness and punctuality sealed the deal, so I selected him to do the work. They came on the day they said they would and finished early. After the work was done, he still answered questions I had. They also used a drone to take photographs of the roof following the work. Had an excellent experience with this company! I needed an estimate for either a new roof or to patch some problem areas.
