They deserve more than 5 stars. Jim and his team are fabulous. They responded very quickly to water pooling in my basement and put a plan in place to fix it. They did not try to sell me on a bunch of unnecessary stuff I didn’t need, but provided an honest opinion on a solution and educated me about both the cause of the issue and the fix for it. They truly care about their customers, even checked in after they’ve left to make sure I was happy with the finished product. Everyone on the team was super friendly, hardworking, and knowledgeable about the whole process. Highly recommend these guys for any basement services

I contacted ARK for a somewhat emergent issue that was discovered during demo of our basement renovation. ARK waterproofed my basement a couple of years ago. Before then I would find water in portions of my basement during Spring thaw or after heavy rains. The water was rarely more than a couple of inches deep, but it was troublesome. This week we have had record rainfall in our area, and the nearby Ohio River is at major flood level due to rain and ground saturation. My basement is almost completely dry. (I have sandstone foundations so some water seep is normal in high rain conditions.) I see only a shadow of water, and a dehumidifier in the basement has been able to keep up with it. The work I hired ARK Basement Services to do might be the best investment I've made in the house. Thank you to the ARK team!

Last year I researched companies to install interior french drains in part of my basement. I picked three with excellent reviews & got estimates from all. I opted for Ark because the salesman wasn't high pressure & I liked the plan he presented more. This year when I was ready to do the rest of my basement, I didn't even get other bids since I already trusted ARK. This time there was a minor issue that I didn't notice before the workers left. We had ARK install a drainage and sump pump system in our basement due to water leakage and damage. It was nice and easy from the start to the finish of the project. We have been doing a bunch of home repairs, so we have been having many people come give us quotes for things and their rep Joe was mercifully quick, knowledgeable, and didn't use any high pressure sales stuff. (good luck and/or r.i.p. if you are getting window estimates from some of these companies) They also beat another waterproofing companies price quote. They split the work into two days and started about 3 weeks from when we signed up. Thanks!

I had ARK install an interior french drain in my home and was so impressed with everything, we had them install the same in my daughter's home. After a few months, we had a problem with the outlet hose. I called Jim and he requested I call the office and make an appointment for the service rep to come to her home and take a look at it. I had an appointment scheduled within a few days of my call. To my surprise, Fred and his partner showed up early with a truck full of equipment, determined what the problem was and the solution. The work was done in a couple of hours and the problem was solved.I would not hesitate to contact ARK for anybody having water issues in their basement. Jim is great to work with and explains the entire process. ARK also provides great customer service. Kudos to Fred!

For the first time in over 10 years, we don't have water in our basement! Every penny spent was worth it!What a fantastic job by Johnny and Tyler. Jim came by and carefully explained what needed to be done and provided us with a quote that evening (much more reasonable and not salesy like some of the other companies). His crew arrived early in the morning and stayed until later in the evening to get the work completed. They didn't an excellent job and thoroughly cleaned up after they were finished.

This is the third time we've tried to fix the issues in our basement, so we were a little nervous, but they did a good job explaining what needed to be done. They also have a product to treat iron ochre which no one else offered. My husband has a severe mold allergy, and they were very careful not to contaminate the upstairs of our house. We have had a few soaking rains since the work was completed and so far the basement has stayed dry. They were even able to remove the existing mold.

The team who installed my interior french drain in my garage were very good at their job and were in and out in no time. The finished product looks great! They went over everything that they were going to do before they started work, and afterwards, went over the details of what they did and the process to be able to use the space again. Would recommend to anyone who needs this type of work done. Also the Owner, Mike, came out personally and talked over everything prior to the work. Very professional.

Ark Basement Services came out to install a sump pump in our basement. Unfortunately, everything that they did, they did in just about the worst way possible.- They left trash behind.- They took the basement doors off their hinges, poured concrete so that the doors no longer fit, and just didn't install the doors again. We walked in to find the doors lying all over the floor. My husband had to grind down the concrete they had poured just to get the doors to fit again.- We had discussed removing a section of drywall to install a French drain. When Ark removed the drywall, they ripped it so that it damaged the remaining drywall around it. They also ripped out the studs behind the drywall that attached to the concrete wall. My husband and I had to patch the damaged drywall section and attach new studs to the concrete behind, made more difficult because of the damage done to the walls.- Ark installed the sump pump in the one spot we asked them not to. Unfortunately we were out of the house while they were installing it. Anticipating that, we went over the blueprints on the phone in painstaking detail. Ark gave us a diagram of exactly where they would install the pump, which we reviewed with them over the phone. The only point we really wanted made was that we didn't want the sump pump installed under the dryer, as this would make it inaccessible. We came back to the house when the job was done to see that it the sump pump was installed directly under the dryer....- We asked Ark to let us know if there were any changes of plans/questions. We also asked them to give us a call when they were finished. We never heard back.Looking back on it, I am guessing that they must be cheaper than the other options because they do a lower-quality job? I think if you want to get a good job out of them, you need to be physically present and micromanaging while they work.

From the in-home estimate to completion of the project, the entire ARK team was responsive, respectful, and efficient. Mike and his team at Ark Waterproofing solved one of the largest headaches I've endured as a new home owner. Due to the age of my home I was regularly experiencing water issues with my old Pittsburgh basement. Mike came out the same week I called him and provided an estimate in minutes. He walked me from front to back regarding the process and we were scheduled 2 weeks out. Compared to the 3 other companies I engaged Ark was by far the cheapest and solved my issue with a minimally invasive strategy.
