I have a large home with a pool house, covered porch, breezeway and shed. Hip roof, shed dormer(s) and gables are all there, along with a pretty steep pitch. Valtz roofing was my third estimate and I went with them because of a strong referral from a relative and their price. I was flexible and told them they could replace the roof at their convenience. I dealt with Katie in the office who answered the phone and responded to all my emails. This month I got a call that I was on the schedule and a dumpster would be delivered. After the dumpster came the crew and materials. For three days there were five guys all over my roofs like spider monkeys jacked up on Mountain Dew. They did as good a job as anyone at a better price than anyone. I thought after they left I would have to pick up nails and roof pieces but at most there was only a pocket full of stuff. I am very satisfied with Valtz Roofing and wish every contractor did business the way they do.Service: Roof installation

Don't even waste your time, very unprofessional and disorganized outfit. Called them for an estimate back in Febuary. It took 3 weeks to a month to get the estimate but the price was fair, however despite advertising GAF material on their buisness card the initial estimate called for lower grade material.I requested a new quote for premium material which they gave me, and I accepted. I then asked when they could start and when and how they would like a deposit. I've got nothing but the run around from them since. First the excuse was the job was handed to some phantom project managers who never followed up, then it was they couldn't find a dumpster, then "we'll be there soon, maybe next week".It's now June and I'm no closer to having my roof done.It sounds like the job is too large perhaps too complex for their crew, but why not just say that? I've been in the residential construction buisness for over 30 years, and if a roofer is having trouble finding a dumpster company it's not a very good company and generally an indication that they are behind in their billing. Whatever the case the industry term for contractors like this is "ham and egger" and I can't imagine the problems I'd have had if they actually started the job.Look elsewhere.
