I had been reaching out to different contractors for quotes on some work I needed done, but when I was explaining the issue I felt dismissed by most of them. From the first phone call with Mr. Contractor I knew they were actively listening and not just looking for the next job. Steve came out to take a look and was honest and expectations and deadlines even before providing a quote. We discussed different options which would accommodate what I was looking for and within my budget. When his team started the work we ran into an unexpected issue which they were also able to resolve. Each member of the crew were as polite as they were professional, with high regard to the work completed - some days starting a little earlier or staying a little later. I work from home and would have never known I had a team of contractors working on my house. When the work was done, even my yard looked new and undisturbed. We contacted Mr. Contractor because we had water entering the house through a kitchen window and above the basement door because of severe storms. Steve arrived within a couple of days, looked at the windows and doorway, and suggested that the windows be capped. He quoted a fair, competitive price and kept us informed as to when his crew would be available to do the job. His 2 man team were professional and efficient, taking only three hours to do the work (6 windows, 2 floors), and cleaned up after they were done. The capped windows look attractive and blend in with the siding. We will be in contact with Mr. Contractor if there are any problems after the next storm. Thanks,

I’ve used them for two different projects and they have been amazing. The prices are fair and the work is high quality.This past time they forgot to install an access panel and they were back first thing the next day to get it done. The guys even fixed a loose handle on my fridge that’s been bugging my for months.I’ve never worried about leaving the crews alone in my house; they’ve always treated my home with respect and been careful of my kitties who occasionally think they should explore the outdoors.Really excellent work and service.

I have worked with several contractors over the years but now Steve with Mr. Contractor is my go to guy for the last 5 jobs now because he is so reliable, excellent with communication, fair pricing, and does excellent quality work. He initially helped us find a leak that nobody else could, then we hired him to repair dormers on the 3rd story requiring coordination with animal control, and most recently he installed a beautiful new vinyl floor in our basement gym. His crew was respectful, timely, and cleaned up after themselves. The office staff is also very friendly.

We're so pleased with the work the Mr. Contractor team completed for our project to convert a rundown closet into a pantry.Steve has been great to work with since the first visit he made to provide an estimate, and his communication throughout the project has been top notch! His team took our custom shelving plans and worked efficiently on their delivery of the final product. The team was also such a pleasure to talk details with as they completed the work. Such a polite group of guys!I've also been such a big fan of how the Mr. Contractor team goes about their business with regards to administrative items such as approving estimates and completing payments. Ken and his crew did great work for us! We had a long list of projects that needed doing, including having the walls patched and painted, a kitchen light removed and replaced, and converting a structurally-unstable closet into a half bath. My wife and I hired Mr. Contractor for a significant job for our house. We added a room onto the third floor of our house. They helped us find an architect, and supported us through the permiting process (which is arduous in Philadelphia). Throughout the construction processes all of the carpenters and other laborers were extremely polite and kind. Alex and Matt especially. Even the subcontractors that were hired were very kind, polite and friendly. The quality of the work is absolutely top of the board. The only thing I would say to anyone wanting to have construction of this nature done on your home, is to make sure you are very clear on what you want done in detail. On a few occasions we had to have those types of clarifying conversations, and thankfully they were always well received, and the work was accomplished exactly the way we wished. I will definitely work with Lonnie and Mr. Contractor again.

Mr. Contractor, Inc. was recommended to me by a friend to have some structural and roof repairs done to my house. Previous owners had let a small roof leak in our addition go unrepaired for years (and covered up during the sale), and the original framing looked half-finished in some places, so we were worried about the structural integrity of both of our bathrooms. Mr Contractor came in very quickly to take a look at the damage and came up with a plan to address both the rot to the structure and the cause from the roof and stucco.They were able to come in quickly, between rains, and knock out both roofs, taking the excessive amount of layers off and rebuilding from the wood back up. They also took care of the roof drainage, added insulation and siding to the outside walls, a storm door, and full gutters. While the ceiling of the downstairs bathroom was out, they also drilled through the original brick wall in the kitchen and added the exhaust for my range hood.The house looks amazing! I was really impressed with their promptness and professionalism, their willingness to work with me on requests, like the vent exhaust, and the help in the process as well as the updates they were giving throughout. They were able to take care of the structural job with less work than they had originally anticipated too!We highly recommend using Mr. Contractor, Inc., and will be going back if/when we need more help with our projects!

Had some structural work done in my basement, as well as concrete patio re-done, a new back door and a new back porch. Response time was incredibly fast compared to other contractors I've had.Steve was great to deal with on the front end: I had multiple projects that needed to be done and he broke down the costs for each, as well as providing options for different materials.Carpenters Jason and Richard did solid, fast work. My basement was a tricky job and they took time to deal with all aspects. The new back deck is built very strongly, with quality materials and good workmanship. The entire team, including additional workers and electricians, was courteous, professional and friendly.Deficiencies were addressed quickly and with minimal pushback - I felt like they were understanding of the project, heard my perspectives on what needed adjusting, and were working to make the job the best it could be. Pricing is higher than others, but you get what you pay for: having qualified, skilled people who are good communicators is worth it.

Mr. Contractor has completed several projects for our home, many of which were very complicated while we were living here. They were completed on time and on budget. We were given updates every day, they asked our opinions on how to handle certain aspects of the jobs, and when issues arose (which they always will in any project, with any contractor) they addressed them professionally and quickly. You don’t have to worry about a revolving door of subcontractors overseeing your projects. It’s always the same respectful, professional crew. They truly care about their work and their customers, and it shows. Can’t recommend these folks enough. I don't usually write reviews but I am making an exception. I had a very good experience with Mr. Contractor. I was referred to this company by my realtor. My call was answered right away by Jennie. She is very nice office manager that handled many of my needs and took my payments. She also had a great sense of humor. Ken was my sales advisor and had so many great ideas for my Kitchen and Bathroom renovations. He showed me a ton of photos of before/after of jobs he completed for other clients. He even showed me several positive reviews and directed me where I could go to read 100's more. Since I am skeptical about reviews shown to me, I asked if he had any clients I could call. He gave me 3 names with phone numbers. When I called these former clients, I was told only amazing things about Mr. Contractor and Ken and his brothers (Barry and Lonnie). The prices were on the higher side (he wasn't the cheapest, but not the most expensive either) but the quality was fantastic. He completed the job on time, in fact a few days earlier than estimated. There was no surprises added to the bill. In fact, he even did a few things extra that he did not charge me for. His team was awesome. He had Rob do custom cabinets for me. Chad did a great job with the electric. Joe and Dave did a great job with the carpentry. Ken was away for a few days but he had his son, Steve, help out. Steve is also a sales advisor and extremely helpful. I was very lucky to hire Mr. Contractor. I got one heck of a team. I even liked that these guys all had company trucks and uniforms and even had a real office location. I never felt for one second that these guys were a fly-by-night outfit. All my friends and family that have visited my home since the project all have complimented me on how great it turned out. I tell anyone that I know in Philadelphia looking to remodel their home to call Mr. Contractor!

Found Steve online after I had a significant leak in my upstairs hallway. He was extremely responsive and arrived the next day to assess the damage and diagnose the problem. The team did an amazing job redoing our back patio. The quality is suberb, they were professional throughout the process and got the job done as quickly as possible. Ken checked in regularly to ensure everything was going well and provided useful suggestions throughout. There was a small item I wanted rectified after completion and the crew came back within a week and fixed it to perfection!!
