Jeff did a great job installing two heavy mirrors (one only a concrete wall). He was incredibly friendly, completed the tasks quickly, and cleaned up afterward including the boxes. After my appointment he also talked me through another project I want to do and gave me ideas on how to make it work.The home hero team is super attentive with a lot of communication about appointments and checking in with your satisfaction. I will definitely use Home Hero again !

The service we received from Home Hero was excellent. Their booking and billing department was responsive and thorough. Communication was excellent, and they were even able to offer a fairly accurate virtual quote based on photos and repair descriptions sent ahead of time. Our final bill ended up being slightly higher than the estimate, but we expected this going in based on a conversation we had during booking. I should also mention that their original quote was almost half of the next cheapest estimate we got. So even though the final bill ended up a little more than our estimate, it was still an incredible value for the quality of service and work we received.The repair technicians who completed the work were punctual, polite, professional, and efficient. While another local handyman company offered nothing but complaints and problems when they inspected our repair requests, Home Hero offered creative and simple solutions.Ultimately, we had a new door hung, a railing installed, and a cracked wooden step bull-nose repaired, and it took them about 3 hours, not including trips to/from home depot. All in all, this felt like quick work, and the quality is great. This is the best experience I have had with a handyman service, and would highly recommend home hero to any of my friends/neighbors. The Home Hero remodeled my shower and vanity. It was a 2-week + 2-day job that stretched a little long, as they ran into some issues with my plumbing and such. I felt bad about it, but THEY were apologetic to me. The work is superb and we now feel like we're millionaires every time we step into our new shower.The best thing about the process was definitely the customer service. The guys were there on time, every day, and were very accommodating. They answered all our questions and made us feel comfortable with the whole process. The owner himself took the time to get back to me, promptly, with every single question or issue I brought up.I've had contractors quote this job, and tell me they could save me some money if I picked up all the materials and dumped all the trash myself after demolition. Yeah, I'll do all that with my Honda Civic. Home Hero didn't mess around, and even with fees and everything else, they still came in under the other guys.A+ job, and I intend to use them again.Service: Remodeling

We had recessed lighting installed in the first floor of our row home. The entire process with the Home Hero was professional and low stress. Josh was the one who was assigned to our job, and we are so happy with the quality. He arrived on time everyday and did great work. I was so worried about the project because we have a 16 month old to wrangle, but it went so smoothly. Josh also got the work done in less time than the estimate and under budget. What more could you ask for? Next time we have a project to do around the house, we will absolutely be calling them again.

The Home Hero was the best experience I've ever had with a contractor. We utilized Home Hero to demolish existing cabinetry and install a dishwasher, including electric and plumbing hookups.Pete responded almost immediately with a quote. Included with the quote was immense detail that helped us get the project started on the right foot. Scheduling was very straight forward. They arrived on time, and completed the work in less than the allotted time. Installation was clean, no debris, and the dishwasher works great.10/10 will book again!

Everything we needed done was completed, except one thing that after discussion needed a product that had to be ordered. That work was also completed promptly and efficiently. Also, work was done in a neat and tidy way and nothing in our house was broken, which is something else we’ve experienced too often.Wiring this review one year after work was done as we are getting ready to call Home Hero again.Highly recommend!

Home Hero Todd completed a bathroom drywall repair and paint job at our place. We are exceptionally pleased with the outcome. Todd was professional, pleasant and meticulous in his approach. Our bathroom looks fantastic. Further, The Home Heros pricing was competitive and the prompt, efficient and friendly manner of their support staff (especially Jenelle) make them easy to do business with. After going through many sub par contractors, I finally found one that I would definitely recommend. They do great work and are very clean. Home Hero did two jobs for us: they installed dimmer switches, and they painted two rooms. Hiring them was the easiest, most efficient thing we have ever done - and we so appreciated their professional replies and their speedy, easy scheduling. But ever since they installed dimmer switches in our bedroom, we can no longer run appliances (e.g. steamer) in that room without a short. The painting was very sloppy - they did not smooth or dust walls, or repair minor drywall damage as they said they would when they provided the quote. The edging is extremely sloppy. Throughout all of this, the admin staff handled everything *very* professionally and courteously, and even sent the same painter back to fix some of the sloppy paint job (he did the bare minimum with an attitude and even made some of the edging worse). We LOVED the admin and the structure of getting online quotes, etc., but the actual work quality wasn’t worth the saved effort (though I SO wish it was!). Probably a great for landlords trying to get small jobs done in rented spaces, but we won’t have them back to our home again.Update: The longer I have to live with this sloppy and uneven paint job, the more unhappy I get.Service: Paint indoors

We’ve have the home hero out for baby proofing (Chris) and to wall mount an electric fireplace (Joshua). Both handymen were incredibly skilled, caring, and friendly. Extremely happy with the quality of the work and the ease of communication/payment with the company. Pete Rose, the owner, was also great at answering questions we had as first time parents baby proofing our awkward south Philly rowhome staircases. You absolutely get what you pay for, so worth it compared to other flaky handymen we’ve had who never come back to complete the job. Can’t recommend enough! Thanks home hero!!

As this was our first time using Home Hero, and their plumber Mr. Tubs, we weren't sure what to expect (even though they had great reviews). It took less than 24 hours to book our appointment (leaking shower). Mr. Tubs was scheduled for two days later. Day of, they called ahead and arrived early, respected our need for distance (COVID-19), and were done in an hour. It was by far the best handyman experience we've had and I know we will be using them for future work.

I used them 2 years ago and wanted to wait to write this review.I am totally pleased with their work.I used their package deal where we bought 3hrs of work time and gave them a long list of serious work (install automatic garage door openers etc.).I was so impressed that they got all the work done in1 day.And 2 years later everything is still standing and in great shape (suriving 3 kids being crazy).I totally recommend them.

The Home Hero to the rescue! When a DYI project started to get too stressful we decided to call on The Home Hero so we could sit back, relax, and know the job would be done right. Our project was replacing bathroom mirrors with medicine cabinet which required drilling into a beautiful tile wall that we didn't want to mess up. The work was done beautifully and the Home Hero even went the extra mile and helped us exchange a broken cabinet at Lowe's.
